More ugly sweaters!
This time it’s Mama Kasper and her father.
-
Papa Ström wears a Santa suit sweater obviously because he’s got a beard and white hair. Freyja even joked her father is a “bad-ass Santa Claus” (her husband and son would disagree). Papa Ström isn’t known for kindness, but is often generous in showering his family with gifts - especially for his daughter and grandson.
-
Freyja wears a green sweater like her husband with a big yellow bow and tag that says “DO NOT OPEN UNTIL X-MAS”. No commentary is required to explain why she’s wearing her sweater.😗
-
More ugly sweaters are in mind for Tyrone, Vincent-Claude (he’s going to have a Hanukkah sweater), and Kimiko.

It’s officially ugly sweater season, and only a month away from Christmas. Both Kasper boys are wearing their sweaters from Mama this year.
-
Cedrick is wearing a bright red sweater with Krampus on it. In recent years, Krampus had appeared in pop culture (had anyone else seen the movie?), and the Kaspers are no strangers to mythical creatures. Also the word “NAUGHTY” is something a teenager would wear. And Krampus just seems like a fun take on the Santa lore (I recently found out Krampus is only one of many Santa’s helpers; he’s got Knecht Ruprecht, Zwarte Pete, etc.).
-
As for Papa Kasper, he’s got a green sweater with Jesus Christ. Christmas is really a combination of an ancient Roman celebration for the sun god and Germanic festivities, but leave it to the Catholics to make it all about Jesus - which led to the overly commercialized holiday that it is today. And big hint: “BIRTHDAY BOY” isn’t just for Jesus (yes, I made my OC born during the holidays just like me).

Keeping up with the creepy Halloween vibes.

Hr. Dr. Johannes Faustuz Kasper is more than happy to give you an assessment on how much time you have left to live.
He’s very accurate, earning him the nickname “The White Reaper” at work (in the Fantasy Concept, he’s actually a Grim Reaper - or at least the son of Death which makes him a Grim Reaper).
-
It’s a style I enjoy drawing - black and white with a hint of color and halftone.
And there’s little details in the pic that hint on what this character is all about:
•The skull showing the family symbol as well as association with death (Faustuz is an Oncologist, thus diagnoses what kinds of cancer people have); the skull also can hint to his no-nonsense, hardheadedness behavior.
•An image of plant leaves showing a nurturing side (he’s a husband and father), and an appreciation of nature in general.
•His certificate isn’t accurate in design, but shows where he studied based of the logo and location written on top (both Faustuz and his son Cedrick studied at the same university at Kiel).
-
This pic is a bit reminiscent of an older one drawn way back in May 2018 (last slide). Definitely an improvement in quality despite using the same app to make both.

Something creepy as Halloween nears.
-
Still plan on making a more detailed digital version since this is a quick ink pic done in my mini sketchbook; the detailed version would also have him wearing a shirt with a rib cage to complete the skeletal-look - and Frl. Flicka’s true form!
Or another idea is have Cedrick in his fantasy version revealing his reaper-form which would be his actual skeleton showing through.

Looks like Papa Kasper is going to be a Viking for Halloween this year, lol.
-
The correct answer to my pop quiz was “Norwegian Forest Cat”.
The Kaspers’ cat is a Weegie (also spelled Wegie, which is the nickname for this breed of cat), and boy is he trouble always catching and often killing small creatures only to bring them to his masters as offerings of love.
Klimt also likes climbing up trees, but often gets stuck high up - thus Cedrick or Johannes Faustuz has to rescue him by climbing up and risking limbs.
-
Weegies are the most popular cat breed of Scandinavia for obvious reasons: they’re from Norway, they are tied to Norse mythology as the drivers of the goddess Freyja’s chariot, and were companions of Vikings.
Being descendants of Viking royalty and warriors, the Ström family always owned this breed of cat throughout the ages due to their loyalty and affection.

Cedrick walking Frl. Flicka again, who has now become a living flamethrower.
On Halloween, her true Hellhound form will be revealed; afterwards she’ll be back to being a normal dog until next Halloween.
-
Originally Cedrick was supposed to have his hair slicked back like his grandfather Erik Ström, but after adding on a beanie, he looks way better and proportionate with his bowlcut down (2nd slide has original idea).
I must say that I really like his Autumn outfit here - it’s cute and looks comfy!

