Like his parents
Johannes Faustuz sees that his parents were quite dorky together, something he could relate with (he and Freyja can get a bit dorky too, often embarrassing their son Cedrick whenever he’s around). He’s also seeing his father through the eyes of his mother with the diary, as well as the thoughts of the young girl he never interacted with (she died soon after childbirth; Richard died when he was two years old). - Sigrid and Richard were inseparable after their first night together, their bond constantly reenforced with their shared interests in games, movies, and pop music (aside from being familiar with the world of the occult and mythical creatures, and both were very knowledgeable about natural remedies). They would try to beat each other’s high scores in the arcade, finish quoting lines from movies, and Sigrid loved listening to Richard sing the latest pop songs pitch perfect (something Faustuz actually inherited from him, making him the “Karaoke King” of the family). —
