Exactly how I feel Faustuz. I feel your pain. But you got a #hellokittyplush! (His birthday is 23 December) - When your birthday is smack right in the peak of the #holidayseason, it’s really hard to feel excited about it. Practically everyone is so focused on everything else but you. You can’t compete against Jesus and consumerism. You hear nonstop carols reminding you that you’re getting older. Therefore, you can turn into a bit of a grumpy old grinch. - Growing up I hardly had any birthday parties because all my classmates have their own family gatherings to attend. Even to this day, people get really cheap just giving me one gift for both my birthday and Christmas - and often it’s holiday themed which can get a bit annoying since it’s not practical for any other time of the year. So no, you don’t get double the presents like they all say - it’s all an illusion. — #digitalart #digitaldrawing #ipadproart #ipadprodrawing #originalcharacters #originalcharactersdrawing #originalcharacterart #red #green #redgreen #greenred #blondhairblueeyes #fatherson #father #son #holiday #holidaybirthday #holidaygifts #santahat #cake #hellokitty #christmas

Page 4. - To be called by his first name only means Vincent-Claude is very concerned about the fruit flies. - The Herr Doktor rarely is called just by his first name - he prefers Johannes Faustuz, Faustuz, Dr. Kasper, or Herr Doktor. He absolutely hates being called Hans (Hans is his cousin Hansel’s/Hanzo’s nickname), and often gets mistakenly called Jonah. (It’s exactly like how I don’t like it when people call me Ann or Annie - it’s Anna) — #digitalart #digitaldrawing #autodesksketchbook #comic #comicpage #originalcharacters #malecharacters #ipadproart #ipadprodrawing

Page 3. - Some facts about these two long-haired guys: •Aside from his native German, Johannes Faustuz can speak English, a lot of French, and some Japanese that he learned from watching his aunt Yoko and his cousins speaking with each other; he can also understand some Danish due to many of his ancestors being originally from Denmark, and that his hometown of Kiel borders Denmark. •Vincent-Claude only speaks French and English; he can recognize some German and Spanish, and is clueless when it comes to Arabic when his grandparents speak it (he’s a quarter Syrian). — #digitalart #digitaldrawing #autodesksketchbook #comic #comicpage #originalcharacters #malecharacters #ipadproart #ipadprodrawing

Page 2. Whew~ I had to squeeze my brain and use Google a bit to get the French right. I’m ashamed to say that my two-and-a-half years of studying French has been reduced to baby talk, and half-year of German is now just mere random specks of Scheiße. Seriously - you don’t use it, you really loose it. 😓 I can read both languages better than I can speak them, and I can recognize them instantly when I hear/see them, but still, it’s really hard to understand and put things in the right grammar when you haven’t touched it much in years. So please feel free to point things out and correct me if I say something wrong. 🙇🏻‍♀️ Otherwise, I have another idea in mind to show that the character is speaking their respective language if I can’t translate it right. - Anyway, we finally get to meet the fruit flies Faustuz is extremely protective of. — #digitalart #digitaldrawing #autodesksketchbook #comic #comicpage #originalcharacters #malecharacters #ipadproart #ipadprodrawing

Ack - What am I doing to myself?! It’s another #comic in the making! WHY~😓😫😭😪😑 - This time we have Johannes Faustuz and Vincent-Claude. These two are in a way close, almost like brothers with Leyon being a mentor to the Herr Doktor and the father of Vincent-Claude. But despite being close in age, they couldn’t be any more different from each other aside from their nationalities: Faustuz is serious and trustworthy while Vinnie is quite carefree and can cause trouble unintentionally. — #digitalart #digitaldrawing #autodesksketchbook #comicpage #originalcharacters #malecharacters #ipadproart #ipadprodrawing

