Richard caught another Tatzelwurm, this time it’s a baby one (they range from 1-7ft/0.3-2m long). Whatever Aina has in her garden in the backyard, Tatzelwurms are drawn to it (she does grow rare plants); Tatzelwurms are known to cause havoc wherever there’s significant resources nearby. Richard knows he has to kill the Tatzelwurm or else Aina’s livelihood is destroyed, but with Sigrid around, he has to be discreet about it (he doesn’t like killing in front of females, nor could Sigrid stomach anything so cruel - which she had unfortunately saw Richard do once). — #autodesksketchbook #digitalart #digitaldrawing #originalcharacterart #originalcharacters #couple #malecharacter #femalecharacter #tatzelwurm #mythicalcreatures #ipaddrawing #frauv8_ocs

Hr. Dr. Kasper’s quirky grandmother, Sigrid’s mother Aina. Aina always kept her past a secret, not saying who was Sigrid’s father, why she changed her last name, how she came to own an oddities and flower shop, etc. Aina is albino, adding to her eccentric character that many fear; she’s often called a witch due to her vast knowledge of spells, potions, medicines, repellents, and cures. Because of this, her only child Sigrid was often teased mercilessly by peers (aside from Sigrid’s love for video games, simple attire, and timid behavior). Aina still lives and works at her flower shop in Copenhagen, Denmark making the same potions and repellents she did for Richard, only this time it’s her grandson Johannes Faustuz using them. — #autodesksketchbook #femalecharacter #characterdesign #charactersheet #originalcharacter #originalcharacterart #woman #digitalart #digitaldrawing

It’s Christmas!🎄 Hopefully everyone is hunkered down and staying safe/healthy this time around. Taking a break from the humans with the Kaspers’ oversized orange fluffball of a cat Klimt. As cute and cuddly as he is, Klimt has been a little monster this year almost eating up little mythical creatures, drinking out of Papa Kasper’s coffee mug, sitting on laptops and tablets during Zoom sessions, and destroying the toilet paper supply in peak quarantine. — #happyholidays #merrychristmas #holidayseason #ornament #norwegianforestcat #orangecat #cat #orange #red #yellow #green #pixaloop #motionleap #autodesksketchbook #ipaddrawing #digitalart #digitaldrawing

Sigrid is the young Danish schoolgirl under Death’s watch thru the odd-eyed grim reaper Richard Kasper. Sigrid wasn’t initially impressed with Richard’s advances, especially knowing his reputation as a playboy, being much older than her, and coming from a family infamous for their involvement with dark historical moments; but over time with his frequent visits, Sigrid grew more comfortable and attached to her unusual suitor, agreeing to marry him after curing his bout of lovesickness. The pair were unpopular in the sight of many with people assuming that Richard was taking advantage of the teenage girl, but the two were inseparable and deeply in love. Sigrid barely lived long enough to give birth to their son Johannes on 23 December 1981, before Death decided that it was time to collect her soul; Richard was left behind inconsolable and falling seriously ill before he eventually died two years later to join her (this is why Johannes Faustuz hates the holiday season, often spending the whole week locked up alone in his room in silence). — #femalecharacter #originalcharacter #originalcharacterart #charcterdesign #digitalart #digitaldrawing #ipaddrawing #autodesksketchbook #red #blue #brown #frauv8_ocs

I guess I’ll start with Richard with the Kaspers’ “OC Closer Looks” (I’ve done it for the Ströms and Williamses). - Richard is the younger of two sons, but due to familial circumstances, he became the heir of the Kasper legacy as a Grim Reaper and monster slayer. He’s known as a playboy with a crafty wit and hot temper, but with a loyal heart and affection to his family (as all Kaspers are). Recently Death gave him a report of a Danish schoolgirl nearing the end of her life due a life curse, sending him to observe her as an act of mercy; Richard immediately fell in love with the girl, vowing to care for her until Death collects her soul. — #malecharacter #originalcharacter #originalcharacterart #man #characterdesign #autodesksketchbook #ipaddrawing #digitalart #digitaldrawing #brown #yellow #frauv8_ocs

