Because Sigrid was born a Wicca like her mother Aina (a lower class “Witch” than an Enchantress), Samuel was ashamed of having such a daughter that he cursed her to not live into adulthood; what he failed to noticed was her magical potential which could be unleashed using potions – and Sigrid turned out to be the most powerful student her class. Regardless of the power she inherited from him, Samuel rarely mentions Sigrid and tries to act as if he knows nothing about her. But after seeing the youngest son of Europe’s most notorious Grim Reaper consistently visiting Copenhagen every week for the last few months, Samuel has been anticipating his daughter’s death; the only puzzling thing is that Sigrid is still alive and well while it appears the Kasper assigned to her has been acting more of a protector and suitor rather than the killer he’s supposed to be.
