#inktober #flower pic no.26 - #hibiscus - The state flower of Hawaii and national flower of Haiti, this tropical flower comes in red, yellow, pink, purple, and white. They are used in herbal tea and food flavoring, not just as gardening plants. The hibiscus gets it name from an Ancient Greek derived name of a Roman botanist and doctor. This flower symbolizes delicate feminine beauty, fleeting glory and fame, young women, and the qualities of the perfect wife. - With the flower of feminine beauty and wives, it’s Asia and Freyja again. These ladies have grace, beauty, wits, and lots of attitude to share. - This pic was digitally inked and colored with #autodesksketchbook this time. It’s in the grey area whether I think counts for Inktober, but the #digitalink brushwork does resemble actual #ink, so I guess it’s a pass. - 5 more to go~ With some extras too, lol. — #inktober2018 #originalcharacters #femalecharacters #women #redflowers #digitalart #digitalartwork #digitalcoloring #sketchbook #moleskine #moleskinecahier #pencil #mechanicpencil

#inktober #flower pic no.23 - #queenanneslace - Named after Queen Anne of Great Britain and her great-grandmother Queen Anne of Denmark, this plant bears tiny flowers that resembles delicate lace. It is also known as #wildcarrot, and the root is edible when young before the plant flowers. But caution must be given when harvesting these plants due to its resemblance to #poisonhemlock. It can be a beneficial plant in attracting wasps and butterflies to crops, but it can be an invasive weed and its sap can cause skin irritations. Queen Anne’s Lace curved shape resembles a bird’s nest, giving its meaning of sanctuary. - It’s Rufus again for this pic (I used him for no.4 Iris earlier), but with his hair combed differently and sporting a beard instead of muttonchops. Pretty obvious why he was picked - he’s British and the name of the flower is from a British monarch. - This pic was a bit finicky making with my white pens not wanting to show up on the black ink at first, but my mood improved when the metallic silver went on smoothly. Overall, I am pleased with how this one came out. 🙂 Eight more to go... — #inktober2018 #originalcharacter #malecharacter #blackshirt #whiteflowers #ink #inkart #inkartwork #penart #penartwork #blackink #pen #pens #pentel #tradio #platinumpen #platinumpreppy #kuretake #kuretakebrushpen #ohuhu #ohuhumarkers #sketchbook #moleskine #moleskinecahier #blackandwhite

#inktober #flower pic no.17 - #sweetpea - A flower of sweet fragrance and multitudes of colors, it represents gratitude, simple pleasure, enjoyment of one’s company, and farewell. It is also a term of endearment people call their beloved ones. These plants were also used in genetic experiments, providing information about inheritance of physical traits. - It’s Freyja and Johannes Faustuz again, enjoying their time just cuddling together. “Schatzi” is Freyja’s word of endearment for both her husband and son, which sounds a lot like “Sweet Pea”, but from memory I remember it meaning a cute form of “Treasure” (correct me if I’m wrong). — #inktober2018 #inkart #inkartwork #inkdrawing #pens #pentel #tradio #kuretake #brushpen #platinumpen #platinumpreppy #pilotpen #fountainpen #blackink #sketchbook #moleskine #moleskinecahier #blackandwhitedrawing #blackandwhiteart #originalcharacters #couple #cuddling #plant

He won’t be that short for too long, lol. It’s no wonder why Faustuz is always so stoic and death glares at people as an adult - literally everyone always had looked down on him most of his childhood, and it doesn’t help being the class geek either. - Another old pic from last year: the #childhoodsweethearts Freyja and Johannes Faustuz. - I’ve been bogged down with work lately, which concerns me a bit with Inktober coming up. What I might have to do is cram 7 drawings in the few days I have off per week. 😬 We’ll see what happens - life right now has been tiring. — #digitalart #digitaldrawing #wacomdrawing #originalcharacters #originalcharacterdrawing #boygirl #girlboy #girl #boy #couple #children #throwbackdrawing #olddrawing

