The Kasper Family at an earlier time when Cedrick was a lot shorter and Johannes Faustuz had short hair; Freyja hasn’t changed much since except how she styles her hair. This would probably be when Cedrick was about 10 years old. (Faustuz was born in 23 December 1981; Freyja was born 30 June 1982; I still haven’t decided whether Cedrick will be born in 2006 or 2017 since those are the two most recent times October Friday the 13th had occurred) - The colors I picked for this pic screams Fall, but the weather here in SoCal screams Summer - it’s been super hot the last several days.🥵🌡 Cedrick’s sweater has each of his parents’ family symbols: the Kaspers’ black skull and the Ströms’ spiral. Freyja’s outfit was based off a sold-out piece of clothing according to a fashion article (see 4th slide), while Faustuz just wears a basic collared shirt and slacks with typical aviator-framed glasses (reference last slide); both Freyja and Faustuz are wearing wedding rings this time. — #digitalart #digitaldrawing #autodesksketchbook #drawing #ipadproart #ipadprodrawing #ipaddrawing #ipadart #animestyle #halftone #originalcharacters #originalcharacterart #malecharacters #femalecharacter #family #frauv8 #frauv8_ocs

Kappas love cucumbers, but as a little boy, Johannes Faustuz was only able to get jars of pickles to feed the one living in his uncle’s garden. Pickles are still cucumbers, just... well, pickled; the Kappa is more than happy to eat them regardless whether they are fresh or preserved. - It’s also another shot in making a #drawthisinyourstylechallenge. My challenges don’t get any attention, so I don’t expect much tbh...🤷🏻‍♀️ I included the #lineart if anyone wants to do a #colorthisinyourstyle instead (use #ctiys_frauv8 if you do color). No deadlines, and (if any) entries will be featured on a highlight on my profile. Just have fun.🥒 — #digitalart #digitaldrawing #autodesksketchbook #drawing #ipadproart #ipadprodrawing #ipaddrawing #ipadart #halftone #animestyle #originalcharacte #originalcharacterart #malecharacter #yokai #kappa #boy #pond #dtiys #drawthisinyourstyle

Hannah (also spelled Hana) is one of the Herr Doktor’s two older cousins; she and her older brother Hansel call him “Fausto” since they don’t like that they’re all named similarly (all three were often nicknamed “Hans”, causing lots of confusion amongst schoolmates). Johannes Faustuz grew up frightened of Hannah for many reasons, from her being the mean older sister figure to feeling her wrath accidentally walking in on her and boyfriend as a little boy. Over the years the two have gotten along better, but Hannah still often pushes her younger cousin around despite his towering height. Hannah also keeps in touch on behalf of his aunt Yoko who feel less close and obliged to maintain a relationship with him since he’s not her biological child. But as the heir of the Kasper’s legacy, Aunt Yoko needs his help in dealing with Yōkai in their home in Kiel. — #digitaldrawing #digitalart #drawing #ipaddrawing #ipadprodrawing #ipadart #ipadproart #autodesksketchbook #originalcharacter #originalcharacterart #malecharacter #man #blackandwhite #manga #comic #mangastyle #halftone

Which background color you like best on Cedrick and his father Johannes Faustuz? ❤️💙💛 Comment below!🤗 - I ended up with red, though I really like blue just as much since it really contrasts with the Kaspers’ blond hair; red just draws you in like a hummingbird. Yellow is nice being monochromatic, but it’s a bit too plain and their eyes stand out too much - I’d have to desaturate them into more of a grey-green color. — #digitaldrawing #digitalart #ipadart #ipaddrawing #autodesksketchbook #originalcharacters #originalcharacterart #malecharacters #fatherson #blond #glasses #animestyle #mangastyle #red #blue #yellow #black #white #halftone

The pink fairy next to the Herr Doktor’s shattered glasses. - She’s one little vengeful sprite towards the Kaspers after being attacked by the family cat; her wings have cutout scars as a result from the surgery to preserve her ability to fly. Also as a fairy, she enjoys causing trouble and watching the chaos in action. But if she’s not careful, she’ll get caught up with the commotion. — #digitalart #digitaldrawing #ipaddrawing #ipadart #ipadproart #ipadrodrawing #animestyle #lineart #glasses #fairy #mythologicalcreature #orange #pink #cyan

