The Kasper Family’s prized inherited trait that allows those who have it to see a person’s lifespan, health condition, and a monster’s weakness. It gets its name from the family story of a Danish Viking ancestor who drank out of the well where the Norse god Odin supposedly plucked out his eye for the sake of wisdom.
Only males directly descended from the original bearer who has blue eyes and blond to light brown hair can inherit it. Physically it’s expressed as Heterochromia, the left eye always being blue while the right eye is always green. The blue eye has normal vision, but the green eye would glow yellow in the presence of monsters or being used to see a person’s vitals. When not in use, the green eye has limited vision and affects overall vision if not corrected with glasses or contacts. It takes a lot of energy and focus to use Odin’s Eye, making those who have it extremely irritable and in constant need of sweet snacks and caffeine to maintain it.
Currently only three Kaspers have it: Hr. Dr. Kasper, his son Cedrick, and his grandfather – the current patriarch Olaf Kasper also known as ”The (Deadly) Black Skull of Kiel”. The previous inheritors were Heinrich and Richard; Heinrich’s children Hansel and Hannah don’t have the trait being half Asian and having brown eyes.
