Sigrid’s diary — Coming home
Richard was an emotional wreck sobbing when he got back from his trip across America hunting monsters, collecting herbs for medicinal uses, and randomly dropping by universities to meet up with former professors and classmates; had he known that Sigrid was expecting, he would of abandoned his work and spent all those months with her. But Sigrid didn’t want to interrupt his work and thought it’d be a happy surprise for Richard when he returned - which didn’t quite turn out the way she hoped. - Sigrid doesn’t know that Richard is not only overjoyed but also extremely saddened, knowing that she’ll die from complications of childbirth just as Death had finally arranged. He also feels responsible of her fast-approaching death since he got her pregnant, fulfilling the terms of her life curse (this guilt leads to his death within two years). Until the birth of their child, Richard made sure Sigrid was well cared for by all means. —
