It’s alive! So now how will they kill the mermaid? And what will Johannes Faustuz talk about with Tyrone regarding Queenie? - I thought about coloring this page, but I’m feeling lazy.😅 Maybe the next page or a character sheet featuring these two characters and the Meerjungfrau. — #digitalart #digitaldrawing #ipadproart #ipadrodrawing #halftone #black #white #grey #gray #blackandwhite #blackandwhiteart #mangastyle #originalcharacters #malecharacter #man #femalecharacter #girl #child #mermaid #mermay2019 #mermay

Oh... Queenie... You’re so much trouble... That was the Herr Doktor’s heirloom from his great-grandfather, and it looks like he knows what that thing will do once it gets rehydrated. - I guess this is my first official #mermay pic this year, lol. — #digitalart #digitaldrawing #ipadproart #ipadrodrawing #halftone #black #white #grey #gray #blackandwhite #blackandwhiteart #mangastyle #originalcharacters #malecharacter #man #femalecharacter #girl #child #jar #aquarium #fish #mermaid #mermay2019

A little bit late posting this pic up since it was made yesterday and it’s May now. I’ve been feeling a bit more tired than usual the last several days. - I’m still figuring out how to work with the mummified jarred mermaid for MerMay. #mermay is just around the corner. Do I plan to draw a mermaid/merman every day of May? 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣😫 My Gawd NO. I nearly went insane last year drawing so many of them. But~ I did have an all-time favorite MerMay pic from last year: Doktor Kasper’s mummified mermaid in a jar (swipe to last slide), so this year I might do a series of pics/comic pages on it (hopefully not one everyday🤦🏻‍♀️). Here’s a test/sneak peek with Queenie Williams intrigued by the creature. Whether it’s real or not, dead or alive... we’ll see soon enough. — #digitalart #digitaldrawing #ipadproart #ipadrodrawing #halftone #black #white #grey #gray #blackandwhite #blackandwhiteart #mangastyle #originalcharacter #femalecharacter #girl #child #jar

Going back to the early 1990s when Freyja and Johannes Faustuz were kids. They were childhood sweethearts with Freyja as the prettiest girl in the class while Faustuz was the nerdy geek and teacher’s pet. - As an avid bookworm herself, Freyja would always sneak up behind Faustuz to see what new book he was reading; she would often look over his head and/or shoulder to read some of his books since she was so much taller. After a few years, Faustuz would grow up so tall that Freyja would slip in between his arms not only for an embrace but also to read along with him. Because of their love of literature, they named their son Cedrick after the main character of “Little Lord Fauntleroy” (different spelling to emphasize the name’s meaning). — #digitalart #digitaldrawing #autodesksketchbook #drawing #ipadproart #ipadprodrawing #ipadart #characters #originalcharacters #animestyle #mangastyle #femalecharacter #malecharacter #characterart #blond #redhair #redhead #boy #girl #children #kids #readingbook #glasses #halftone #blue #orange #pink #white

Freyja’s a hugger while Johannes Faustuz and Cedrick aren’t so much. - I guess this could be a redraw of the Kasper Family drawing I made back in December 2017 (5th slide). I also included the #lineart (2nd slide), inking (3rd slide), and coloring (4th slide). All three consistently look like the 2017 version, except Cedrick has a different hairstyle, is wearing his glasses, and a bit younger and cuter look while still being a teenager. — #digitalart #digitaldrawing #autodesksketchbook #drawing #ipadproart #ipadprodrawing #ipadart #speeddrawing #speedcoloring #speedpainting #characters #originalcharacters #malecharacters #femalecharacter #family #fathermotherson #black #green #red #yellow #blond #redhair #glasses #grouphug #hug #frauv8_ocs

