•Fantasy Concept: Necromancer Mages’ Buffet •Necromancer Mages eat a lot of food considered disgusting to most other races and types of mages to replenish their magical energy. Their diet includes slimes, mushrooms, rat, bat, insects, swamp water, and zombie flesh. Because their powers require so much energy, Necromancer Mages have to constantly eat large amounts of food. Otherwise, Necromancer Mages will become both weak and very sour in mood, making them more prone to kill randomly without mercy. •Faustuz and Cedrick often fight each other for food, especially with the limited amount of swamps left due to human expansion. They are capable of eating other foods, but their magic power would not be as strong compared to eating their preferred diet. As a child, Cedrick often wants to eat whatever his father is eating not only to learn what is best to eat but also to get attention while he eats. HAPPY NEW YEAR!🎆 - It’s definitely #sweaterweather with the temperature getting below 75F/25C in the day and below 40F/5C at night - tomorrow’s low will be 28F/-3C. (IT’S LITERALLY FREEZING RIGHT NOW! 🥶) - So I couldn’t help drawing the Kaspers in fashionable sweaters this time. I wasn’t sure which version of Cedrick I wanted (sans glasses or with glasses), so I have both with the uncolored line work. The color scheme is also pretty much brown, grey, and black which are the basic colors of winter clothing. Johannes Faustuz is wearing a triangle design similar to what I’ve seen online but with different colors, Freyja is wearing a basic black/grey #sweaterdress, and Cedrick is wearing an #adidassweatshirt with a design I made up. - I also want to draw a cute little kinder Cedrick bundled up in all kinds of winter garb his mother would make him wear so he stays warm - keep an eye out for that sometime soon. When management decides to change the work schedule in short notice, especially when you were expecting a later call time with less work after working through the holidays. In Cedrick’s case, he’s being forced to take on more shifts and assignments on top of his usual work. - I’ve been working December 26th, 28th, 29th, 30th, and today (31st). I also work tomorrow for New Year’s Day, get two days off, then back to work January 4th, 5th, and 6th. And throughout all these days, post times had been made earlier with more races crammed in; therefore, it means having to drive through heavier traffic at the end of the day and getting less sleep waking up early to beat the morning rush. 😑 But hey, it gets the bills paid so I can’t complain too much. - Anyway, I couldn’t decide which version to post, so here’s all 6. Like Tricia, 55F/13C is #freezing for most people here in SoCal. Even 65F/18C is considered #cold for some people I know at work (which I think is crazy because I think it’s perfect 😎). Me? Hmm... I’d start complaining when it gets below 40F/4C, which happens to be about the same temperature inside the production truck I work in during the winter. I don’t mind the cold during the day; it’s just when the sun goes down or when I’m stuck inside for work is when I start getting uncomfortable, especially if I’m not wearing the right clothes. And I know there’s colder than 40F/4C - it’s snowed here once four years ago, and even that is obviously not the coldest it can get. There’s always someplace else that’s much colder. Puma just keeps taking my childhood favorites (besides Hello Kitty, Puma partnered with Barbie). - So yep, it’s pretty obvious that I like Adidas over Puma and Nike. It’s mainly because of their vivid colors and simple designs, they have many options to customize stuff, and their shoes are sooooo much more comfy compared to the Vans I used to wear for work (half the time I’m standing at my station and I have to walk a ways from the parking lot everyday). I realize that the skull mark on Freyja is on the wrong leg. 😑 And this time I drew Cedrick as a child instead of a teenager. - •Fantasy Concept: The Kasper Clan *Despite having impressive magical abilities, fighting skills, and being descended from a rare type of elf, Kaspers are looked down at by most of society due to their unorthodox dietary style. Kaspers are known to consume zombie flesh, slimes, vermin, insects, poisonous fungi, swamp water, and even soil to replenish their energy to cast spells and make medicines. Their symbol is the skull, which displays their direct association with Death himself. *Johannes Faustuz Kasper is the last known original member of the Kasper Clan that was killed off by King Erik Ström. He was claimed by the warrior king’s daughter Freyja before he was about to be sent away as a test subject for the king’s advisor, an albino witch named Marion. He was Princess Freyja’s slave for several years enduring all kinds of abuse, which led him to contemplate in taking her life for his freedom. But according to mage tradition, because a girl claimed him as her own, Faustuz has to take care of Freyja as his future wife; it becomes more apparent when she took him with her to escape an arranged marriage on her 18th birthday. The pair finally admitted to their feelings when they spent an accidental drunken night together, which is how Freyja got the clan’s mark on her leg. That all changed when she ran away and married her slave Faustuz, eventually having a son with him. This makes Cedrick sole heir to all of the warrior tribes when the other princes and princesses failed to have sons - that is if King Erik manages to take him away from his parents. Cedrick is also the only necromancer mage aside from his father, also making him the future chief of the Kasper Clan. On top of that, Cedrick is a prodigy in regards to medicine and elemental spells, which leads him into becoming a medic for the royal military. Freyja and Cedrick do not have a very close relationship due to her being gone hunting while he studies with his father.
