Like Tricia, 55F/13C is #freezing for most people here in SoCal. Even 65F/18C is considered #cold for some people I know at work (which I think is crazy because I think it’s perfect 😎). Me? Hmm... I’d start complaining when it gets below 40F/4C, which happens to be about the same temperature inside the production truck I work in during the winter. I don’t mind the cold during the day; it’s just when the sun goes down or when I’m stuck inside for work is when I start getting uncomfortable, especially if I’m not wearing the right clothes. And I know there’s colder than 40F/4C - it’s snowed here once four years ago, and even that is obviously not the coldest it can get. There’s always someplace else that’s much colder. For Cedrick, his hometown Kiel borders Scandinavia where it’s definitely freezing. — #digitalart #digitaldrawing #comicpage #autodesksketchbook #originalcharacters #malecharacter #femalecharacter #teenagers #fauxfurcoat #tanktop #ipadproart #ipaddrawing

I guess this is the end? Maybe one more? Either way, I’m TIRED! 😴 And #thanksgiving is pretty much over now that people are overly excited about Christmas (I’m not - it’s a big reminder that I’m getting older since my birthday is Christmas Eve). - Tyrone looks like he’s getting over his fear of cutting into former living things, especially with chanting what his coworker had told him. And Tricia is actually quite a bully, especially towards Cedrick - she doesn’t play nice and thinks Cedrick is a total nerd. She also calls him Dutch when he’s Deutsch. — #digitalart #digitaldrawing #comics #comic #ipadproart #ipadprodrawing #autodesksketchbook #originalcharacteros #africanamerican #family #father #uncle #niece #daughter #thanksgiving #thanksgivingturkey #turkey #phone #knife #cuttingturkey

Page 7. At least one more page to go ~ Most likely one more page with a conclusion pic of some kind. - And based on my research, the proper way to carve a turkey is cutting off the whole legs first, then separate the thighs from the drumsticks, slice off the breasts, and lastly the wings with the wishbone. — #digitalart #digitaldrawing #comics #comic #ipadproart #ipadprodrawing #autodesksketchbook #originalcharacters #africanamerican #family #phone #conversation

Page 6. And Cedrick is speaking English, just in technical terms, lol. Maybe it’s just his accent that make it all sound so foreign. Tyrone should really be able to understand all that, but he’s under a lot of stress and most likely forgot what the pectoris major is. — #digitalart #digitaldrawing #comics #comic #ipadproart #ipadprodrawing #autodesksketchbook #originalcharacters #malecharacters #conversation #turkey

Page 5. The Kaspers obviously don’t celebrate #thanksgiving because they’re not American; therefore, turkey to them is just an overrated roasted bird. Personally, I’m not too fond of it because I find it too dry and blah, plus it’s so much stress cooking one. — #digitalart #digitaldrawing #comics #comic #ipadproart #ipadprodrawing #autodesksketchbook #originalcharacters #malecharacters #phoneconversation

Page 4. Cedrick really does looks like his father whenever he wears glasses... Anyway, Tyrone finally got hold of him. — #digitalart #digitaldrawing #comics #comic #ipadproart #ipadprodrawing #autodesksketchbook #originalcharacters #malecharacters #thanksgiving #phoneconversation

Page 3. - Tyrone could of just Googled “how to carve a turkey,” but nope. Why look it up when you have a coworker who cuts open humans for a living? — #digitalart #digitaldrawing #comics #comic #ipadproart #ipadprodrawing #autodesksketchbook #originalcharacters #africanamerican #family #phone

Page 2. Sorry for turning the turkey into nightmare fuel, lol. - Despite being a doctor, Tyrone hates cutting into things. He actually fainted in medical school while he had to observe the dissecting of a cadaver. Hence that’s one major reason why he became a pediatrician - children are much cuter and livelier than dead bodies. — #digitalart #digitaldrawing #comics #comic #ipadproart #ipadprodrawing #autodesksketchbook #originalcharacters #africanamerican #wife #husband #thanksgivingturkey #turkey

#thanksgiving is around the corner here in America, so everyone is all excited for the food. I’m working that day, but at least I’ll get home early enough to eat. - I guess I’m doing this - I gotta be committed to the end. It’s based off a short skit I made last year: it’s Tyrone, my American character enjoying his day off from work with his family; this version has his niece Tricia in it. And don’t worry - the two Kaspers won’t steal the show. It’s all about Doctor Tyrone Williams this time. — #digitalart #digitaldrawing #comics #comic #ipadproart #ipadprodrawing #autodesksketchbook #originalcharacters #africanamerican #family #thanksgivingturkey #turkey

