Finished using Sharpies, Fluently Illustration markers from Daiso, Sakura Micron pens, and Kuretake brush pens. Not the best work, not the best art supplies, but definitely a nice break from the iPad Pro. — #redpencil #ink #alcoholmarkers #alcoholinkart #markerart #markerdrawing #pen #drawing #sketchbookdrawing #traditionalart #sketchbook #leuchtturm1917 #malecharacter #originalcharacter

Another color scheme pic; these colors are similar to a previous drawing (last slide). - It’s also a Kasper family portrait with Papa Ström stepping in. Looks like a happy family, but seconds before Freyja snapped the shot, everyone else isn’t so happy - especially her husband and father (second slide). Erik and Johannes Faustuz have a long history in not liking each other, but for family’s sake, they’re willing to set their grudges aside momentarily. — #digitalart #digitaldrawing #autodesksketchbook #drawing #ipadproart #ipadprodrawing #ipaddrawing #ipadart #colorstudy #animestyle #originalcharacters #originalcharacterart #malecharacters #boy #men #father #grandfather #son #femalecharacter #woman #mother #family #frauv8_ocs

Another color study - this time with the color of yellow (getting “Kill Bill” vibes with this color scheme). - Cedrick (or “CK” as his coworkers and acquaintances call him) is showing off a few of the latest Fall fashion trends this year. (There’s been so much tweed, knits, houndstooth, glen plaid, and yellow everywhere!😧) He’s also got a different haircut (well, actually a more trimmer and styled version of the bowl-cut he had for the past year), and he’s really looking like his father with that hairline. Cedrick also has his usual mismatched shoes despite being both sock shoes of the same brand (sock shoes are quite popular this season too). - I included closeups of his clothes, the original finished version featured in the IGTV post, and the line art for anyone who wants to color him in - just tag @frauv8 #frauv8colorthisin so I can see your work.🤗 — #digitalart #digitaldrawing #autodesksketchbook #drawing #ipadproart #ipadprodrawing #ipaddrawing #ipadart #lineart #colorstudy #animestyle #originalcharacter #originalcharacterart #malecharacter #boy #teenageboy #yellow #fashion #fallfashion #plaid #sockshoes #frauv8_ocs

Kinda another color study? Line art practice? Both? Just felt like drawing these two as kids again. I probably should of added some butterfly hair clips since Johannes Faustuz and Freyja were kids in the 90s, and they’re getting popular again. (kudos to anyone who had the same kind of bracelet as Freyja - I wore tons of those back when I was a kid) — #digitalart #digitaldrawing #autodesksketchbook #drawing #ipadproart #ipadprodrawing #ipaddrawing #ipadart #colorstudy #animestyle #originalcharacters #originalcharacterart #malecharacter #boy #femalecharacter #girl #children #couple #frauv8_ocs

The color behind Freyja should be familiar - it’s #livingcoral, the Pantone color of 2019 and same color I used in a previous drawing of her back in January. The way she’s dressed should also look familiar - Freyja is wearing an outfit inspired by her husband’s work attire, only much more stylish and vibrant (and less wrinkled, lol). — #digitalart #digitaldrawing #digitalsketch #ipaddrawing #ipadart #ipadproart #ipadrodrawing #sketchbookautodesk #animestyle #originalcharacters #characterart #characterdesign #characterstudy #colorscheme #femalecharacter #fashion #pantone2019 #frauv8_ocs #frauv8

Something creepy as Halloween nears. - Still plan on making a more detailed digital version since this is a quick ink pic done in my mini sketchbook; the detailed version would also have him wearing a shirt with a rib cage to complete the skeletal-look - and Frl. Flicka’s true form! Or another idea is have Cedrick in his fantasy version revealing his reaper-form which would be his actual skeleton showing through. - Media Used: •Kuretake Pens •0.5 Erasable Ink Pen •Daiso “Frequently” Alcohol Illustrator Markers — #frauv8 #drawing #sketchbook #inkdrawing #sketchbookart #leuchtturm1917 #inkart #inkartwork #alcoholinkart #alcoholmarker #alcoholmarkerart #traditionalart #markers #marker #markerart #originalcharacter #originalcharacterart #skullmakeup #skull #bowlcut #blond

Looks like Papa Kasper is going to be a Viking for Halloween this year, lol. - The correct answer to my pop quiz was “Norwegian Forest Cat”. The Kaspers’ cat is a Weegie (also spelled Wegie, which is the nickname for this breed of cat), and boy is he trouble always catching and often killing small creatures only to bring them to his masters as offerings of love. Klimt also likes climbing up trees, but often gets stuck high up - thus Cedrick or Johannes Faustuz has to rescue him by climbing up and risking limbs. - Weegies are the most popular cat breed of Scandinavia for obvious reasons: they’re from Norway, they are tied to Norse mythology as the drivers of the goddess Freyja’s chariot, and were companions of Vikings. Being descendants of Viking royalty and warriors, the Ström family always owned this breed of cat throughout the ages due to their loyalty and affection. — #digitalart #digitaldrawing #ipaddrawing #ipadart #ipadproart #ipadrodrawing #autodesksketchbook #comic #animestyle #originalcharacter #characterart #malecharacter #cat #vikinghat #frauv8 #frauv8_ocs