Tricia Williams and Cedrick Kasper... and Cedrick really looks a lot like his father with that #glare under those #glasses, lol. - They look like they could be a #couple, people often ask, and even Tyrone wishes they would go out on dates, but they’re definitely not a couple. - The biggest source of their tension is that Tricia often skips out in babysitting her little cousin Queenie for hangouts with her bestie Carmen either at the mall or local cafe, leaving her uncle Tyrone calling up Cedrick to cover for her whenever he’s free from work. Cedrick is also a few years younger than Tricia (he’s 15 while she’s 18), making her view him as “little spoiled brat” despite him being taller and a wunderkind completely done with school; she also makes fun of him and Hr. Dr. Kasper, which gets her uncle very nervous. As for Cedrick, he doesn’t think much of her other than irresponsible and capable of doing better if she stops skipping out of babysitting and occasionally school (he tries to help her out with homework, especially since she’s almost done with high school); he tries to avoid her as much as possible to prevent arguments and her teasing, but whenever he does have to be around her, Cedrick tries his best to be as cool-headed like his father. — #originalcharacters #originalcharacterart #originalcharacterdrawing #malecharacter #femalecharacter #teenagers #teenageboy #teenagegirl #digitalart #digitaldrawing #autodesksketchbook #sketchbookautodesk #ipadproart #ipadprodrawing #bluejeans #whiteshirt #frauv8_ocs

It’s a digital version of today’s #workdrawing: Cedrick enjoying a nice hot soy pumpkin latte among the #fallleaves. Why soy? Like his father, he’s lactose intolerant. And I can tell you firsthand as a SoCal gal, they are delicious, especially iced. - #firstdayoffall means pumpkin spiced drinks, sweaters, and colorful leaves. It’s also my favorite season because #fall food is yummy (I want to go to a real Oktoberfest one day), clothing actually looks good at this time of the year, and it’s not the quite the holiday season yet (I have a good reason to hate the holiday season - my birthday is Christmas Eve and it’s not fun competing with Jesus for attention). — #digitalart #digialdrawing #ipadproart #ipadprodrawing #autodesksketchbook #sketchbookautodesk #originalcharacter #originalcharacterart #originalcharacterdrawing #malecharacter #blond #glasses #drinkingcoffee #red #leaves

The Beauty and The Bookworm - Freyja and Johannes Faustuz as children. - Freyja always liked Faustuz ever since they met despite her being a rich pretty girl while he’s a poor orphan boy studying his hardest to become a doctor. As to why she likes him, Faustuz still wonders how he got a beautiful wife when he’s such a geek. Maybe it’s their shared love for books, maybe she had pity for him, or maybe she just has the hots for nerdy boys, lol. - He’s older than her by about half a year, but at age 10, Faustuz is much shorter than Freyja. Because of his small size, Freyja thinks she can make him grow up faster like a plant by giving him lots of love and food; of course, it just takes a little longer time for him to catch up compared to the other boys. In 3 years he’ll be as tall as her, 5 years he’ll start getting taller than her, and 8 years he’ll be so tall that she’ll miss being able to snatch him up into her arms so easily - it’ll be the opposite with him sweeping her off her feet when they get married. — #digitalart #digitaldrawing #ipadproart #ipadprodrawing #speeddrawing #originalcharacters #originalcharacterart #originalcharacterdrawing #children #boygirl #girlboy #boy #girl #couple #childhoodsweethearts #hug #hugging #bookworm #beautyandthebookworm

