- “ •Fantasy Concept: Death himself - the founder of the Kasper Clan •Death is an immortal being who observes the balance of life and power for Fate, creator of all that exists. Fate allowed her servant to roam the world as a wondering doctor studying all kinds of medicines that exist. Under the name Richard, Death and a few Blood Elves founded the Kasper Clan as a safe home for those who were disowned for their mixed ancestry and so-called genetic anomalies. As Richard, Death appears to look like a Wood Elf with some human mixed in. •Being a wandering doctor, Richard has been known as a “Quack” and fool to many that encounter him. But a young female Blood Elf Sigrid falls for him despite her father’s disapproval and suspicions. He and Sigrid marry and travel back to his village where they have a son together. But Fate calls him back when a king begins to invade and search for a way to bring his wife back to life. “ - Death aka Richard is Johannes Faustuz’s father, Cedrick’s grandfather. Pretty obvious seeing how much they look alike. And yes, Death is a Dick. 😅 It’s not just his name, it’s also because he’s not a very good father and at times just lets people die for the hell of it. — #malecharacter #originalcharacter #death #bone #skeleton #skull #horseskull #blackcloak #flowers #pen #marker #pencil #pinkpencil #kuretake #staedtler #ohuhu #milanpencil #sakuragellyroll #handdrawn #handwriting #dottednotebook #lemome_notebooks #ink #inkart #inkartwork #blackblue #blueblack #blackink #blueink

- “ •Fantasy Concept: Faustuz and his mask •The doctor’s mask allows Faustuz to see what and where a person’s ailments are so he can properly treat them. Most fear the sight of it since it is believed to be an object made by Death himself. •The mask is inspired by medieval doctors’ attire during the Black Plague and early 20th century gas masks used during World War I. “ - I also took a closeup shot to show the marker brushstrokes and texture of the white #kuretakebrushpen and #whitegelpen I used. — #originalcharacter #malecharacter #mage #magehat #hat #glasses #plaguedoctormask #marker #pen #pencil #drawing #handdrawn #dottednotebook #lemome_notebook #lemome_notebooks #ohuhu #mastermarkers #whitegellyrollpen

- “ •Fantasy Concept: Johannes Faustuz Kasper and Princess Freyja Ström as young teenagers (age 13-14) •Freyja claimed Faustuz as her slave from her father when she was 13. Because he was claimed by a girl, mage tradition says to treat the female master as his future wife. Despite all the abuse he suffered, Faustuz is very protective of Freyja and loves her. It takes several years before Freyja realizes her feelings for him and treats him as an equal. “ - •Additional Notes: Faustuz wore a silencing choker/collar when he was treated as a slave, preventing him from casting spells and only allowing him to make basic vocal noises such as screams, groans, and growls instead of speaking properly. — #sketchbook #dottednotebook #lemome_notebook #lemome_notebooks #pen #blackink #marker #tombowdualbrushpens #mildliners #zebramildliner #originalcharacters #couple #teenages #boy #girl

Page 5. The Kaspers obviously don’t celebrate #thanksgiving because they’re not American; therefore, turkey to them is just an overrated roasted bird. - •Fantasy Concept: Princess Freyja and her son Cedrick Kasper as a young boy. •All her life being the only daughter and child of a low-status warrior king, Freyja has been teased by her peers that she would never marry and bear an heir for her father. That all changed when she ran away and married her slave Faustuz, eventually having a son with him. This makes Cedrick sole heir to all of the warrior tribes when the other princes and princesses failed to have sons - that is if King Erik manages to take him away from his parents. Cedrick is also the only necromancer mage aside from his father, also making him the future chief of the Kasper Clan. On top of that, Cedrick is a prodigy in regards to medicine and elemental spells, which leads him into becoming a medic for the royal military. Freyja and Cedrick do not have a very close relationship due to her being gone hunting while he studies with his father. But despite that, Freyja loves her son very much and does everything she can to keep him safe. — #digitalart #digitalcolouring #digitalcoloring #digitalinking #originalcharacters #motherson #motherchild #mother #woman #son #boy #child #autodesksketchbook #ipadproart #lemome_notebooks #sketchbook #dottednotebook