It’s #nationalbossesday today. If you have an awesome #boss, tell him/her thanks for an awesome job! 👏 - For my #originalcharacters who work at the hospital, the director Docteur Leyon DeValeur is their very enigmatic boss who appears when you least expect it. And when he starts speaking to you in his native French, you know he’s really keeping a close eye on you. Other than that, he’s a very nice guy compared to his protégé Hr. Dr. Kasper. — #digitalart #digitaldrawing #ipadprodrawing #autodesksketchbook #orginalcharacter #malecharacter #doctor #sitting #sittingdown #desk #work

Haven’t made anything digitally in a while - and the rain is keeping me up (it has been pouring with thunder and lightning in SoCal). - Anyway, it’s the 13th of October and it’s a special day - it’s my #originalcharacter Cedrick’s birthday! 🎉 He was born via emergency c-section, weighing at about 6 lbs (2.7 kg) and measuring a bit more than a foot (33 cm). His birth was damaging on Freyja, which is why he’s an only child; he was also born when Faustuz just started his career as a doctor, making it difficult for him to take care of his newborn son. But a surprise occurs: Freyja’s father Erik decides to make up with his daughter after finding out she had been in the hospital. - It’s not a very good #digitaldrawing, just something quick since I’m still working and I’m tired. — #digitalart #ipadproart #ipadprodrawing #autodesksketchbook #fatherson #father #babyboy #originalcharacters

#inktober #flower pic no.7 - #daisy - The flower of faith which many love-stricken people have plucked out its petals to determine the one they admire loves them back. Many children also make them into chains and wear them on their heads for fun. These flowers are commonly white and yellow, but can come in other colors. They’re also used in tea, its leaves eaten in salads, and ancient doctors used it for medicine. - It’s Freyja again, hoping her beloved Johannes Faustuz would love her back (of course he would). The two are often separated due to their careers (she’s a supermodel; he’s a doctor/scientist), so often she gets anxious being apart from him for long periods of time. - This might be the last #drawing for a while since I’ll be back to work tomorrow. I might be able to sneak in other pic - we’ll see. — #originalcharacterdrawing #originalcharacter #originalcharacterart #femalecharacter #moleskinecahier #moleskine #sketchbook #inkart #inkartwork #inkdrawing #pilotpen #fountainpen #pentel #pentelpen #tradio #sharpie #sharpiemarker #pickingpetals #inlove

He won’t be that short for too long, lol. It’s no wonder why Faustuz is always so stoic and death glares at people as an adult - literally everyone always had looked down on him most of his childhood, and it doesn’t help being the class geek either. - Another old pic from last year: the #childhoodsweethearts Freyja and Johannes Faustuz. - I’ve been bogged down with work lately, which concerns me a bit with Inktober coming up. What I might have to do is cram 7 drawings in the few days I have off per week. 😬 We’ll see what happens - life right now has been tiring. — #digitalart #digitaldrawing #wacomdrawing #originalcharacters #originalcharacterdrawing #boygirl #girlboy #girl #boy #couple #children #throwbackdrawing #olddrawing

The Beauty and The Bookworm - Freyja and Johannes Faustuz as children. - Freyja always liked Faustuz ever since they met despite her being a rich pretty girl while he’s a poor orphan boy studying his hardest to become a doctor. As to why she likes him, Faustuz still wonders how he got a beautiful wife when he’s such a geek. Maybe it’s their shared love for books, maybe she had pity for him, or maybe she just has the hots for nerdy boys, lol. - He’s older than her by about half a year, but at age 10, Faustuz is much shorter than Freyja. Because of his small size, Freyja thinks she can make him grow up faster like a plant by giving him lots of love and food; of course, it just takes a little longer time for him to catch up compared to the other boys. In 3 years he’ll be as tall as her, 5 years he’ll start getting taller than her, and 8 years he’ll be so tall that she’ll miss being able to snatch him up into her arms so easily - it’ll be the opposite with him sweeping her off her feet when they get married. — #digitalart #digitaldrawing #ipadproart #ipadprodrawing #speeddrawing #originalcharacters #originalcharacterart #originalcharacterdrawing #children #boygirl #girlboy #boy #girl #couple #childhoodsweethearts #hug #hugging #bookworm #beautyandthebookworm

