Freyja’s Family

Ragnar is Freyja’s oldest cousin, second in line to inherit STRÖM CORPORATIONS & INDUSTRIES after her. He’s currently Erik’s apprentice in blacksmithing occult weapons, making him head of manufacturing. He works closely with his younger brother Werner and younger cousins Einar and Gunnar. Ragnar and Werner are the sons of Erik’s younger brother Björn. Ragnar is married to Freyja’s fashion modeling rival Vivian Vandersmoot and has twin girls Erika and Sophia about the same age as Cedrick.

Werner is Ragnar’s younger brother, third in line to the Ström fortune. He has great artistic skill and eye for detail, making him in charge of designing and engineering new products. Werner was once betrothed to Freyja and expected to run the family business after they married, but those plans were dashed when she married Hr. Dr. Kasper instead. He still harbors a lot of hatred towards her and Erik since his parents’ were forced off the family property (they opposed Freyja being the heir of the family business since she’s female despite being the only child of the oldest son), but relieved he no longer has the burden of being the next head of estate. He also has no interest in having children – he actually hates them, especially Freyja’s son Cedrick who has a strong resemblance to him.

Einar is fourth in line, the oldest son of Erik’s youngest brother Sven. He and his younger brother Gunnar were left at the family estate after their parents were evicted for opposing Freyja’s claim to become the next head of the Strom Family and business. Einar actually thrived under Erik’s indifferent treatment of all the Strom children. He enjoyed playing with dolls and dress-up with Freyja, eventually coming out as gay when they were teenagers. Aside from men and fashion, Einar loves money – thus he easily became in charge of investing and keeping a sharp eye on the company’s funds.

Gunnar is last in line, only a few months younger than Freyja. He always had a crush on her over the years and looked up to her like an older sister. He was the family’s second choice after Werner to marry Freyja; when it was clear she was interested in a middle-class boy she met abroad, Gunnar was heartbroken. But he quickly got over his emotions after meeting Hr. Dr. Kasper, feeling relieved that Freyja picked someone who isn’t cruel like the other Ström family members and can combat Erik’s occasional stubbornness and hot temper. Because he’s sensitive and a great conversationist, Gunnar was placed in charge of marketing and publicity (it was him who gave Hr. Dr. Kasper his pseudonym “Jonah Fritz Ström” to keep his real identity obscured). Gunnar is currently dating Freyja’s assistant Bernadette Santamaria-Santos (who also happens to be an Aswang).