Like Tricia, 55F/13C is #freezing for most people here in SoCal. Even 65F/18C is considered #cold for some people I know at work (which I think is crazy because I think it’s perfect 😎). Me? Hmm... I’d start complaining when it gets below 40F/4C, which happens to be about the same temperature inside the production truck I work in during the winter. I don’t mind the cold during the day; it’s just when the sun goes down or when I’m stuck inside for work is when I start getting uncomfortable, especially if I’m not wearing the right clothes. And I know there’s colder than 40F/4C - it’s snowed here once four years ago, and even that is obviously not the coldest it can get. There’s always someplace else that’s much colder. For Cedrick, his hometown Kiel borders Scandinavia where it’s definitely freezing. — #digitalart #digitaldrawing #comicpage #autodesksketchbook #originalcharacters #malecharacter #femalecharacter #teenagers #fauxfurcoat #tanktop #ipadproart #ipaddrawing

Oh how I miss #drawing on my iPad Pro, and boy do I miss drawing #modernfashion after drawing all those fantasy versions of my #characters. - For these two, Cedrick wears only #adidas while his father Johannes Faustuz mostly wears #puma. @adidas and @puma were founded by the rivaling Dassler brothers Adolf and Rudolf (think of the brothers like those in Twix candy bar ads - seriously). It’s fitting for the two Kaspers since they compete with each other as if they’re brothers. - My fiancé makes fun of me liking #sportswear, but sorry (not sorry), I like wearing it because it’s comfy and I actually do get random people commenting on how good it looks on me (my green Germany jersey and my floral jersey dress gets the most attention). As for which brand I like more, that’s for you to guess - comment below for a guess and I’ll reveal my answer with a drawing of Freyja wearing the brand I like most. - “ •Fantasy Concept: Faustuz and his mask •The doctor’s mask allows Faustuz to see what and where a person’s ailments are so he can properly treat them. Most fear the sight of it since it is believed to be an object made by Death himself. •The mask is inspired by medieval doctors’ attire during the Black Plague and early 20th century gas masks used during World War I. “ - I also took a closeup shot to show the marker brushstrokes and texture of the white #kuretakebrushpen and #whitegelpen I used. — #originalcharacter #malecharacter #mage #magehat #hat #glasses #plaguedoctormask #marker #pen #pencil #drawing #handdrawn #dottednotebook #lemome_notebook #lemome_notebooks #ohuhu #mastermarkers #whitegellyrollpen

And it survived without ink blots - WHEW! 🙌🏻 - “ •Fantasy Concept: Faustuz Kasper with his infamous “Death Glare” •Necromancer mages in the Kasper Clan are known to be guides for the departed and negotiators for Death. They can perform purification rituals to send souls to rest in what is called the “Next Realm”; rare cases they can resurrect the dead only if the person has died within a day from natural causes. They can summon Death himself, but at the cost of something precious from the commissioner. Like any mage, the necromancer can also heal and treat wounds and illnesses. They have the ability to sense certain life forces, and like their Elven ancestors, can see into the past and future with a touch of a thumb. “ — #pencilsketch #pencildrawing #bluepencil #bluepencilsketch #bluepencildrawing #handwrittennotes #dottednotebook #sketchbook #lemome_notebooks #lemomenotebook #mildliners #tombowdualbrushpens #whitegelpen #sakuraglazepen #originalcharacter #malecharacter #glasses #hand #longhair #glare

- •Fantasy Concept: Princess Freyja and her son Cedrick Kasper as a young boy. •All her life being the only daughter and child of a low-status warrior king, Freyja has been teased by her peers that she would never marry and bear an heir for her father. That all changed when she ran away and married her slave Faustuz, eventually having a son with him. This makes Cedrick sole heir to all of the warrior tribes when the other princes and princesses failed to have sons - that is if King Erik manages to take him away from his parents. Cedrick is also the only necromancer mage aside from his father, also making him the future chief of the Kasper Clan. On top of that, Cedrick is a prodigy in regards to medicine and elemental spells, which leads him into becoming a medic for the royal military. Freyja and Cedrick do not have a very close relationship due to her being gone hunting while he studies with his father. Finally able to post this pic up - Freyja in complete warrior attire and with her weapon of choice in hand (she’s a leftie). - “ •Fantasy Concept: Princess Freyja Ström •A female warrior, common amongst the Human race but rare amongst the mystical Druid race of the Northern Isles. Her father abducted her mother from the rare Golan Tribe. Freyja’s mother died giving birth, and being the only child and daughter gives her father a low status among the other warrior tribes. This makes it hard for her father to find a prince willing to marry her and produce an heir. King Erik manages to find a prince from the Madeira Tribe to marry Freyja, but to his dismay, the prince is smitten by her slave Faustuz. Freyja was also upset that the prince she liked, Wagner Blitzburg, was betrothed to another princess. She ends up running away with Faustuz, eventually marrying him. Her father at some time finds her with a son, determined to take him as his heir. ” — #sketchbook #dottednotebook #lemome_notebooks #lemomenotebook #ink #blackink #bluepencil #penteltradio #kuretake #kuretakebrushpen #kuretakecambio #sharpie #mildliner #sakuragellyroll #originalcharacter #femalecharacter #femalewarrior #battleax #antlercrown

