October is Cedrick’s birth month. His second-cousin Evangeline thinks he’s a cursed child being born on Friday the 13th, while Tante Yoko thinks he could be a reincarnation of his grandfather Richard (who was born on the 10th of October). A quick pic of Tricia Williams wearing a shirt to remind everyone to VOTE. - I got my mail-in ballot yesterday, so my homework over the week is to read over everything in the booklet and voting packet to make sure I fill it out properly and have it sent ASAP to make it count. — #autodesksketchbook #femalecharacter originalcharacterart #originalcharacter #digitalart #digitaldrawing #vote #vote2020 #blacktshirt #bluejeans #black #brown #blue

Another pic found from the Scrap Pile that I finished up... I’m not going to sleep well with the neighboring apartment building’s fire alarm constantly blaring for hours (no firefighters around to turn it off because there’s the Bobcat Fire still blazing), and after watching the sh!tstorm of a debate that happened...🤦🏻‍♀️ — #autodesksketchbook #digitalart #digitaldrawing #malecharacter #femalecharacter #originalcharacterart #originalcharacters #couple #animestyle

Hr. Dr. Kasper’s mother Sigrid loved Rødgrød, especially when she was a child. Unfortunately, like most of his predecessors in the Kasper bloodline, he’s lactose intolerant (which is ironic considering the fact the region where they live is where the world’s favorite dairy cows comes from). This doesn’t stop his grandmother Aina from feeding him the sweet berry treat drizzled with lots of cream, constantly giving poor Johannes-Faustuz stomach aches until the day he discovers lactase pills. Despite bad childhood memories of eating it, Faustuz has created a dairy-alternative version for himself and his Cedrick to enjoy while being stuck in quarantine. — #autodesksketchbook #malecharacter #digitalart #digitaldrawing #ipaddrawing #rødgrød #redporridge #rotegrütze #rodegrütt #boy

1961: Heinrich “Ricky” and his little brother Richard “Dickie”. (Slide 4: The Kasper Brothers c. 1979) - 1961 was the year when their mother Ida left the family for a younger American soldier; since then, Olaf grew more cruel and strict with the boys, especially with Richard - the son he believed to be the reason why his wife ran away. Heinrich, as the older and favorite child, tries his best to keep his rambunctious brother out of trouble while lessening the pain of loosing their mother and father’s constant criticism. The brothers were close despite their 5 year age gap and opposing personalities, often seen together playing football/soccer and drinking beer as they grew older into adulthood. Heinrich has always been stoic, quiet, and serious while Richard was the more outgoing, hot-tempered, but very intelligent brother. Their relationship was often strained when Heinrich gave up his duty of the family heir for love when he married a foreign woman, forcing the carefree Richard to take up the rigid work his brother left behind; but with the birth of his nephew Hansel and niece Hannah, Richard’s anger cooled enough to continue being the supportive younger brother. Heinrich (like most of the other family) was initially not fond of Richard’s decision to marry Sigrid, even more so when it was revealed that she was only a teenager and had a life curse; but after meeting the girl, he was quite impressed with her sharp wit and her strong will to live despite having a shortened lifespan (he enjoyed playing chess with her, discussing current events, and admired her gardening skills). Like Richard, Heinrich was deeply affected by Sigrid’s death after giving birth to the next family heir; in the remaining months of Richard’s life, Heinrich made efforts to assist his brother in taking care of his work and son. Heinrich then makes the decision to pick up Johannes Faustuz from Africa and raise him alongside his own children, much to his wife Yoko’s disapproval of raising another child with their limited resources. — #digitalart #digitaldrawing #autodesksketchbook #ipaddrawing #originalcharacters #originalcharacterart #malecharacters #brothers #soccerball

Crazy what a difference a year can be... - After a long shift at work at the hospital, Tyrone and Johannes Faustuz would often hit the bar for a beer or two to relax. Since COVID-19 hit, the two can no longer hangout with Tyrone still working at the hospital and Faustuz indefinitely furloughed (now working at home as a substitute professor). But timed right, Tyrone and Faustuz find a moment to share a toast and chat online. - •Side Note: TBH, I kinda envy my OCs because I don’t have close friends; since leaving school and other factors (I’d rather not mention out loud), I’ve lost contact with past friends and pen pals over the years, only having immediate family, my husband, and coworkers to keep me company (in other words, I’ve been living the quarantine life even before it was a thing, lol). So drawing and interacting with others on IG are integral to keeping the mind off the loneliness and boredom during this tough time; if I can entertain and inspire others here, then my work is worth it. — #digitalart #digitaldrawing #autodesksketchbook #malecharacters #friends #originalcharacters #comic #animestyle #2019vs2020

