#repost of poor Uncle Hans getting his Elsa makeover. Now Hr. Dr. Kasper looks like a zombie at the hospital dealing with the virus. - I watched “Frozen II” last night, and it’s a hot mess with great music and visuals. I feel so sorry for anyone with little kids who demand to rewatch both movies and three side adventures (there’s a freaking LEGO one too!) over and over. - Which Disney film I can watch over and over again without being annoyed? “Emperor’s New Groove.” Love that movie. Go watch it. Llama drama rules. —— #digitalart #comic #animestyle #originalcharacters #frozen #elsafrozen #elsa #blue

It’s Saint Patrick’s Day today, but there’s no bar open due to corona (not the beer; bad joke). But for lots of people in the medical field, this is not a time to party with lots of patients needing extra care and attention. Let’s do our best to “Flatten the Curve” to help out our hospitals, nurses, and doctors so they don’t get even more overwhelmed - and so one day they can get that nice cold pint of beer for their hard work. 🍺 - Hr. Dr. Kasper is luckily wearing his green scrubs so he won’t be pinched (not that anyone would these days with Social Distancing), and would like some beer as he reads his newspapers on his down time. But with non-emergency surgeries put on hold, this oncologist doesn’t have much to do besides helping out everyone else at the hospital with whatever they need. Also, with his wife Freyja stuck in Sweden due to the European travel ban, there’s not much he can do at home besides wrangling a teenage son, two dogs, a cat, a pair of Wolpertingers, a Hyōsube Yōkai, a pink fairy, a man-eating tree sapling, and a wondering eight-legged horse. —— #digitalart #digitaldrawing #autodesksketchbook #drawing #ipadproart #ipadprodrawing #ipaddrawing #ipadart #animestyle #originalcharacter #originalcharacterart #stpatricksday #malecharacter #man #doctor #frauv8_ocs

It’s the whole family! As a cute chibi pile! — Someone had questioned whether if everyone would be blond, but NO! Not all Swedes, Germans, or Scandinavians in general are blond in real life, so this family should reflect that fact (my grandma is Swedish, and she had auburn hair like Freyja’s cousins Einar and Gunnar). It’s a silly, stupid stereotype that gets tacked on for lots of nationalities that are “majority White” (*glares at a certain popular anime that starts with an “H”*). — Freyja loves both halves of her family, but it’s hinted that she might love her Kasper part more due to the challenges of having an overbearing husband and moody Wunderkind that tests her wits versus the Ströms constantly spoiling her like a princess without question. - Being married to Freyja, poor Johannes Faustuz is often assumed to be a Ström himself by her coworkers and the media (getting the name “Jonah Fritz Ström” from the confusion); he obviously hates it not being called by his actual name and title, but for family’s sake, he’s willing to put up with it. - As for family traits, Ströms usually have blue or green eyes and some shade of blond or red hair. Cedrick looks a lot like his Ström relatives (especially his grandfather Erik and mother’s cousin Werner), but is immediately casted out as a Kasper with his odd eyes (Kaspers inherit heterochromia if they have blue eye genes). — #digitaldrawing #digitalart #drawing #ipaddrawing #ipadprodrawing #ipadart #ipadproart #autodesksketchbook #originalcharacters #family #chibi #chibistyle #frauv8_ocs

