It’s another experiment with the #mentalcanvas app. ^^💛 I’m much happier with this pic using the app’s effects, but the thing is that I got lazy not coloring this in - and I’d would of gone insane if I had because of all the details I’d want and need to put in, and I’m still frustrated trying to get the black frame to be just right on the outside…😵‍💫 I even recycled an old pic of Richard’s hotel room to provide a background. I included a version with his girlfriend Sigrid (3rd Slide). ••• It’s back to the early 1980s with Richard testing out his homemade computer in the hotel room he rents out from distant relatives while he’s staying at Copenhagen to see Sigrid and occasionally work at the university (the Kaspers homeland is Jutland which is currently split between Denmark and Germany, so the overall family is scattered across the two countries). “Zimmer 13” is the reserved room for the patriarch of Kasper Family at the hotel, and as the current heir (after his older brother Heinrich gave up his right to marry Yoko) Richard gets access to it during travels across Northern Europe and Scandinavia; it’s also the same room where Richard and Sigrid would sneak away to avoid Aina and others whenever they want a moment alone.👀 — @mental_canvas #malecharacter #femalecharacter #originalcharacters #originalcharacter #man #girl #computer #plant #coffeemug #glasses #desk #lamp #hotelroom #room #ipaddrawing #digitalart #digitaldrawing #autodesksketchbook #blackandwhite #black #white

💀Page 10: „Es tut mir leid…“ Richard/Death used up the last of the summoning spell‘s energy to maintain his restored human form; Hr. Dr. Kasper is grateful that his father saved him, but also upset that he could’ve just quickly gotten rid of the Cipactli at the start of the fight - thus preventing Granger‘s injury. — #malecharacter #femalecharacter #man #men #grimreaper #grimreapers #father #son #originalcharacter #originalcharacters #digitalart #digitaldrawing #ipaddrawing #comic #animestyle

💀Page 9: Papa to the rescue! He’s been gone since he was a toddler, but Death/Richard is still very protective of his only son. And with one slash he got rid of the God-ranked rogue monster when it was extremely tiring for the others. — #malecharacter #femalecharacter #man #grimreaper #originalcharacter #digitalart #digitaldrawing #ipaddrawing #comic #animestyle

💀Page 8: “Is this the end?!” With a hand on his neck tightly gripping, it’s easy to think he’s dying; but with a sudden whooshing of blood and ability to breathe, something drastic has happened. — #malecharacter #man #grimreaper #originalcharacter #originalcharacters #digitalart #digitaldrawing #ipaddrawing #comic #animestyle

💀Page 6: Granger gets bit. She’s not very happy with getting hurt, and she’s not happy seeing multiple foreign Reapers around - including Death. Cedrick is just as skilled in treating wounds like his father (he’s a Wunderkind undergoing studies to become a full-fledged surgeon), and like his father and grandfather before him, relies on Aina’s potions for healing. — #malecharacter #femalecharacter #boy #woman #grimreaper #grimreapers #originalcharacter #originalcharacters #digitalart #digitaldrawing #ipaddrawing #comic #animestyle

💀Page 3: Der Sensenmann - aka Death Himself, the OG Grim Reaper - aka Richard Kasper. Granger works alongside Death during the Dia de Los Muertos season as his secretary keeping the number of souls in check as they crossover; she’s never seen him in his human form in the last 600 years (her mother Yolanda is a Native American shaman and her father Humberto is a Spanish warlock, both able to live centuries by stealing lifespans from rogue creatures and passing their skills down to their children) so seeing him briefly restored with a summoning spell is a shock to her - especially when he looks like one of the foreign Reapers she sees as invaders on her turf. While restored, Death/Richard takes form at the age he would of been if he was still alive (his current incarnation was born in the 1950s, making him look like he’s pushing into his 70s). Despite looking more elderly, he’s just as strong as he was during his prime prior to leaving the living world. — #malecharacter #femalecharacter #man #woman #grimreaper #grimreapers #originalcharacter #originalcharacters #digitalart #digitaldrawing #ipaddrawing #comic #animestyle

Welp… I lied - I thought I’d draw only maybe two more pages for this quick story, but it ended up being about ten or eleven. Whoopsies… 🙃 💀Page 2: Hr. Dr. Kasper introducing his son to Granger (she’s not only annoyed seeing another foreign Reaper but also jealous that he’s got a reliable Junior Reaper unlike her younger sister Carmen). As foreign Reapers, both Kaspers are wearing traditional clothing from their homeland region out of curtsy for the host Reapers. — #malecharacter #femalecharacter #man #boy #woman #grimreaper #grimreapers #originalcharacter #originalcharacters #digitalart #digitaldrawing #ipaddrawing #comic #animestyle

A quick pic of Hr. Dr. Kasper I made in combination with #autodesksketchbook and #mentalcanvas a while back. Do I plan on making more pics like this? Yes, I do. #sketchdump of Aina Faustus and her grandson Hr. Dr. Kasper. - Every summer vacation Johannes Faustuz would visit from Kiel and stay with his grandmother in Copenhagen. Though Aina loves how much he acts a lot like her daughter Sigrid, she retains some bitterness of the fact that her grandson strongly resembles his father Richard (Sigrid looks a lot like Aina, except Aina is albino - Sigrid inherited her father’s light brown hair and pale blue eyes). Faustuz grew up loving plants, always wanting to know which ones were his mother’s favorite (his favorite flowers are cosmos and asters); Aina would also show her grandson the many places his parents would go out on dates, and even cook up the same meals she did for Sigrid and Richard. Since living abroad at Los Angeles, Faustuz doesn’t visit and spend as much time with his grandmother as much as he used to, but the two FaceTime at least once a month and Aina sends a yearly package of custom potions and mythical plant extracts. — #frauv8_ocs #frauv8ocs #originalcharacterart #originalcharacters #autodesksketchbook #digitalart #digitaldrawing #ipaddrawing #animestyle #malecharacter #femalecharacter #woman #baby #boy #man #flowers #blue #green #yellow #red #white #black #brown