Glimpse into the dark side of the Kaspers’ family business... I don’t usually draw them in the act of dealing with monsters and stuff related to Death. Richard just got rid of a Siren unfortunately in front of Sigrid. Even though she’s also involved with the world of the mythical and occult, she’s an “herbal healer” (euphemism for “Witch“) like her mother Aina who prefers not killing creatures no matter how rouge they’ve become (they use potions instead as repellent and cures); Richard is well aware how sensitive she is when she sees something dead (she cries over wilted flowers), trying his best to shield her from his work as much as possible. - As monster slayers and grim reapers, Kaspers try their best to not let their significant others have to witness their work if they’re not involved with the same type of business. Freyja is involved with occult weapons making, so she enjoys working with her husband Faustuz as much as possible to see how effective her family’s handiwork is against monsters and the occasional human. Yoko was indifferent when Heinrich resumed the job of reaping with his father Olaf after Richard died - until he brought Faustuz to assist them at only age five (Yoko was extremely pissed - Heinrich never had their son Hansel fight for his life against monsters, so why would he do that to his brother’s only child?). — #digitalart #digitaldrawing #ipaddrawing #lineart #halftone #autodesksketchbook #sketchbookautodesk #animestyle #couple #malecharacter #femalecharacter #originalcharacter #originalcharacters

Floral Shirt & Strawberry Dress. (idk what their son would wear if it’s the whole family, lol) Also a combination of hard and soft brushes (still prefer hard brushes because it’s the closest thing to drawing with an actual pen in sketchbooks). The color scheme also screams California (it’s literally these colors year-round, especially SoCal). - This was originally was supposed to be another Bio 101 highlight pic with Freyja making a surprise appearance as Hr. Meanwhile in modern times with the Williamses... Queenie doesn’t quite understand how the mute button works, or why Tricia has to put herself on mute when Hr. Dr. Kasper is a close family friend (she’ll figure out how to use it much to everyone’s dismay or enjoyment; who can resist a cute little kid trying to say hi to her favorite doctor from her dad’s workplace?). She was supposed to start Kindergarten this year, but Asia was adamant that she stays home until she feels it’s safe for her to go out (Tyrone feels Queenie is able to handle herself since she used to run around the hospital on her own, but he’s not arguing with his wife; he’s still working at the hospital treating sick children). So until whenever she can actually start school, Queenie enjoys being with her older cousin Tricia while she’s on Zoom for Biology 101. —— #digitaldrawing #digitalart #drawing #ipaddrawing #ipadart #autodesksketchbook #originalcharacters #originalcharacterart #femalecharacters #girls #teengirl #animestyle #athome #frauv8_ocs

Another point of view of “The Doghouse”. I couldn’t choose which version, so I just put all three in one post with the line art (4 slides total). - With Freyja using his personal study for her live videos and blogs, Hr. Dr. Kasper teaches Biology 101 using an old iPad Pro with Zoom in the indoor patio room where all the critters and houseplants reside (both agreed that their bedroom is a place that stays private). It’s almost a 💯% guarantee that at least one critter will make an appearance during class sessions, especially the family cat Klimt. Going back to Late Summer 1979 with Richard and Sigrid (Faustuz’s parents). It’s hard to say which “package” poor Sigrid is looking at. Maybe the Tiffany blue box? 😅 - Soft brushes again... 😑 I prefer using hard brushes when drawing and coloring because it feels more finished and pops out more compared to soft brushes. It’s actually easier to color and shade with soft brushes since they blend into each other, but there’s something about using hard brushes and halftone when I’m coloring and shading... Oh well - it’s more practice with the anti-characteristics of my artwork. (Segway: My “Artist Bend” challenge is still a thing - go visit the Highlight for more information) —— #digitalart #digitaldrawing #ipadproart #ipadprodrawing #sketchbookautodesk #autodesksketchbook #originalcharacters #originalcharacter #characterdesign #characters #malecharacter #femalecharacter #couple #fashion #red #white #blue #frauv8_ocs