Finally able to post this pic up - Freyja in complete warrior attire and with her weapon of choice in hand (she’s a leftie). - “ •Fantasy Concept: Princess Freyja Ström •A female warrior, common amongst the Human race but rare amongst the mystical Druid race of the Northern Isles. Her father abducted her mother from the rare Golan Tribe. Freyja’s mother died giving birth, and being the only child and daughter gives her father a low status among the other warrior tribes. This makes it hard for her father to find a prince willing to marry her and produce an heir. King Erik manages to find a prince from the Madeira Tribe to marry Freyja, but to his dismay, the prince is smitten by her slave Faustuz. Freyja was also upset that the prince she liked, Wagner Blitzburg, was betrothed to another princess. She ends up running away with Faustuz, eventually marrying him. Her father at some time finds her with a son, determined to take him as his heir. ” — #sketchbook #dottednotebook #lemome_notebooks #lemomenotebook #ink #blackink #bluepencil #penteltradio #kuretake #kuretakebrushpen #kuretakecambio #sharpie #mildliner #sakuragellyroll #originalcharacter #femalecharacter #femalewarrior #battleax #antlercrown

Heard the sad news about #stanlee at work today. Lost an American media hero when times seem so dark these days with the craziness here in California, 46-1 doing a crappy job with WWI memorials over at Europe, and on #veteransday this year too. - “ •Fantasy Concept: Cedrick and Faustuz Kasper •Cedrick’s uniform is inspired from imperial and fascist attire. The white color is a reflection of his medical profession of doctor, and that his hometown is a seaport - many Naval uniforms are white for dress attire. Skulls and bones also tie to his medical profession and the Kasper Clan’s symbol is the skull due to their connection with Death. • Faustuz wears an alternative version of his mage’s attire. His clothing in general is inspired by medieval plague doctors. He normally wears a white coat like a modern doctor and bird-like plague doctor’s mask attached to his hat; the plain black #hat reflects old-traditional doctors in Europe while the black cloak is Death/Grim Reaper. “ — #dottednotebook #sketchbook #lemomenotebook #lemome_notebooks #lemomesketchbook #ink #blackink #inkart #inkartwork #pinkpencil #penteltradio #kuretake #kuretakecambio #tombowdualbrush #whitegelpen #gellyroll #originalcharacters #malecharacters #fatherson

- “ •Fantasy Concept: Johannes Faustuz Kasper (Age: 13) •Descended from a long line of rare Dark/Blood Elves and human hybrids, Faustuz became the last of his kind when King Erik Ström burned and destroyed his village with Wood Elves. He was initially captured to be an experiment for the King’s advisor Marion, an albino witch from the Southern Continent. But he caught the attention of King Erik’s daughter, becoming her slave boy. He endures all kinds of abuse and torture in Freyja’s delight, leading him to occasionally think of murdering her in her sleep. But because the princess claimed him as her own, mage tradition dictates that such a girl would become his wife and partner for life. It takes years before he and Freyja realize how much they mean to each other, leading to a night of accidental passion and eventual marriage. “ — #lemome_notebooks #lemomenotebook #lemomesketchbook #sketchbook #dottednotebook #blue #pencil #black #ink #pens #platinum #preppy #pilotkakuno #handwrittennotes #boy #child #alone #sitting #rocks #drawing #pendrawing #inkdrawing #bluepencil

#pendrawing in my current #lemomesketchbook / #lemomenotebook . Seems like the whole thing will be dedicated to the Fantasy Concept. - Which leads to this question: Which version of Freyja do you like better - Fantasy or Modern? - “ •Fantasy Concept: Princess Freyja • Only child of King Erik Ström, Freyja grew up spoiled and arrogant. She took Faustuz Kasper as her slave as a gift from her father. Freyja decided to run away with Faustuz when her father arranged a marriage to a prince, leading to a big change in her life. “ — #originalcharacter #femalecharacter #warriorprincess #antlercrown #redhair #penart #inkart #inkartwork #inkdrawing #dottednotebook #dottedpaper