This actually happens quite often whenever the Kaspers go over for a visit to the Ström estate in Sweden. Papa Ström and Papa Kasper constantly fight each other to prove their worth, which scares off the four Ström nephews/cousins but infuriates Freyja (Cedrick, on the other hand, has fun watching his father and grandfather throw kicks and punches at each other). - Erik Ström never liked Johannes Faustuz ever since he first met him as a boy. He claims it’s because of the Kasper’s “diabolical” family history, low social class, and “impure” bloodline, but in reality, Papa Ström just doesn’t want to give his daughter to a man who is more capable than he is when it comes to killing rouge creatures. Erik also has some disappointment with his son-in-law choosing a career in the medical field instead of working for him at Ström Corporations. But one thing he does appreciate is that Faustuz is a man who willingly goes through Hell for the sake of family and friends. - Faustuz at first was frightened of Erik since he was obviously much bigger and was Freyja’s overprotective father. But as the years pass by, he looses respect for the older man as he increasingly becomes much taller and stronger. Faustuz also uses his brain to study up and train in the Kaspers’ secret business of cryptozoology, making it harder for Erik to ignore him whenever he needs assistance with his occult weaponry. After rescuing Freyja from an arranged marriage to a Bluebeard in disguise, and again saving her when she was pregnant with their son from a hungry Aswang, Faustuz finally had proven himself as a permanent asset to the Ström family. He appreciates his father-in-law’s old-school methods and unconditional love for Freyja and Cedrick, but he’ll never accept him as a role model as much as he does for Onkel Heinrich. —— #digitalart #digitaldrawing #ipadproart #ipadprodrawing #ipadart #ipaddrawing #drawing #originalcharacters #originalcharacterart #characters #malecharacters #femalecharacter #fight #kick

Cedrick found something in his father’s specimen collection that he just can’t wait to dissect. - One thing about Kaspers is that they can’t contain their eagerness to obtain knowledge by all means, making them quite mad and insane doing so. —— #digitaldrawing #digitalart #drawing #ipaddrawing #ipadprodrawing #ipadart #ipadproart #autodesksketchbook #originalcharacter #originalcharacterart #malecharacter #doctor #madscientist #maddoctor #jarredspecimen #animestyle #frauv8_ocs #green

This would sound like gibberish to Tyrone and Bertie standing just outside of the stock room; normally Johannes Faustuz and Freyja would speak in English to each other, but to keep things more private, they switch to German (Freyja would speak in Swedish with Cedrick if she wants something kept secret from his father). - Freyja is an overachiever, always trying to get that extra stretch to get her work done quicker; she claims to have the strength of ten men, but that might be because she’s the only female in her immediate family (husband, son, father, and her four cousins - all men). Faustuz always worries about his wife constantly working and burning out (though the same can be said about himself because he’s also a workaholic); he also worries because Freyja had fallen once and got a concussion during a runway show. But with two Type A personalities running the family, it’s expected that they clash every once in a while. - Now... Tyrone suspects that his buddy here isn’t such a good guy when really Johannes Faustuz is just very protective of his wife’s identity. - It’s also not often Freyja is working at her boutique; she’s usually busy with other things, like filming new episodes, organizing a magazine spread, discussing stocks with her cousins, or if she’s really feeling ambitious, helping her father make new weapons for killing monsters. —— #digitalart #digitaldrawing #autodesksketchbook #drawing #ipadproart #ipadprodrawing #ipadart #ipaddrawing #comic #originalcharacters #malecharacters #men #femalecharacter #frauv8_ocs

Part 3. Who’s Bertie? And “Mr. Ström”? What’s going on? - Hr. Dr. Kasper obviously has something against Bertie, especially with his odd eye turning yellow indicating that there’s a creature nearby. As for “Mr. Ström”, he gets called that by his wife’s coworkers, whether they assume that he’s really a member of the Ström family or jokingly call him that because he hides under his wife’s shadow. —— #digitalart #digitaldrawing #autodesksketchbook #drawing #ipadproart #ipadprodrawing #ipadart #ipaddrawing #comic #originalcharacters #malecharacters #men #femalecharacter #lingerieshopping #frauv8_ocs