Testing out some alcohol markers I got from Daiso. Nice vibrant colors, not very good blendablity. They come in packs of two for $1.50 USD, so very cheap - maybe too cheap since one of the markers leaked inside the wrapper before opening and I had to throw it away (also made my skin blue like a Smurf for a bit). So far, my favorite alcohol markers are Hobby Colour, Windsor & Newton, Master, Illustrator, and Ohuhu; Copic is great as always, but way too pricy. - As for the art, it’s a bit cutesy compared to my usual style. It’s a different take on Freyja and Faustuz, almost like a Shojo manga. Especially for Johannes Faustuz looking more feminine here. — #frauv8 #drawing #sketchbook #inkdrawing #sketchbookart #leuchtturm1917 #inkart #inkartwork #alcoholinkart #alcoholmarker #alcoholmarkerart #traditionalart #markers #marker #markerart #originalcharacters

About a week ago I asked if there’s any fan art anyone would like me to draw, and here she is! She’s not exactly the same as the original in detail, but I’d say she has the same vibe. (@porkopti) - I know a lot of people just think I only draw my OCs, but it’s not always the case. I’ll do occasional DTIYS challenges, some fan art (whether it’s requested or out of whim), and rarely commissions. Doing challenges and requests allow me to interact with others as well as sharpen my skills and creativity as an artist. - Let me know what you think in the comments!👩🏻‍🎨 — #digitalart #digitaldrawing #ipaddrawing #ipadart #ipadproart #ipadrodrawing #autodesksketchbook #animestyle #characterart #fanart #femalecharacter #hatsunemiku #miku #mikuhatsune #racingmiku

A glimpse into Freyja’s garden with the Pink Fairy (named Rosemarie), the baby Wolpertinger (affectionately called Fritz), the Hyōsube in her miniature bathtub (now called Junko Akane), Freud the Dachshund, and a Mindanao Man-Eating Tree sapling obviously nicknamed Seymour. The plants aside from Seymour are a tiny succulent, miniature apples (which Freyja calls “Idun’s Golden Apples”), a turnip, and a potted eggplant. — #digitalart #digitaldrawing #ipaddrawing #autodesksketchbook #ipadart #ipadproart #ipadrodrawing #lineart #sketchbook #sketch #sketching #leuchtturm1917 #plants #garden #dog #fairy #wolpertinger #hyosube

Freyja and Frl. Flicka; her husband Johannes Faustuz and other dog Freud in the end. (Swipe right to see➡️) - “Flicka” is “Girl” in Freyja’s native Swedish, and she’s definitely Freyja’s girl. Faustuz and Cedrick refer to her as “Fräulein” as form of endearment - hence her full name Frl. Flicka “Miss Girl.” - Freyja adopted Frl. Flicka after attending a charity for military veterans; she was told that the dog was injured in combat and had trouble with finding a forever-home due to her aggressive behavior. Frl. Flicka immediately warmed up to Freyja and has always been super sweet around her and fellow creatures at the Kasper household. Professor Vincent-Claude DeValeur with his pet tarantula Bonbon. - Being allergic to cats and dogs, Vinnie always wanted to own a pet. So he ended up owning pet bugs and reptiles (sometimes poisonous ones) throughout his childhood despite his parents’ dislike of them. No matter how you look at it, Vinnie loves animals despite them being able to kill him. Currently he own Bonbon the tarantula, Malfoy the albino corn snake, and Lancelot the box turtle - all three live in his lab at the university he works at. — #digitalart #digitaldrawing #ipaddrawing #ipadart #ipadproart #ipadrodrawing #autodesksketchbook #animestyle #originalcharacter #characterart #malecharacter #tarantula #spider #frauv8 #frauv8_ocs

Here’s my Necromancer Mage. I’m done with #inktober2019. À bientôt! Auf Wiedersehen! Bye~👋🏻 (No... No... Not really, lol.) - #inktober is a big challenge, and this year I’m not feeling like doing 31 of these kind of pics. Obviously I’m skilled enough and capable of finishing a piece in a day, but to make a really good piece, it takes the whole day - if not more than a day (I spent maybe 12 hours total on this guy). This was also done on a large 10.5”x15” piece of paper (approximately 27x38cm), so I don’t think having another 30 of these lying around in my apartment is very practical (that’s why I’ve enjoy doing stuff digitally or in sketchbooks). I might make another traditional piece, but not anytime soon. ☠️ Media Used: •Sakura Pigma Micron •Staedtler Mars Graphic 3000 Duo •Winston & Newton Brushmarker •Spectrum noir Illustrator Dual-Tip Markers — #inktober #ink #blackink #pen #marker #markerart #alcoholmarker #traditionalart #traditionalmedia #drawing #inkdrawing #fantasyart #necromancer #mage #skull #magehat