Ugh... Kimiko isn’t going to be enough to put an IV needle in; she’ll need the other nurse Bernadette to help, and then finally Cedrick to get it in with one go, lol. - I had a bit of a health scare last night that my fiancé had to take me to ER; I’m home from work just for today (doctor’s orders 😞). What happened I was driving home from work, and I had a sudden headache; my right side of my face and right arm was gradually going numb, which is super weird. So just to make sure it wasn’t a stroke or anything else serious, we went to the hospital. What the neurologist and doctor think happened was a complex migraine, in which numbness can occur if triggered; doesn’t help with the stress of commuting and working so many days straight and not sleeping enough - I’m a certified workaholic. - #needles are the worst, yet I’m just so over them at the same time with the number of times I’ve had to be poked and stabbed over the years, lol. I don’t mind shots or blood work, but freaking IVs I absolutely hate. It took not one, not two, BUT THREE PEOPLE to get an IV in me last night; they poked and stabbed both arms, and of course it was the guy who got it in his first stab (I don’t know if it’s just me, but male nurses, doctors, and lab techs seem better with needles; not being sexist, but it’s just personal experience). So my left elbow area has a nice little bruise that’ll be there for some time. *sigh* - Anyway, I’m feeling better now, but they did warn me if it does happen again, I’ll need a MRI done since the CT scans were clear. — #digitaldrawing #digitalart #ipadprodrawing #autodesksketchbook #originalcharacters #femalecharacter #malecharacter #doctor #nurse

Hr. Dr. Kasper wearing the #heartshirt at work - Part 5. (Maybe the end?) - And finally it’s Cedrick, his teenage son who works with him. And apparently the younger Hr. Dr. Kasper is jealous and wants the shirt for himself, lol. And it looks like he got a haircut - he traded the bun for a bowl for now. - These two often act more like brothers, and with Cedrick quickly catching up with his father in height and starting to sound just like him as his voice matures, people get the two mixed up. So it makes sense they try not to look alike as much as possible, but it doesn’t always work. — #digitalart #digitalartwork #digitaldrawing #ipadproart #ipadprodrawing #autodesksketchbook #sketchbookautodesk #sketchbookapp #originalcharacters #orginalcharacterdrawing #originalcharacterart #doctors #malecharacters #fatherson

Hr. Dr. Kasper wearing the #heartshirt at work - Part 4. (Specifically it’s a #jwandersonheartstripeshirt, lol) - It’s Kimiko Abe the nursing student this time. And what young lady these days wouldn’t be into #kpop (specifically #BTS, lol). Plus Johannes Faustus tries his best to divert her attention back to work instead of his shirt (and admiration for the band). - Kimiko is from Yokohama, Japan studying nursing abroad; she’s extremely shy, skittish, and often is klutzy. She does have a tiny bit of a crush on the Herr Doktor, so often she tries to impress him with little notice; as for the other Hr. Dr. Kasper, she hates Cedrick and is jealous of him for being so perfect with little effort. — #digitalart #digitalartwork #digitaldrawing #ipadproart #ipadprodrawing #autodesksketchbook #sketchbookautodesk #sketchbookapp #originalcharacters #orginalcharacterdrawing #originalcharacterart #doctor #malecharacter #femalecharacter #holdingphone

Hr. Dr. Kasper wearing the #heartshirt at work - Part 3. - It’s his boss and colleague, the hospital director Docteur Leyon DeValuer this time. - The director has been Johannes Faustuz’s mentor since he was a wee med student, and is his partner when it comes to advanced lab work (Cedrick will occasionally help out if he’s not busy with operations or sleeping); the two are co-winners of multiple awards, and in this made up universe, are winners of a Noble prize for developing a treatment for cancer that doesn’t involve chemo. - Dr. DeValuer often treats the Herr Doktor as a son since he’s close in age to his own son Vincent-Claude; but Dr. DeValuer can also turn face on Hr. Dr. Kasper for whatever reason whether it’s for fun, rivalry, or just to see his protégé suffer in misery (i.e. this year’s World Cup was brutal for Faustuz but pure joy for Leyon). - Despite their differences in personalities and nationalities, these two together unite to be the most feared and respected doctors in the hospital: Hr. Dr. Kasper is known for his death glares and strict enforcement of rules, while Dr. DeValuer often sneaks up on people with a cool smile. — #digitalart #digitalartwork #digitaldrawing #ipadproart #ipadprodrawing #autodesksketchbook #sketchbookautodesk #sketchbookapp #originalcharacters #originalcharacterart #malecharacters #doctors #francejersey

Hr. Dr. Kasper wearing the #heartshirt at work - Part 2. - The person he dreads meeting with whenever he’s wearing something new or something different - Dr. Tyrone Williams the pediatrician. - Tyrone actually used to be a student of the Herr Doktor when he was a substitute professor for Dr. DeValuer, and ever since then he’s always a bit of the prankster towards him. But Tyrone does admire him, so much that he often asks for advice on how to be a good father. Johannes Faustuz often tries to add in advice about marriage, but it’s often ignored since Tyrone thinks his mentor is a single father; it’s not until much later in a very awkward moment when Tyrone finds out who Hr. Dr. Kasper’s missus is. — #digitalart #digitalartwork #digitaldrawing #ipadproart #ipadprodrawing #autodesksketchbook #sketchbookautodesk #sketchbookapp #originalcharacters #originalcharacterart #malecharacters #doctors #jwandersonheartstripeshirt #heartstripeshirt