A short story: Asia Williams first meeting with “Dr. Jo-Hans Kasper”. I included closer looks at most of the panels without text, and an extra pic that I didn’t use for the short. And yes... it’s a mess... I’m not good making these short comics, but I make them to show some character relationships and if an idea for story pops up. - Asia is Tyrone’s lovely wife who often drops by the hospital to give her husband a homemade lunch (she doesn’t trust Tyrone eating lunch on his own due to his love for sweets). She works at her family’s hairdressing/nail salon/barber shop with her niece Tricia, but aspires to operate her own handmade jewelry shop. Asia is also a big fan of Freyja’s show on TV, dreaming of being a contestant just to get exposure for her art; she doesn’t knows that her husband’s coworker Johannes Faustuz is her idol’s husband (yet), and unfortunately she’s not fond of him for lots of reasons - mainly because she’s jealous of Tyrone spending more time with his “Work-Spouse” than with her. Perhaps an informal lunch date with the “other man” will cheer her up... — #digitalart #digitaldrawing #autodesksketchbook #drawing #ipadproart #ipadprodrawing #ipaddrawing #ipadart #comic #animestyle #originalcharacter #originalcharacterart #malecharacters #femalecharacter #frauv8_ocs

February already?! Where have I been all this time?! (Busy with work and life is all, lol) - Nothing special this time, just simple pics of the Kasper Siblings - a Polaroid from the 90s and a current digital photo printed out from the Pharmacy. - Johannes Faustuz used to be teased all the time about being adopted by Hansel and Hannah (technically he was by his uncle Heinrich), but after Onkel Heinrich’s death, his older cousins became more attached to him since he looks and acts most like their father; both Hansel and Hannah will randomly hug their younger cousin to rid them of the feeling of their nostalgia for their father. —— #digitalart #digitaldrawing #autodesksketchbook #drawing #ipadproart #ipadprodrawing #ipaddrawing #ipadart #animestyle #originalcharacters #originalcharacterart #malecharacters #femalecharacter #family #cousins #siblings #pink #blue #green #yellow #frauv8 #frauv8_ocs

The votes are in!🗳 Cedrick Kasper in Color Scheme 1 was voted top choice, but Queenie Williams and Kimiko Abe had some love too (OCs in 2nd slide). I have pinks and purples planned out for each of them respectively; Queenie will have a tea party theme while Kimiko will have a kawaii Harajuku decora theme. And while planning out this drawing, another idea for Papa Kasper came up since this has a playful pose and vibe. - So wtf is this adorkable kid sticking his tongue out for? What a silly boy. 🤪 The last slide has a photo of a neon green jacket that inspired me. I gave Cedrick’s jacket skulls instead of roses because Kaspers don’t do pretty - they do weird and creepy. — #digitalart #digitaldrawing #ipadproart #ipadprodrawing #ipadart #ipaddrawing #drawing #originalcharacter #originalcharacterart #malecharacter #boy #teenboy #teenager #neoncolors #yellow #green #blue #hoodie #jacket #bowlcut #glasses #japanese #german

What did he do this time to be sleeping outside with one of the dogs? Whatever it was, Freyja must be pissed... or is it that time of the month? Who knows. - “The doghouse” is the part of the house that’s open to the patio where Freud stays most of the time to keep out of Freyja’s garden (thus it gets its name). It’s also where Johannes Faustuz sleeps whenever he and his wife aren’t getting along or want time alone for themselves. Whenever Faustuz sleeps outside, Freud hops right into his master’s arms and lap for comfort and warmth; it’s usually Freud’s only time to be cute and appreciated since he’s constantly scolded for digging up the backyard and making a mess. — #digitaldrawing #digitalart #drawing #ipaddrawing #ipadprodrawing #ipadart #ipadproart #autodesksketchbook #originalcharacter #originalcharacterart #malecharacter #man #dog #blackandwhite #mangastyle #halftone #frauv8_ocs

Who wants to be Number 400? It’s almost there... 🔜 Cedrick is such a dork. (like me😛) - When I first started here in Instagram back around 2017, I had less than 10 Followers. After millions (if not billions) of hours of making pics, I have all 399 of you to thank for putting up with my weirdness and keeping me motivated in working on this crazy project I’ve been doing since 2005-06. Your support is deeply appreciated!🥰 (It’s almost as old as my OC Cedrick...😱) Here’s to 450, 500, or daresay, to 1K? It’d probably take me another three years or more get there.😅 Once again to all of my Followers from all around the world: Thank You, Vielen Dank, Merci Beaucoup, Arigato, Mucho Gracias.