Johannes Faustuz and Cedrick enjoying the cool breeze of their mini electric fan. Both father and son can’t stand the sun and heat, but Mama Kasper absolutely loves it (Freyja is most likely out in the backyard swimming). Faustuz is wearing a black mesh tank saying “Made in the 80s” because he literally was (making him a Millennial, not Gen X-er or Boomer as Tricia calls him); Cedrick is wearing a blue cotton crop-top which are quickly gaining popularity amongst teen boys it seems (the 90s are officially back with a vengeance). Both father and son have their hair up: Faustuz with a man bun and Cedrick with a mini bun/topknot. - It’s been unbearably HOT here in California (currently over 100F/38C🥵). Also on “Power Alert”, so a blackout can happen anytime (it’s happened once when I wasn’t home - all the clocks were messed up, lol). So stay safe: set those thermostats to 78, use fans, stay in the shade or indoors, drink LOTS of water, relax, and keep them masks on if you are outside despite being super hot (i.e. there was a heatwave in Israel early during the pandemic and cases spiked drastically because people stopped wearing masks due to heat; really shows how effective masks are in preventing infections). If you really can’t breathe while wearing one in the heat, isolate yourself before removing it to catch your breath, then put it back on and seek shelter indoors. —— #digitaldrawing #digitalart #drawing #ipaddrawing #ipadprodrawing #ipadart #ipadproart #autodesksketchbook #animation #originalcharacters #originalcharacterart #malecharacter #boy #man #blond #animestyle #yellow #blue #black #fan #manbun #frauv8_ocs

Soft pencil and marker brushes with pastel colors this time; not my forte, but it’s good practice. Also looks like Papa Kasper’s glasses are fogging up, but at least the Herr Doktor and his son are wearing their masks correctly over their mouths and noses. 🚨RANT ALERT 🚨 Don’t ask how many people at work I see that don’t cover their noses. NOSES ARE VIRAL SUPER-SPREADERS! COVER THEM UP! 😷 Seriously - we had all the scientific proof that masks, hand washing, social distancing, and lockdowns worked a century ago with the 1918 (NOT F-CKING 1917!) Pandemic, so we should of bagged COVID-19 in months (the 1918 Pandemic took 2 years to recover from, but keep in mind they didn’t have any of the medical tech we have so millions got sick and died; had we done all the things to reduce a pandemic early on, we probably wouldn’t have as many people sick and dead). But at the rate things are going with idiots running around in the world, it’s going to be YEARS before it’ll be “normal” again. (phew - that’s my ranting for a while 😤) It’s just frustrating seeing everything I’ve learned from Biology classes during the H1N1 and Ebola epidemics happening all over again but in a much bigger and worse scale - and there’s not much I can do about it but do my part wearing my masks, washing my hands, staying home whenever I don’t have work, and sharing the words of Dr. Fauci. ——— #digitalart #digitaldrawing #autodesksketchbook #drawing #ipadproart #ipadprodrawing #ipaddrawing #ipadart #animestyle #originalcharacters #originalcharacterart #pink #blue #yellow #pastelcolors #pastelcolours #malecharacter #man #teenboy #fatherandson #fashion #glasses #facemask #bowlcut #manbun #frauv8_ocs

Which shade Freyja wore best?💄 And she’s using her husband’s aviators as a fashion accessory again, lol. Hopefully poor Johannes Faustuz isn’t bumping into too many things without them. - I was inspired by an ad for @jeffreestar’s lip colors of all things to make this, lol. I wish I can wear makeup more often, but with sensitive skin and having to wear masks for more than 8 hours each day I work, it’s not very practical (also, I still get acne like a teen and I’m double the age of a teenager; people still can’t believe how old I am because I look at least 10 years younger partly because of my acne). ———— #digitaldrawing #digitalart #drawing #ipaddrawing #ipadprodrawing #ipadart #ipadproart #autodesksketchbook #pixaloop #originalcharacter #originalcharacterart #femalecharacter #woman #redhair #redhead #fashion #lipcolor #aviators #animestyle #animation #halftone #frauv8_ocs