Second pic in my #lemomenotebook/#lemomesketchbook with the listed media I used to make it. Looks like I’m going for the Fantasy Concept for my characters again, and it’s #red this time. Maybe a bit risky with these two, lol. 😘 With the first one blue, this one red, my third one should be green and feature their son Cedrick. - “ •Fantasy Concept: Princess Freyja and Faustuz Kasper. •Princess Freyja claimed Faustuz as her own then they first met as children. Finished! This is the first pic in my new #lemomesketchbook I ordered from Amazon not too long ago. I listed out all the media I used to make it on the opposite page so that it’ll lay flat as much as possible. And everything is so #blue, lol. - “ •Fantasy Concept: Papa Kasper (Faustuz) and Baby Cedrick. •The last known two necromancer mages; Faustuz is the patriarch of the Kasper Clan who is a master of magic and medicine, while Cedrick is closely following after his father’s steps. Cedrick is also a prodigy in casting elemental spells and the dark arts such as summoning monsters. Both have fierce appetites, often fighting each other for the best scraps of food whenever they forage at the swamp or forest. Father and Son are very close and would do anything to make sure the other is safe and sound after battle. ” — #ink #inkart #inkartwork #inkdrawing #blueink #bluepencil #blueartwork #bluecolor #sketchbook #dottednotebook #lemome_notebooks #originalcharacters #fatherson #baby #mage #hat #plaguedoctormask #goggles #batwing

First #sketch in this new #lemomesketchbook I bought from Amazon. The paper is #dotted and almost as thick as card stock, which makes it ideal for ink work. I’d like it more if it had a table of contents like a Leuchtturm 1917 in the beginning so I can label and date pics as I make them, but I guess I’ll have to work something out. - It’s the Fantasy Concept this time with a very tired Papa Kasper and a very awake Baby Cedrick. I’m still figuring out how I’m going to ink this - I’m just mesmerized by how pretty the blue sketch turned out, lol.🔹🔷 — #bluepencil #bluepencilsketch #roughdrawing #roughsketch #pencilsketch #sketchbook #dottednotebook #lemome_notebooks #originalcharacters #fatherson #mage #baby #blue #hat #plaguedoctormask #goggles #batwing

It’s #halloween time! And 🎈 should of been a good enough hint - it’s #it! Originally I thought about having Papa Kasper dressed up as the old version of Pennywise and Cedrick as the new version, but then I thought it’d be cuter if I had a kid version of Cedrick as Georgie with his father as the demonic #clown. #inktober #flower Bonus Pic: - #buttercup - Despite their various heights and sizes, all Buttercups are bright butter-yellow flowers with green centers. They’re paired with Daisies, and symbolize humility, charm, friendship, and childishness. The name is also used as a term of endearment, just like the flower Sweet Pea. - I decided to make another quick drawing before #inktober2018 ends. This time we have the cute little mischievous Queenie Williams, Tyrone and Asia’s daughter/Tricia’s little cousin. At her age, many children are familiar with the Buttercup and other wildflowers that are easy to pick and make into flower chains. — #moleskinecahier #moleskine #ink #blackink #inkart #inkdrawing #blackandwhite #black #originalcharacter #femalecharacter #child #girl #flowers #holdingflowers #pens #whitegellyrollpen #pentel #penteltradio #kuretake #kuretakebrushpen #kuretakecambio #pencil

