It’s another #dtiyschallenge. @doodling.hard #hotncolddtiys - I’m kinda feeling a little bit sad because right after making my last post thanking 399 people who were following me, it dropped down to 398 (it was actually at 400 when I was making it).😂 It’s actually normal for me to loose Followers at the end/start of the month, more so when I don’t post as much content. I try to mix things up with a #drawthisinyourstylechallenge every now and then, but I’m an OC artist so it’s understandable people won’t be interested in my characters and leave. It’s tough being recognized as an artist of any kind in Social Media, so the fact that I even have more than 💯 people liking my work just makes me happy and motivated to keep drawing. —— #digitalart #digitaldrawing #ipaddrawing #ipadart #autodesksketchbook #pixaloop #animestyle #female #femalecharacters #women #drawthisinyourstyle #dtiys #red #blue

Who wants to be Number 400? It’s almost there... 🔜 Cedrick is such a dork. (like me😛) - When I first started here in Instagram back around 2017, I had less than 10 Followers. After millions (if not billions) of hours of making pics, I have all 399 of you to thank for putting up with my weirdness and keeping me motivated in working on this crazy project I’ve been doing since 2005-06. Your support is deeply appreciated!🥰 (It’s almost as old as my OC Cedrick...😱) Here’s to 450, 500, or daresay, to 1K? It’d probably take me another three years or more get there.😅 Once again to all of my Followers from all around the world: Thank You, Vielen Dank, Merci Beaucoup, Arigato, Mucho Gracias. I wouldn’t be this far without you.😘 —— #digitalart #digitaldrawing #ipaddrawing #ipadart #ipadproart #ipadrodrawing #autodesksketchbook #comic #animestyle #originalcharacters #characterart #malecharacter #femalecharacter #boy #girl #teenagers #frauv8 #frauv8_ocs

It’s been a long time since I’ve had done a #dtiyschallenge. @finelinernerd #finelinernerd35k I also based some of the colors used off of a recent @hellomksurface post, so I guess this is a twosome challenge?🤷🏻‍♀️ Anyway, I’ll be crawling back out of existence again... —— #digitalart #digitaldrawing #female #femalecharacter #woman #blonde #crown #branches #hands #drawthisinyourstyle #dtiys

🎇 EDIT 8 JANUARY 2020: The original comic version of this post is in Archives. I’m trying different things, but I can tell that short one-page comics aren’t liked so much as the full-page animated pics for obvious reasons. Not making comics could be a bit of a challenge since these are my OCs, and they need occasional stories to make them more interesting aside from the commentary added below each post. ————————————————————— ORIGINAL COMMENTARY: Still might be too raunchy for some people, but if you think that’s raunchy, I’m very capable of drawing something even more revealing that it’ll hurt your eyes (not just nudity, but horrible color combinations as well). - Comment below if you want me to restore the original post of the short comic version on my Feed again; otherwise, it tells me to not make anymore short stories (it’s very apparent that people don’t like it when I try something different like comics or drawing exposed bodies🤦🏻‍♀️). I guess it’s literally back to the drawing board called an iPad Pro... And this time I’ll try to plan out something else that’ll takes up more time since I feel like my presence here in Instagram isn’t needed at the moment. - I was trying for a 1980s style for this pic of Freyja - big hair, string bikini, bigger eyes, over-saturated colors, etc. Even in the last slide I gave poor Johannes Faustuz the 1980s anime look (looks like a mullet, but it’s 80s style). —— #digitalart #digitaldrawing #ipaddrawing #ipadart #ipadproart #ipadrodrawing #autodesksketchbook #pixaloop #animestyle #blue #1980sstyle #originalcharacters #characterart #femalecharacter #malecharacter #frauv8 #frauv8_ocs

Freyja is more than happy to show off her family’s brand new weapon to her husband Johannes Faustuz. But he can’t see without his glasses... or can he? 🤔 Freyja likes wearing Faustuz’s aviators as a fashion accessory so he often bumps around until he can find a spare pair of glasses, wears contacts, or uses “Odin’s Eye” to get by. But using his ability makes him prone to exhaustion, leading to irritability and being more grouchy than usual. - Kinda went for a retro 1980s anime style for this one, lol. Freyja’s got big hair while Faustuz has a something like a... mullet? Looks like Freyja is relaxing in the bath staring off to the distance, or she has her eyes on something else... (2nd slide is an older pic from October 2019; adding a bit of color and adding it with this pic makes sense since it’s the same master bathroom) Originally I wanted bubbles floating around, but none of the effects available looked right. Steam was the better option, and ties the two pics together. - I’m seriously obsessed with 2020’s #pantoneclassicblue. I won’t be surprised if I keep using it for the whole year because it’s just an amazing yet basic color that goes with everything. —— #digitaldrawing #digitalart #drawing #ipaddrawing #ipadprodrawing #ipadart #ipadproart #lineart #autodesksketchbook #originalcharacters #originalcharacterart #femalecharacter #malecharacter #blue #bath #shower #mangastyle #animestyle #pixaloop #frauv8_ocs

