#childhoodsweethearts Johannes Faustuz Kasper and Freyja Ström #backtoschool.
-
Freyja looks nervous for many reasons: she hasn’t seen him in months due to summer break and working as a teen model, and the boy she likes is finally growing up taller than her.

Tricia Williams and Cedrick Kasper... and Cedrick really looks a lot like his father with that #glare under those #glasses, lol.
-
They look like they could be a #couple, people often ask, and even Tyrone wishes they would go out on dates, but they’re definitely not a couple.
-
The biggest source of their tension is that Tricia often skips out in babysitting her little cousin Queenie for hangouts with her bestie Carmen either at the mall or local cafe, leaving her uncle Tyrone calling up Cedrick to cover for her whenever he’s free from work.
Cedrick is also a few years younger than Tricia (he’s 15 while she’s 18), making her view him as “little spoiled brat” despite him being taller and a wunderkind completely done with school; she also makes fun of him and Hr. Dr. Kasper, which gets her uncle very nervous.
As for Cedrick, he doesn’t think much of her other than irresponsible and capable of doing better if she stops skipping out of babysitting and occasionally school (he tries to help her out with homework, especially since she’s almost done with high school); he tries to avoid her as much as possible to prevent arguments and her teasing, but whenever he does have to be around her, Cedrick tries his best to be as cool-headed like his father.

It’s a digital version of today’s #workdrawing: Cedrick enjoying a nice hot soy pumpkin latte among the #fallleaves. Why soy? Like his father, he’s lactose intolerant. And I can tell you firsthand as a SoCal gal, they are delicious, especially iced.
-
#firstdayoffall means pumpkin spiced drinks, sweaters, and colorful leaves. It’s also my favorite season because #fall food is yummy (I want to go to a real Oktoberfest one day), clothing actually looks good at this time of the year, and it’s not the quite the holiday season yet (I have a good reason to hate the holiday season - my birthday is Christmas Eve and it’s not fun competing with Jesus for attention).

The Beauty and The Bookworm -
Freyja and Johannes Faustuz as children.
-
Freyja always liked Faustuz ever since they met despite her being a rich pretty girl while he’s a poor orphan boy studying his hardest to become a doctor. As to why she likes him, Faustuz still wonders how he got a beautiful wife when he’s such a geek. Maybe it’s their shared love for books, maybe she had pity for him, or maybe she just has the hots for nerdy boys, lol.
-
He’s older than her by about half a year, but at age 10, Faustuz is much shorter than Freyja. Because of his small size, Freyja thinks she can make him grow up faster like a plant by giving him lots of love and food; of course, it just takes a little longer time for him to catch up compared to the other boys. In 3 years he’ll be as tall as her, 5 years he’ll start getting taller than her, and 8 years he’ll be so tall that she’ll miss being able to snatch him up into her arms so easily - it’ll be the opposite with him sweeping her off her feet when they get married.

Close ups of Johannes Faustuz and Cedrick.
They’re very similar, but there are differences between the two Kaspers aside from the frames.

I know I’m suppose to be taking it easy and not do much today after yesterday’s trip to the ER, but I can’t help from working on something and keep being busy. 😫
-
I could say this is a little hint/preview of what my #inktober pics might look like - it’s not a guarantee because I’d be working on many days, which limits what I can do.
I have September’s and October’s #birthflowers drawn here: #cosmos #marigold #calendula #aster #morningglory #forgetmenots
-
And yes, Cedrick has succeeded in taking his father’s shirt this time, still has his new #bowlcut, and is wearing #aviators very similar to what Johannes Faustuz wears.
We’ll see what his father will take from his son’s wardrobe in due time, lol.

Pretty obvious what inspired me to draw this pic - I’m going to @disneyland!
-
Got the whole Kasper family this time, each one dressed up based off a character: Papa as #goofy, Cedrick as #donaldduck, and Mama as #minniemouse with a cute #mickeymouse #tsumtsum in hand.
Of course like many kiddos at Cedrick’s age, it’s so not cool to match with your dorky parents; but he’s definitely very interested in eating that #churro Papa is holding (you can’t resist them there - they’re soooo~ yummy).