Cedrick’s notes on the “Höllenhund” or “Hellhound”.
-
Frl. Flicka looks like a typical ordinary Doberman, but based on certain behaviors observed over time, she’s actually a Hellhound - or a least part Hellhound. With Halloween nearing, her hellish traits are being expressed more and more.
Other traits include brimstone breath, breathing out fire, and offering mauled vermin.
—
#digitalart #digitaldrawing #ipaddrawing #ipadart #ipadproart #ipadrodrawing #animestyle #mangastyle #comic #notes #dog #hellhound
Whenever Cedrick takes his mother’s dog for a walk, he always gets tangled up in some kind of trouble - this time literally with Frl. Flicka’s leash.
-
Freyja adopted Frl. Flicka, being told that she was a former war dog who had trouble finding a forever-home due to her PTSD. She’s a sweet dog, thinking she’s a lapdog despite her size and loves giving kisses to her fellow pets/creatures. But she does get triggered when hearing loud noises, making her aggressive until she is presented some kind a treat to calm her down. She’s affectionate to Freyja, very obedient to Johannes Faustuz, and extremely rough with Cedrick.
Frl. Flicka has a bad habit of howling during the New Moon; with Halloween getting closer, she’s doing more unusual things like bringing in mauled rats, breath smelling like brimstone, and her eyes glowing red - all hints that she’s most likely a “Höllenhund”, or Hellhound, in the form of a Doberman.

Happy Valentine’s Day! 💕
-
Hope you enjoy your valentines and spending time with your significant others this year. If you can’t spend time with your significant others, don’t forget to send them a message if you can. Just be careful to not give them nosebleeds and crack their screens or glasses doing so, lol.
-
This is a more detailed remake of the last panel of my previous post - poor Hr. Dr. Kasper got a surprise text from his wife while working. 😅
I wanted to make it look like a manga panel with the #halftone texture, but with a hint of color as well.

I plan to redraw the last panel by itself for a Valentine’s Day pic. I don’t think I’d draw what his wife sent him - let’s leave that to imagination, lol.

The #jwandersonheartstripeshirt returns! ❤️
Felt like drawing a cute pic of my OCs Hr. Dr. Johannes Faustuz Kasper and his wife Freyja Ström since #valentinesday2019 is coming around the corner. They’re just so fun to draw together. 🤓😘
-
It’ll be my first one since I’ve gotten married, and it’s going to be my dad’s 60th birthday too. -
It’s been pouring down buckets lately in SoCal the past few days that I really don’t want to leave my apartment for my weekend. 😕🌧☔️
But it also means I’m going to be drawing a lot more as Mother Nature decides to clear the weather up, so who knows what I’ll post up next. Maybe I should try making a #drawthisinyourstyle pic (but the last time I tried making one it was ignored...)

Can’t forget #furryfamilymembers members for the #holidays.

Fräulein Flicka (#doberman), Klimt (#norwegianforestcat), and Freud (#dachshund) are the Kasper’s pets (which I should try drawing more often). And all three want the #candycane and not so much the #ornament, lol.

Tyrone, Leyon, and Johannes Faustuz taking a break with drinks of... #eggnog? #hotapplecider? #wassail? Okay, maybe not wassail because that’s drinking in the job, lol. Whatever it is, a #festivedrink even though they’re working during the holidays.
(I work every holiday except Christmas; that means for this upcoming work week it’s the 26th thru January 1st 😫)
-
Aside from being doctors, these three are fathers. Being the youngest, Tyrone often asks for advice about raising his little toddler daughter Queenie and his teenage niece Tricia. Only caveat is that both Leyon and Faustuz have sons.

Cedrick as a baby gnawing on a #candycane with his grandfather Erik Ström for a #christmas pic.
-
Freyja always jokingly says her father looks like a “bad-ass Santa Clause,” but Cedrick and Johannes Faustuz think otherwise. Cedrick actually has a fear of Santa Clause because he’s actually just scared of his grandfather. Faustuz doesn’t like anything Christmas in general because his birthday falls during the holiday season, and he and Erik never did quite see each other eye to eye with a lot of things (literally with Faustuz being much taller than his father-in-law as an adult; when he was a little boy when he first met Freyja, Erik was like a giant to him).

Exactly how I feel Faustuz.
I feel your pain.
But you got a #hellokittyplush!
(His birthday is 23 December)
-
When your birthday is smack right in the peak of the #holidayseason, it’s really hard to feel excited about it. Practically everyone is so focused on everything else but you. You can’t compete against Jesus and consumerism. You hear nonstop carols reminding you that you’re getting older. Therefore, you can turn into a bit of a grumpy old grinch.
-
Growing up I hardly had any birthday parties because all my classmates have their own family gatherings to attend. Even to this day, people get really cheap just giving me one gift for both my birthday and Christmas - and often it’s holiday themed which can get a bit annoying since it’s not practical for any other time of the year. So no, you don’t get double the presents like they all say - it’s all an illusion.