- “ •Fantasy Concept: Cedrick and Faustuz Kasper •Cedrick’s uniform is inspired from imperial and fascist attire. The white color is a reflection of his medical profession of doctor, and that his hometown is a seaport - many Naval uniforms are white for dress attire. Skulls and bones also tie to his medical profession and the Kasper Clan’s symbol is the skull due to their connection with Death. • Faustuz wears an alternative version of his mage’s attire. His clothing in general is inspired by medieval plague doctors. He normally wears a white coat like a modern doctor and bird-like plague doctor’s mask attached to his hat; the plain black #hat reflects old-traditional doctors in Europe while the black cloak is Death/Grim Reaper. “ — #dottednotebook #sketchbook #lemomenotebook #lemome_notebooks #lemomesketchbook #ink #blackink #inkart #inkartwork #pinkpencil #penteltradio #kuretake #kuretakecambio #tombowdualbrush #whitegelpen #gellyroll #originalcharacters #malecharacters #fatherson

- “ •Fantasy Concept: Johannes Faustuz Kasper (Age: 13) •Descended from a long line of rare Dark/Blood Elves and human hybrids, Faustuz became the last of his kind when King Erik Ström burned and destroyed his village with Wood Elves. He was initially captured to be an experiment for the King’s advisor Marion, an albino witch from the Southern Continent. But he caught the attention of King Erik’s daughter, becoming her slave boy. He endures all kinds of abuse and torture in Freyja’s delight, leading him to occasionally think of murdering her in her sleep. But because the princess claimed him as her own, mage tradition dictates that such a girl would become his wife and partner for life. It takes years before he and Freyja realize how much they mean to each other, leading to a night of accidental passion and eventual marriage. “ — #lemome_notebooks #lemomenotebook #lemomesketchbook #sketchbook #dottednotebook #blue #pencil #black #ink #pens #platinum #preppy #pilotkakuno #handwrittennotes #boy #child #alone #sitting #rocks #drawing #pendrawing #inkdrawing #bluepencil

#pendrawing in my current #lemomesketchbook / #lemomenotebook . Seems like the whole thing will be dedicated to the Fantasy Concept. - Which leads to this question: Which version of Freyja do you like better - Fantasy or Modern? - “ •Fantasy Concept: Princess Freyja • Only child of King Erik Ström, Freyja grew up spoiled and arrogant. She took Faustuz Kasper as her slave as a gift from her father. Freyja decided to run away with Faustuz when her father arranged a marriage to a prince, leading to a big change in her life. “ — #originalcharacter #femalecharacter #warriorprincess #antlercrown #redhair #penart #inkart #inkartwork #inkdrawing #dottednotebook #dottedpaper