#inktober #flower pic no.28 - #meconopsis - An endangered species of flower with a rare sky-blue color with hints of mauve and pink, the Meconopsis is the national flower of Bhutan. It’s native to the Himalayas where it grows in high altitudes in cool weather; like Edelweiss, many seek to find this flower growing in its natural habitat. It is a species of #poppy, which stand for slumber, passion, and remembrance of those who served in the armed forces during war. - Just a simple #drawing with Cedrick. #inktober #flower pic no.27 - #carnation - One of the world’s most popular flowers, the carnation is a flower of many colors. When freshly cut and put into colored water, it can show that color through its petals. The carnation is believed to be a flower of the gods and a flower linked to the death of Christ and flesh. This flower is the official flower for Mother’s Day, and most given are in shades of pink and red to express love. The carnation is the birth flower of January. - For this pic, it’s Yoko Kasper, Johannes Faustuz’s aunt who raised him with his two older cousins. For Mother’s Day, the Herr Doktor always gives his elderly aunt a handwritten note and carnation to show his appreciation for her despite the two never getting along. — #inktober2018 #originalcharacter #femalecharacter #holdingflower #sketchbook #moleskine #moleskinecahier #pens #pencil #pentel #pentelpen #tradio #brushpen #sharpie #platinumpen #platinumpreppy #whitegelpen

#inktober #flower pic no.26 - #hibiscus - The state flower of Hawaii and national flower of Haiti, this tropical flower comes in red, yellow, pink, purple, and white. They are used in herbal tea and food flavoring, not just as gardening plants. The hibiscus gets it name from an Ancient Greek derived name of a Roman botanist and doctor. This flower symbolizes delicate feminine beauty, fleeting glory and fame, young women, and the qualities of the perfect wife. - With the flower of feminine beauty and wives, it’s Asia and Freyja again. These ladies have grace, beauty, wits, and lots of attitude to share. - This pic was digitally inked and colored with #autodesksketchbook this time. It’s in the grey area whether I think counts for Inktober, but the #digitalink brushwork does resemble actual #ink, so I guess it’s a pass. - 5 more to go~ With some extras too, lol. — #inktober2018 #originalcharacters #femalecharacters #women #redflowers #digitalart #digitalartwork #digitalcoloring #sketchbook #moleskine #moleskinecahier #pencil #mechanicpencil

#originalcharacter 3️⃣: Freyja Ström (middle name is Avis) She fulfills tropes as the hot wife of a nerdy guy, being a hot momma of a teenage son, and being a terrible cook despite being the most kind and loving wife/mother/friend/neighbor there is. Just stay away when she prepares her “Kraken Suppe” if you value your life - both Kasper men bear scars from her signature dish (physical and psychological). - Fun Note: “Ström” translates into many things in Swedish relating to water, air, and electricity such as “Stream,” “Current,” and “Storm.” Also, my grandmother’s maiden name is Ström. So in a way, Freyja is a tribute to my grandma and part of my heritage. (I’m a 1/4 Swede 🇸🇪) - So which character is next? #inktober #flower pic no.25 - #aster - From Greek meaning “Star” and also known as #starwort, these flowers are very similar to the daisy. They come in white, pink, blue, violet, lavender, and red with yellow centers. Asters are believed to be enchanted blossoms, used as a love talisman and burned for protection. They symbolize patience and wisdom; they are the birth flower for the month of September and are given for couples’ 20th wedding anniversary. - I decided to go a bit more digital on this pic after inking it (like what I did with no.4 and no.19). - Freyja was used for Daisy, so Faustuz as a necromancer mage was the obvious choice for Aster. Mages are often regarded as wise and healing in the fantasy world regardless of what kind they are; being a necromancer mage allows Faustuz to not only cure ailments but also to bring the dead back to life abet they haven’t been killed or dead longer than a day. #inktober #flower pic no.20 - #marigold - Know as “Herbs of the Sun,” these flowers only bloom when the sun is up in the sky. They represent bravery like that of a roaring lion, passion like the blazing sun, and creativity when the mind is enlightened; they can also represent cruelty, jealousy, and grief. They are used in Dia de los Muertos / Day of the Dead celebrations to guide the spirits to their alters and families (think of the movie ‘COCO’). — This time it’s Granger Rodriguez and her younger siblings Carmen and Tobias amongst a bunch of marigolds, also known as “flowers of the dead.” Tobias holds a sugar skull in his hand which are often brightly colored and decorated.