The fairy returns!🧚‍♀️ (reminder on the second slide) The fairy was almost killed by Klimt the Weegie, so she still has a grudge towards the Kaspers despite being revived and stitched together by Cedrick. - So does Freyja have any turnips in her garden? No, she doesn’t. The fairy has plotted her revenge. — #digitaldrawing #digitalart #drawing #ipaddrawing #ipadprodrawing #ipadart #ipadproart #autodesksketchbook #originalcharacter #originalcharacterart #malecharacter #man #wolpertinger #manga #comic #mangastyle #animestyle #mythologicalcreatures

It’s another #drawthisinyourstyle challenge - this one by @luxyscarlet. #drawthisluxy Totally loved the color scheme and anime look, so I really wanted to do it. J’espere que tu aime? (I know I’m missing accents and it’s probably written wrong - it’s been over a decade since I’ve spoke any good French. Je desole!😭) - Anyway, let me know which #dtiys challenge I should try next in a comment below. — #digitaldrawing #digitalart #ipadart #ipaddrawing #ipadproart #ipadprodrawing #autodesksketchbook #mangastyle #animestyle #femalecharacter #characterart #girl #cherry #cerise #white #red #cyan

It’s another #drawthisinyourstyle pic - this challenge is by @kurboi. #kurboi50k I try to stay away from super popular ones for less popular ones to support lesser known artists, but the color scheme... couldn’t resist it. Shot through the heart! And you’re to blame! (Seriously - I must stop it with the song lyrics🤦🏻‍♀️) - The mermaid is shot through her heart, turning into sea foam and bubbles. And “backup” is a very grumpy Grandpa Erik and Freyja Ström. Papa Ström isn’t happy to see that his son-in-law was defeated by a mermaid. - You can kind of think Erik Ström like a Tony Stark, running a shipping business to disguise his expertise in occult weaponry - something the Kaspers will need capture and kill the mermaid. - Freyja looks like a dainty lady, but she can pack a punch - especially if her family is in trouble. She and the Herr Doktor are childhood sweethearts, making them a couple nobody should mess with - that’s if anyone knows that they are a couple. — #digitalart #digitaldrawing #ipaddrawing #ipadart #ipadproart #ipadrodrawing #lineart #halftone #animestyle #mangastyle #comic #originalcharacters #malecharacter #femalecharacter #father #daughter #fatheranddaughter #man #woman #mermay2019 #mermay

Glasses off means the Herr Doktor is serious. And there’s a reason why the mermaid is very angry with Tricia, unable to bite her. - The Kaspers come from a long line of doctors who were also secretly taught about the occult, cryptozoology, and other mythical/mysterious creatures and occurrences (why Johannes Faustuz has a preserved creatures like the mermaid and talking fruit flies; it’s also why he and Cedrick can survive Freyja’s “Kracken Surprise” for dinner). So no, this isn’t their first time dealing with a revived mermaid. - Just out of curiosity, which ones do you like better: colored or black and white? Going back to the early 1990s when Freyja and Johannes Faustuz were kids. They were childhood sweethearts with Freyja as the prettiest girl in the class while Faustuz was the nerdy geek and teacher’s pet. - As an avid bookworm herself, Freyja would always sneak up behind Faustuz to see what new book he was reading; she would often look over his head and/or shoulder to read some of his books since she was so much taller. After a few years, Faustuz would grow up so tall that Freyja would slip in between his arms not only for an embrace but also to read along with him. Because of their love of literature, they named their son Cedrick after the main character of “Little Lord Fauntleroy” (different spelling to emphasize the name’s meaning). — #digitalart #digitaldrawing #autodesksketchbook #drawing #ipadproart #ipadprodrawing #ipadart #characters #originalcharacters #animestyle #mangastyle #femalecharacter #malecharacter #characterart #blond #redhair #redhead #boy #girl #children #kids #readingbook #glasses #halftone #blue #orange #pink #white