Another #sketchdump with some extra tacked on the end. 💕Sigrid often gets teased by her mother Aina whenever she’s around Richard, especially when she’s caught chatting with him instead of working at the flower shop (both will talk nonstop about video games and sci-fi movies). It didn’t take long before Aina would also tease Richard, asking when he’ll propose and give her grandchildren. 📚Sigrid and two classmates at the all-girls (enchantress) academy. She was bullied for not being very rich (her father abandoned her and Aina, leaving them broke and Sigrid with less than 20 years of life), and relying on plants to create spells instead of “one’s inner ability” (enchantresses tend to be from high-born families with inherited wealth; using plants is also considered “primitive” to modern enchantresses, thus why Sigrid and Aina are both called “witches”). Despite this, Sigrid excelled in her studies and was ranked top student in the academy - only adding to the ire of her classmates. Her classmates were quick and eager to get Sigrid expelled when it was revealed she had been secretly dating; but since she died, they’ve expressed regret for their cruelty - especially after seeing Aina with her grandson. 💐Sigrid delivering a bouquet with her neighbor’s/home room teacher’s cat Hedy; she loves making and delivering flower bouquets because it brings joy to others. She also enjoys riding her bike to see the main sights of Copenhagen to briefly escape the academy and flower shop. Inside Aina’s greenhouse where her daughter Sigrid can be found tending to the hundreds of plants growing there. Every now and then the neighbor’s cat Hedy would make herself home to nap and bask in the sunlight amongst the plants; an even more rare sight inside the greenhouse is Sigrid’s boyfriend Richard (as the incarnation of Death, he’s afraid of killing her plants). Richard is more likely outside the greenhouse killing Tatzelwurms and other mythical pests threatening Aina and Sigrid’s livelihood as florists and “natural herbalists”(mother and daughter don’t like it when people call them “witches”). — #malecharacter #femalecharacter #man #girl #couple #cat #blackcat #flowers #plants #greenhouse #originalcharacter #originalcharacters originalcharacterart #lineart #digitalart #digitaldrawing #digitalinking #ipaddrawing #black #white #blackandwhite #animestyle #mangastyle

A few skin tone palettes I use for my OCs; I use similar colors when using alcohol markers. Some skin tones are trickier than others (especially fair and dark) due to not getting so dark and having the right amount of contrast between colors - if it’s any darker, fair skin turns into medium/olive skin; if dark skin is too dark, you can’t see any important facial details. — #frauv8_ocs #characterdesign #characterart #originalcharacter #originalcharacters #ocs #oc #digitalart #digitalsketchbook #digitaldrawing #ipaddrawing #autodesksketchbook #colorpalette #skintones #malecharacter #femalecharacter #man #woman

The last time I made one of these mock fashion magazine covers was all the way back in February… That’s 8 months… That’s a long time… 😅 - I have fun drawing OCs wearing current clothing or occasionally clothing from a past time period if they’re another era (1970s-1990s specifically). I’ve been seeing lots of sweats, oversized shirts, baggy pants, chunky boots, and lots of plaid and corduroy that’s highly influenced by the 1990s and early 2000s on shelves for the Fall season (it’s getting a bit too close to my late childhood to my tween years; in a few years we might be back to having Emo fashion, lol). Despite all the cozy clothes coming out, it’s still pretty warm out here in California - I can barely wear sweaters only in the morning and late night hours, otherwise it’s still too hot. I can’t wait until it gets really cold - I’m jealous of places that are like 55F during the daytime (*looking at Scandinavia right now*). — #autodesksketchbook #digitalart #digitaldrawing #ipaddrawing #ipadart #lineart #malecharacter #man #dog #originalcharacters #magazinecover #fashion #falloutfits #fallfashion #plaid #glasses #text #font #graphicdesign #black #white #red #orange #green #frauv8_ocs #fall

Something orange for October: it’s Cedrick Kasper and the family cat Klimt. October 13th is Cedrick’s birthday, and Klimt was his 9th birthday present from his grandfather Erik Ström; Cedrick picked Klimt because he was orange like his grandfather’s cat Klum (Klimt was also the runt of the litter, making him stand out even more amongst his siblings). As sweet and affectionate Klimt may be, he’s known to cause some trouble bringing in dead or dying critters, drinking out of Papa Kasper’s mug or Stern’s fishbowl, climbing up really high up trees (he’s a Norwegian Forest Cat), or tearing up the family’s emergency supply of toilet paper. As for Cedrick, he’s a young teenage wunderkind training to become a doctor like his father Johannes Faustuz and grandfather Richard, but also has a knack for crafting things like plushies and clothing like his mother Freyja. Being the only child of a Kasper and Ström, it’s not quite yet determined whether he’ll become a full-fledged Grim Reaper or occult weapons distributor/manufacturer; unless his parents have more kids (it’s possible but not likely - we’ll see), Cedrick is under a lot of pressure to choose once he’s 21 (right now he likes being a Junior Reaper, and he has plenty of distant cousins within the Ström family who can take care of things for him). — #autodesksketchbook #digitalart #digitaldrawing #ipaddrawing #malecharacter #originalcharacter #boy #cat #blue #pink #orange #white #black #grey #gray #red #fashion #bowlcut #glasses #boots #sweater #socks #shorts #skulls #blond