Johannes Faustuz walking the dogs. He’s not really a dog person, but for family, he’s willing to take care of them. - Aside from their cat Klimt, the Kaspers own two dogs. •Freud the dachshund was given to Johannes Faustuz due to his grandfather Olafur’s complications of dementia. He’s obviously named after Sigmund Freud, world-famous psychologist. He’s a biter, often digging up Freyja’s flowers, and chasing the cat around. Despite being the troublemaker, Freud is very protective of every family member. •Fräulein Flicka the Doberman was a former war dog looking for a forever home after suffering an injury. Freyja immediately fell in love with her while filming an episode of her TV show featuring war veterans. She adopted the dog without telling her husband and son, so their first encounter with a big barking black dog in the house was a shock. Flicka thinks she’s a lapdog, loves to snuggle with Klimt, and almost every night sleeps with Freyja and Johannes Faustuz. She still gets flashbacks from her war days when she hears loud sounds, but after a few kissing noises and dog treats, Flicka slowly comes out of her hiding place and continues being the sweet dog she is. — #digitalart #digitaldrawing #autodesksketchbook #drawing #ipadproart #ipadprodrawing #ipadart #character #originalcharacter #malecharacter #characterart #blond #manbun #glasses #hoodie #joggers #pets #dogs #dachshund #doberman #grey #gray #black #brown #yellow #red

It’s been a long time since I’ve drawn any of the Kaspers’ pets. They have two dogs and a cat (not including the myriad of fruit flies the Herr Doktor takes care of for experimenting). - Their cat cat Klimt is a huge fluffy orange Norwegian forest cat. He’s named after the Austrian artist Gustav Klimt because his fur resembles the swirling patterns in the artist’s gold paintings. Despite his size, Klimt think he can perch on anything and loves exploring high places which leads him into serious trouble. He’s very attached to Johannes Faustuz and Cedrick, often following either one of them around the house whenever they do come home from the hospital. Klimt enjoys cuddling up with his fellow pet Fräulein Flicka the Doberman, but avoids Freud the dachshund due to his rough playing and biting. Overall, he’s a sweet cat who loves giving attention to anyone he thinks is worth it. - I also included the #lineart. #memorablemonday: A #kitsune I drew about five years ago.🦊 The art style holds up pretty well over the years, though nowadays I’d probably might of added more shading and/or halftone. I also drew this with a #wacom tablet, so there might be slightly more precision in the #lineart. It’s also #earthday today, so I wanted to share something ‘nature-y’. — #drawing #digitalart #digitaldrawing #female #femalecharacter #fox #japanesefolklore #yokai #white #grey #gray #black #blackandwhite #mangastyle #repost #oldart

Random fact: it’s #nationallookalikeday today. I could of drawn twins, but I opted for a cute father-son pic. And this could of been a #fathersday pic, but meh. I can always repost it later. - Cedrick is pretty much a cut/copy and paste version of his father Johannes Faustuz, especially when he was younger with much shorter hair. But like with all copies, they’re never quite the same as the original. Both Kaspers have Heterochromia iridium in the right eye, but Papa has partial while Baby has complete. Faustuz is right-handed; Cedrick is a lefty like his mother Freyja. - Feel free to color in the @lineart - tag @frauv8 and #colorthis_fv8 so I can see your work. — #digitalart #digitaldrawing #autodesksketchbook #drawing #ipadproart #ipadprodrawing #ipadart #characters #originalcharacters #malecharacters #characterart #dad #father #son #baby #infant #babyboy #fatherandson #glasses #pinstripes #dots #halftone #blond #red #blue #frauv8_ocs

It’s #nationalhighfiveday, but Johannes Faustuz isn’t feeling very “Hans-y”. 😅(terrible joke) - I enjoy drawing my characters wearing fashionable clothing a lot (they dress better than me, lol), allowing me to play with different styles and colors. Both are wearing somewhat matching outfits with a bold spring/summer yellow/blue color scheme, and each guy has his own reaction to it. Hr. Dr. Kasper wears whatever his wife Freyja picks for him despite not liking the outfits (he prefers just his black scrubs or a simple solid color collared-shirt that’s often wrinkled, occasional neck tie, rolled-up khakis, and black shoes); Tyrone naturally chooses very bright colors and prints despite his wife Asia wanting him to tone it down. And yes, Faustuz is doing the #frenchtuck (holler back in the comments if you know what it is 😉). - Feel free to color the #lineart - tag @frauv8 and #colorthis_fv8 so I can see your work. — #digitalart #digitaldrawing #autodesksketchbook #drawing #ipadproart #ipadprodrawing #ipaddrawing #ipadart #originalcharacters #malecharacters #male #men #mensfashion #male #stripes #pattern #glasses #shirt #yellow #blue #green #teal #cyan #brown #red #white #black