It’s practically #fall with stores all stocked up with sweaters - which doesn’t make any sense here in SoCal because it’s still like 💯 degrees outside!
Plus side is that the pumpkin drinks are back (I’m currently in love with Jamba Juice’s pumpkin smash smoothie - it’s so good ~).
-
To celebrate, Mama Kasper gave her boys an update for the #fallfashion season:
Cedrick’s hair is no longer asymmetrical - it’s an even #bowlcut for now; his clothing is also very #kpopfashion inspired, which he’s a big fan of.
Johannes Faustuz still has his long hair in a messy #manbun and #aviators (and has his #heartshirt on again, lol), but with cooler weather on the way, why not grow out a #beard?

Hr. Dr. Kasper wearing the #heartshirt at work - Part 3.
-
It’s his boss and colleague, the hospital director Docteur Leyon DeValuer this time.
-
The director has been Johannes Faustuz’s mentor since he was a wee med student, and is his partner when it comes to advanced lab work (Cedrick will occasionally help out if he’s not busy with operations or sleeping); the two are co-winners of multiple awards, and in this made up universe, are winners of a Noble prize for developing a treatment for cancer that doesn’t involve chemo.
-
Dr. DeValuer often treats the Herr Doktor as a son since he’s close in age to his own son Vincent-Claude; but Dr. DeValuer can also turn face on Hr. Dr. Kasper for whatever reason whether it’s for fun, rivalry, or just to see his protégé suffer in misery (i.e. this year’s World Cup was brutal for Faustuz but pure joy for Leyon).
-
Despite their differences in personalities and nationalities, these two together unite to be the most feared and respected doctors in the hospital: Hr. Dr. Kasper is known for his death glares and strict enforcement of rules, while Dr. DeValuer often sneaks up on people with a cool smile.

Hr. Dr. Kasper wearing the #heartshirt at work - Part 1.
-
The first one to greet him is Dr. Fatima Khan the cardiologist.
And she can’t help but love all the cute little red hearts - it’s her job to take care of hearts, lol.
-
You’d think it’d be Cedrick the first to see his father, but Freyja will be dropping him off later in the day this time (Cedrick isn’t quite old enough to drive on his own yet at age 15).
-
Another fun little detail: Johannes Faustus is wearing Pumas; Cedrick wears Adidas.
It’s a reflection of how the two Hr. Dr. Kaspers can be a bit competitive at the hospital despite being so similar.

Fantasy Concept: Baby Cedrick casting his first spell - and of course it has to be fire. 🔥
Papa Kasper is super proud raising a wunderkind, but is also terrified to know his baby could destroy everything around him if he’s not careful.

Today’s #workdrawing that was finished at home.
-
It’s not often Freyja drops by, making many of Hr. Dr. Kasper’s colleagues at the hospital to think his wife is either very sick and dying or even dead from cancer. So when she does randomly show up, it shocks people - “Grumpy Ol’ Hans” not only has a wife who is very much alive, she’s a world-famous supermodel. Also, he dresses a bit nicer when she’s around, lol.

The one thing Freyja loves more than her husband is reading a good book.

Haven’t done a #digitaldrawing for some time, so here’s one.
-
And it’s a bit morbid with the older Hr. Dr. Kasper looking so serious with his gloved hand covered in #blood. Perhaps it’s a sign that I’m eager for October to come again so I can have my hands covered and dripping with ink like blood (yes, Inktober is a coming~).

Today’s #workdrawing - a random #characterprofile of Papa Kasper. It doesn’t have all the other basic details about him such as his eye/hair color, nationality/ancestry, hometown, and personality type - which are blue/blond, German/Danish, Kiel, and Pessimistic. Johannes Faustuz is my favorite #originalcharacter to draw despite his son Cedrick being the OG since 2006-ish.

Today’s #workdrawing.
This time I decided to digitally ink and color the #sketch with the #sketchbookautodeskapp in my #ipadpro; normally I would have colored it traditionally, but I wanted to experiment.
-
Fantasy Concept: Freyja enjoying time with her newborn son Cedrick. Being a warrior, she spends most of her time hunting for food; her husband Faustuz spends his time studying magic, which also means he stays home taking care of the baby.

Today’s #workdrawing that was finished at home. I’ve just been super tired and busy lately!
-
I’d like to make a series of panels based on the idea of Cedrick always wanting to eat his father’s food at different stages in his life, or of the two fighting over Mama Kasper’s leftovers since they’re always so hungry after a long day at work. So this is technically a warmup to see how I’d draw it out.
