The end of Sigrid’s diary. Freyja can’t believe it’s the end, but it is. - Sigrid died two days after giving birth to Johannes Faustuz on Christmas Day; for “normal people”, she died from blood loss and infection, but it was Death himself who arrived and took her soul away - not before Richard was ordered to deal the final blow straight through her heart. Since Sigrid’s passing, Richard’s health deteriorated over the next few years from feeling guilty and responsible of his beloved wife’s death; briefly he had moments of joy with his son, only to quickly spiral into deep depression being reminded of Sigrid. Richard died in 1984 when Faustuz was two-going-on-three while they were staying over at South Africa; Faustuz only has one vivid memory of Richard from his childhood: listening to his father sing as he fell asleep in his arms. —
