”Sommer” happens to be “Summer” in both Danish and German, Sigrid’s and Richard’s native languages; the word “Swimsuit” are a little bit different – “Badedragt” in Sigrid’s Danish and ”Badeanzug” in Richard’s German.
During the warm months on weekends, Sigrid and Richard would go away from Copenhagen to enjoy the beach; in July, Richard took Sigrid on sailboat rides during the festival at his hometown in Kiel.(Death is associated with boats in regards to Greek mythology with the ferryman Charon carrying souls across the Styx River)