Happy New Year! 🎆 I’ve been really busy with work, but now with one day off, I managed to draw my main OCs in a cutesy style. - Freyja’s hair color and style here matches more with her original design from 2005, but I overall prefer her with redder hair shown in her current design. Johannes Faustuz is by far my most consistent character based on looks, and Cedrick has become more younger, shorter, and “adorkable” considering the fact that he’s supposed to be about fifteen. - The second slide is a pic of them from early 2018 when I started being more active in Instagram; it’s a realistic style I’m not too fond of, and looking back at it now, the colors are nice but very flat. Also, no cute pets - I love including their pets when I can. - Comment below to let me know what style you like more.🤗 —— #digitalart #digitaldrawing #ipadproart #ipadprodrawing #ipadart #ipaddrawing #drawing #originalcharacters #originalcharacterart #characterdesign #character_design #characters #malecharacters #femalecharacter #family #mother #son #father #doctor #pets #cat #dogs

23 December is Hr. Dr. Kasper’s birthday; it’s also #nationalpfeffernusseday, which there’s a plate of on the table. Johannes Faustuz often locks himself inside a room for long periods of time to avoid human contact until festivities are diminished since he hates the holidays so much (I don’t blame him - my birthday is Christmas Eve and you can’t compete against Jesus and commercialism). When he’s away from everyone else, that’s when Krampus likes to drop by for a visit and eats a snack. Krampus and Faustuz go way back since he was old enough to understand how unlucky the timing of his birth was, and they would have long chats about all kinds of topics every year, sparing him from being punished for being an unhappy child. - Last slide has last year’s drawing, also celebrating Papa Kasper’s birthday (he doesn’t officially turn 40 until 2021; he was born in 1981). Also included line art - tag #frauv8colorthisin @frauv8 if you want to color it in. ——— #digitalart #digitaldrawing #ipadart #ipadproart #ipaddrawing #ipadprodrawing #autodesksketchbook #originalcharacters #malecharacter #man #krampus #red #green #holidayseason

This left Aunt Yoko alone with Johannes Faustuz. Yoko really wanted patriarch Olaf to take care of Faustuz when he was orphaned as a toddler; Heinrich didn’t want their nephew to be raised by “a xenophobic man who still believes in the old ways”. Reluctantly, Yoko continues raising Faustuz just as her husband wanted. For Johannes Faustuz, bullying from his classmates gets worse, leading him to constant fights and suspensions. Because he can’t go back to school, Faustuz is stuck with Yoko at the public library where she works. There he easily reads up on all kinds of knowledge and literature - and meets Freyja (she was a Swedish foreign exchange student in his class, but never approached him because everyone else told her that “Hothead Hans” is trouble). - Skip ahead to December 23rd. Since it’s during the holiday season, only Yoko, Hansel, and Hannah were there for his 11th birthday. Not able to afford much, they bought a new pair of glasses to replace his broken ones; Hannah also baked Neapolitan cupcakes since they’re not red and green. But it wasn’t any of his family’s gifts that caused tears of joy - it was a folded piece of white paper mailed to him. Freyja’s handwriting in the front wishes him a happy birthday, originally in Swedish but then crossed out and rewritten so he can understand; inside it reads “I’m sorry that I can only send you a card, but I didn’t want you to have nothing from anyone from school. To make it up, I’ll make sure you get a really big Valentine’s Day present. I’ll see you either in class or at the library after New Year’s Day.” (Keep “a really big Valentine’s Day present” in mind for a future pic of Freyja and Faustuz) —— #digitaldrawing #digitalart #drawing #ipaddrawing #ipadprodrawing #ipadart #ipadproart #autodesksketchbook #originalcharacter #originalcharacterart #malecharacter #boy #cupcake #birthday #mangastyle #animestyle #pixaloop #frauv8_ocs

🎵Have yourselves a merry Scandinavian Christmas🎄🎶 I don’t think this can get anymore Hygge and Christmasy, lol. Seeing Freyja and Johannes Faustuz all cuddled up together with Frl. Flicka makes me want a cup of hot cocoa right now. - Since the Kaspers are Scandinavian (she’s Swedish and he’s German of Danish ancestry), everything in their home combines both ideas of Hygge and Lagom. “Hygge” is the Danish term for warmth and happiness in the simple things in life; the Swedish “Lagom” concept is all about living with the right amount of stuff without being too excessive. - I have the line art in the 3rd slide for anyone who wants to color it in.