The #greenpencilsketch is very hard to seen under the lighting, but the final #drawing does look nice. This time it’s mostly all shades of #green and still under the Fantasy Concept. - “ •Fantasy Concept: Cedrick Kasper (Age: 16) •Son of Princess Freyja and Faustuz Kasper, Cedrick is a prodigy of the dark arts and elemental magic. He closely watched his father when it comes to medicine, and joins him on foraging food in the swamp and forest. A rare treat would involve hunting zombies and catching bats and rats, leading to dinner fights between Father and Son. Finished! This is the first pic in my new #lemomesketchbook I ordered from Amazon not too long ago. I listed out all the media I used to make it on the opposite page so that it’ll lay flat as much as possible. And everything is so #blue, lol. - “ •Fantasy Concept: Papa Kasper (Faustuz) and Baby Cedrick. •The last known two necromancer mages; Faustuz is the patriarch of the Kasper Clan who is a master of magic and medicine, while Cedrick is closely following after his father’s steps. Cedrick is also a prodigy in casting elemental spells and the dark arts such as summoning monsters. Both have fierce appetites, often fighting each other for the best scraps of food whenever they forage at the swamp or forest. Father and Son are very close and would do anything to make sure the other is safe and sound after battle. ” — #ink #inkart #inkartwork #inkdrawing #blueink #bluepencil #blueartwork #bluecolor #sketchbook #dottednotebook #lemome_notebooks #originalcharacters #fatherson #baby #mage #hat #plaguedoctormask #goggles #batwing

First #sketch in this new #lemomesketchbook I bought from Amazon. The paper is #dotted and almost as thick as card stock, which makes it ideal for ink work. I’d like it more if it had a table of contents like a Leuchtturm 1917 in the beginning so I can label and date pics as I make them, but I guess I’ll have to work something out. - It’s the Fantasy Concept this time with a very tired Papa Kasper and a very awake Baby Cedrick. I’m still figuring out how I’m going to ink this - I’m just mesmerized by how pretty the blue sketch turned out, lol.🔹🔷 — #bluepencil #bluepencilsketch #roughdrawing #roughsketch #pencilsketch #sketchbook #dottednotebook #lemome_notebooks #originalcharacters #fatherson #mage #baby #blue #hat #plaguedoctormask #goggles #batwing

#inktober #flower Bonus Pic: - #buttercup - Despite their various heights and sizes, all Buttercups are bright butter-yellow flowers with green centers. They’re paired with Daisies, and symbolize humility, charm, friendship, and childishness. The name is also used as a term of endearment, just like the flower Sweet Pea. - I decided to make another quick drawing before #inktober2018 ends. This time we have the cute little mischievous Queenie Williams, Tyrone and Asia’s daughter/Tricia’s little cousin. At her age, many children are familiar with the Buttercup and other wildflowers that are easy to pick and make into flower chains. — #moleskinecahier #moleskine #ink #blackink #inkart #inkdrawing #blackandwhite #black #originalcharacter #femalecharacter #child #girl #flowers #holdingflowers #pens #whitegellyrollpen #pentel #penteltradio #kuretake #kuretakebrushpen #kuretakecambio #pencil

#inktober #flower pic no.31 - #poinsettia - The birth flower of December, these flowers are also known as “Christmas Star,” “Mexican Flame Leaf,” and “Winter Rose.” It gets it name after the first American ambassador to Mexico who was also a botanist. The Poinsettia became associated with Christmas with a legend of a boy gathering weeds as a humble offering which turned into this colorful flower on Christmas Eve. This flower comes in white, pink, and red, and symbolizes celebration, good cheer, and success. - The second flower featured in this pic is #edelweiss. Edelweiß is a national symbol of Austria, Germany, and Switzerland where this rare beauty can be found. Its name means “noble” and “white,” and symbolizes purity, courage, adventure, devotion, and sacrifice. - I had to make Poinsettia and Edelweiss the last pic for my Inktober prompt because Christmas is coming soon, and these two flowers make me think of winter - though Edelweiss blooms late in summer 🤔 (it’s a fuzzy flower to keep itself warm, so that’s why it makes me think of winter). And we have Hr. Dr. Kasper all dressed up as if he’s attending an award ceremony or a special birthday/holiday dinner with his wife Freyja (his birthday is 23 December). — #inktober2018 #originalcharacter #malecharacter #blondhairblueeyes #glasses #flowers #sketchbook #moleskine #moleskinecahier #pens #kuretake #kuretakebrushpen #kuretakecambio #fountainpen #platinumpen #platinumpreppy #ohtodude #pentel #penteltradio #tradiopen #tradio #autodesksketchbook