I originally planned to draw 4 more characters, but I’m so tired~😑💤 - Here are the missus: • Freyja Ström 🇸🇪 (Married to Hr. Dr. Kasper) • Asia Williams 🇺🇸 (Married to Dr. Williams) Both are ambitious beauties who married men that most people would be scratching their heads in confusion to figure out why. For Freyja, she thought how Asia and Tyrone met was really romantic; as for Asia, she’s still in disbelief that her favorite TV idol is married to someone she sees as a dork and lacks style. - Freyja was a new student from Sweden when she first met Johannes Faustuz, who was the classic class geek. She grew very interested in him when she saw him read books such as “Great Expectations” alongside science and comic books at the library, and felt pity for him once she found out he was a poor orphan raised by his aunt - so much that she often brought two lunches from home so she can feed him and he can “grow up nice and tall” (he was much shorter than her at the time). The two children grew up in love despite her father’s disapproval, which led her to being disowned for several years until Cedrick was born. So it’s Beauty and the Geek/Rich Girl meets Poor Boy for Freyja and Faustuz. - For Asia, she lost a bet against Tyrone regarding sports, which he had bet to take her out to dinner. She obviously didn’t find him attractive and still can’t stand his terrible jokes, but one day she found out that Tyrone takes care of the grandmother who had raised him while studying hard to become a pediatrician and working at the local gas station. This made her rethink how she should treat Tyrone, and from there the two got married and had their daughter Queenie. — #originalcharacters #originalcharacterart #originalcharacterdesign #femalecharacters #female #women #ladies #digitalart #digitalartwork #digitaldrawing #ipadproart #ipadprodrawing #autodesksketchbook #sketchbookautodesk #redhair #redhead #naturalhair #afro #frauv8_ocs

Pretty obvious what inspired me to draw this pic - I’m going to @disneyland! - Got the whole Kasper family this time, each one dressed up based off a character: Papa as #goofy, Cedrick as #donaldduck, and Mama as #minniemouse with a cute #mickeymouse #tsumtsum in hand. Of course like many kiddos at Cedrick’s age, it’s so not cool to match with your dorky parents; but he’s definitely very interested in eating that #churro Papa is holding (you can’t resist them there - they’re soooo~ yummy). — #originalcharacters #originalcharacterart #originalcharacterartwork #digitalart #digitalartwork #ipadproart #ipadproartwork #ipadprodrawing #autodesksketchbook #sketchbookautodesk #sketchbookapp #family #father #son #mother #disneyland #mickeymouseears #mickeymousehat #mouseears #disneyinspired

It’s practically #fall with stores all stocked up with sweaters - which doesn’t make any sense here in SoCal because it’s still like 💯 degrees outside! Plus side is that the pumpkin drinks are back (I’m currently in love with Jamba Juice’s pumpkin smash smoothie - it’s so good ~). - To celebrate, Mama Kasper gave her boys an update for the #fallfashion season: Cedrick’s hair is no longer asymmetrical - it’s an even #bowlcut for now; his clothing is also very #kpopfashion inspired, which he’s a big fan of. Johannes Faustuz still has his long hair in a messy #manbun and #aviators (and has his #heartshirt on again, lol), but with cooler weather on the way, why not grow out a #beard? — #originalcharacters #malecharacters #fatherson #blond #glasses #stripedshirt #heartstripeshirt #jwandersonheartstripeshirt #necktie #ipaddrawing #ipadproart #ipadproartwork #digitaldrawing #digitalart #digitalartwork #autodesksketchbook #sketchbookautodesk #sketchbookapp #frauv8_ocs

Hr. Dr. Kasper wearing the #heartshirt at work - Part 1. - The first one to greet him is Dr. Fatima Khan the cardiologist. And she can’t help but love all the cute little red hearts - it’s her job to take care of hearts, lol. - You’d think it’d be Cedrick the first to see his father, but Freyja will be dropping him off later in the day this time (Cedrick isn’t quite old enough to drive on his own yet at age 15). - Another fun little detail: Johannes Faustus is wearing Pumas; Cedrick wears Adidas. Yesterday’s and the day before’s #workdrawing that got finished at home as usual. - I don’t usually draw these two as children for my fantasy concept. In this storyline, Freyja and Faustuz weren’t as cuddly with each other at this stage in life. In fact, Freyja was very pushy and abusive to the point Faustuz fights back and even thinks about killing her to escape. But because she declared out loud that he belongs to her, thus “imprinted” on him according to mage tradition, he’s committed to take care of her as his mate for life. — #ink #inkart #inkdrawing #penart #penartwork #pilotpen #frixion #frixionpen #frixionpens #frixioncolors #oolypen #sketchbook #dottednotebook #leuchtturn1917 #leuchtturm1917 #lechtturm1917 #originalcharacters #children #couple #girlboy #boygirl #girl #boy
