Tatzelwurms have venom in their saliva (being part snake), and it’ll kill anyone who hasn’t built up a gradual tolerance to it. Richard is relieved Sigrid only got bit once (she’s never fought a Tatzelwurm before), but he would of been inconsolable had she gotten another bite and died before he could treat her with an antidote. Sigrid is excited that their prototype repellent works, but promises to wait next time for another test with Richard around to kill any Tatzelwurm that gets too close. (This happens right before Richard had his trip to Greece to track down a Manticore, and when he first caught Lovesickness after realizing how much he cared about Sigrid despite being Death wanting her soul). —
