In the daytime, Johannes-Faustuz looks like a posh upper-middle class European man working either at the hospital as a surgical oncologist or a substitute professor at the university. But in the nighttime, the Herr Doktor reveals his true self as a Grim Reaper and heir of the Kasper bloodline infamous for being involved with humanity’s darkest moments in history behind the scenes (from hunting witches to body snatching to human experimentations). The current line of Kaspers have another secret that makes them one of the most (if not the most) feared families within the occult community: they are directly descended from Death Himself, making them extremely powerful when fighting against rogue creatures and stealthy when collecting souls. Though they are still seen as cruel and murderous in the world of the mythical and occult, in the “Real World” Hr. Dr. Kasper and his family are actually quite courteous and a bit demure in accordance to normal human standards.
