Kaspers usually don’t like cats because they often chase away spirits, small mythical creatures, and souls that need capturing (why they normally have dogs), but cats are drawn to them and show them affection despite their antics. Hr. Tatzelwurms are not to be messed with - they look cute, but they’re extremely vicious and destructive to both plants and Reapers alike. They’re drawn to the scent of rare plants and minerals in the earth, causing them to dig them up and burrow nearby to produce large litters. After countless times getting torn apart and patched up, and Sigrid not very happy about the method of extermination, Richard ponders on creating a repellent to keep Tatzelwurms out of Aina’s backyard. Initially Sigrid hated it, but when it means not having to deal with bullies, not riding her bike over five miles one way, a free trip to the university library, and some rounds at the arcade, she quickly took the offer. And as their relationship grew, Sigrid looked forward to having conversations about the latest video games and reaching over to eject his disco cassettes to listen to the latest hits on the radio (Sigrid mostly loves Synth-Pop). • Sigrid studies really hard - she’s the top student at her academy despite not being a “pure” enchantress (she and Aina can’t cast spells on their own and have to rely on plants). But she has her struggles - she’s not very good with English and Mathematics, and if she’s overwhelmed, Sigrid will fall asleep.
