Green with the Kasper Brothers 🟢 Green is the color I use most often for the Kaspers because of its association with many things villainous, magical, and deadly (aside from positivity, earthly, and lively- in regard to nature). The Kasper Family has a close affinity with Death, having hot tempers, twisted sense of humors, and being involved with heinous acts in the past - giving them a notorious reputation within the Occult Community as “Evil” and “Monstrous”. Despite their dark history and reputation, positive traits of the Kasper Family are their quality of work, efficiency in completing tasks, and their expression of love and commitment to their family members - especially towards their significant others (i.e. Heinrich gives Yoko a kiss on the forehead every morning waking up; Richard always left small boxed gifts for Sigrid after they spent the night together). The layout and art style are also a bit similar to those on retro clothing pattern packs. Another fashion era comparison with Johannes and his parents Richard & Sigrid: 1980s suit vs 2020s suit It seems like anything from the 1980s to the 2000s are in and fair game (so basically just rewear whatever you and your family accumulated over the years and / or go to a local thrift shop - there’s more than enough clothing available to choose from and it’s sustainable). The 1980s really loved their suits, especially Armani for men and the female “Power Suit” with the shoulder pads & tailored skirts. Sigrid loves dressing up whenever she gets a chance to wear something that’s not her school uniform, especially gowns & suits to show off her sewing skills; Richard finally updated his wardrobe from the 1970s soon after dating Sigrid to show an effort to keep up with appearances (he normally wears a black robe as Death; when summoned back as a human, he tries to wear new current clothing appropriate for his “adjusted age”). His overall existence as deity is over 350,000 years old and is quite a hoarder when it comes to obtaining souls (punishment for wandering souls is being crushed out of existence by his hands; wandering souls also have the tendency to transform into rogue monsters, adding to the usual work of Reapers). As a human, nobody (except family) knows exactly how old Richard is - he’s at least 8 years older than Sigrid (~23), most likely over twice her age (~36), but definitely younger than 40 (the age he supposedly “died”, which also happens to be their son’s current age). Most also assume it’s his job as a doctor is why he constantly travels abroad; in reality it’s Fate Herself telling him which souls he needs to collect himself (otherwise Richard is either practicing general medicine at Kiel or conducting research for cures from diseases caused by curses at Copenhagen). Retro vibes once again… - By the late 1970s/early 1980s after establishing himself as Europe’s most deadliest Reaper, Richard was told by Fate he approx. had 5 more years before he had to return to his true form as Death for an unforeseeable time. This made things even more complicated for him since becoming the current heir of the Kasper bloodline after his older brother Heinrich gave up the title when he married Yoko and their 2 children didn’t inherit the family’s infamous “Odin’s Eye” (Richard enjoyed being single and breaking many young women’s hearts for fun as a wandering Playboy, and as the younger of 2 sons he expected to live a carefree laidback life). Richard had agreed to get engaged to a high-class Enchantress named Sheila handpicked by the family’s patriarch to stop the incessant lecture of needing a new heir. But after a year of dealing with her expensive spending habits driving him to close his private medical practice from bankruptcy and witnessing Sheila mistreating his sister-in-law, he immediately threw her out in the rain with her newly bought clothes and vowed to let Fate decide what will happen. Out of a whim a few months later, Fate assigned him to observe Sigrid who had a life curse due within 2 years, knowing he would have to personally claim her soul as the price promised by her father to extend his life.