Don’t worry - I’ll be back on the Chickcarney project soon enough ... November 1981: Aina, Sigrid, and Richard on their way back from the grocery store. Richard is wearing his grey wolf fur coat while Sigrid is looking a lot rounder this time, and it’s not only because of her constant consumption of ice cream cones. Aina is Sigrid’s mother, known as “The Witch of Copenhagen” due to her exotic flowers, extensive collection of herbal medicine and potions, eccentric behavior, and striking appearance (she’s albino). Aina and Sigrid are very close, though Aina can get a bit nosy and often teases Sigrid whenever she’s trying to process something new; despite that, Aina is very supportive of her daughter and tries her best to get Sigrid out of her shell and experience the World - especially with a life curse placed on her by her own father cutting her life down to less than twenty years to live. It was Aina who encouraged both Richard and Sigrid to get together despite what society had to say (Richard is almost 8 years older than Sigrid, raising a lot of eyebrows seeing a teenage girl with an older man); she could tell Richard was tired living life as a traveling playboy while her daughter Sigrid needed someone experienced to guide her and push her to live to the fullest. — #autodesksketchbook #malecharacter #femalecharacter #mother #daughter #husband #woman #man #couple #family #digitalart #digitaldrawing #originalcharacter #originalcharacterart

Cedrick’s notes on the “Chickcarney” (also spelled #chickcarnie and #chickcarnee). “ The (Andros) Chickcarney: An owl-cat-like creature from the Andros region of the Bahamas that dwells in pine trees. Page 3 - Asia usually doesn’t want to do anything with Hr. Dr. Kasper (she still holds a grudge against him for spending more time with Tyrone than she gets with him pre-pandemic days; she’s also not amused with Faustuz having “a very questionable background”), but because Queenie thinks of him as an uncle, she’s reaching out to him. Lucky for her, the Kaspers happen to be well versed with Cryptozoology and mythical creatures. Tyrone thinks it’s manageable to own a pet, especially one without fur, but Asia isn’t taking chances with their niece Tricia allergic to animals. — #originalcharacter #originalcharacterart #man #autodesksketchbook #comic #digitalart #digitaldrawing #blackandwhite #halftone #femalecharacter #malecharacter #chickcharney #mangast@

Day 31: Grim Reaper - #happyhalloween! The last outfit for 2020’s digital Inktober: Hr. Dr. Kasper in Grim Reaper attire. If anyone else aside from family, close friends, and other people involved with Death, mythical creatures, and the occult see him as a reaper, most likely they wouldn’t be around much longer - he’s often quick to identify his targets and take them out on their own terms (unless specified by Death himself; then he’s given the green light to kill by any means, and usually it’s not pretty). His weapons of choice are scythes and medical instruments made of mythic metals by Ström Corporations, his wife’s family’s business. Currently Johannes Faustuz is the only Kasper taking side jobs from Death, but Cedrick has been itching to make his debut working alongside his father just as he normally does in the hospital; both Freyja and her father Erik aren’t too enthusiastic with Cedrick becoming a reaper, hoping he would reconsider and join the Ström side of the family to become an occult weapons expert instead. Since residing in Los Angeles, he’s encountered another Grim Reaper: Officer Granger Rodriguez; occasionally the two will work together if Death has a though case in hand, but normally avoid each other as much as possible, even when working in their respective day jobs as a doctor and police officer. Granger also doesn’t like sharing her home turf with foreign reapers, but over time she has developed a liking for Johannes Faustuz and nicknamed him “Juanito”. — #autodesksketchbook #malecharacter #digitalart #digitaldrawing #originalcharacter #originalcharacterart #man #inktober #inktober2020 #clothing #outfit #scythe #grimreaper #halloween #blacksuit #blackoutfit #outfitoftheday #digitalink

Day 30: Full Doctor’s Attire 2 - PPE - This is what many doctors and nurses are wearing right now while working hard to save lives; they still desperately need help getting the proper equipment to fight the pandemic, especially now with Winter coming. Hr. Dr. Kasper usually only wore PPE in the operating room, but with COVID-19, it became an everyday outfit until his oncology ward was converted for more beds and he was furloughed for reasons (elective surgeries constantly postponed, having a mental breakdown, staff reduction at the hospital due to lack of finances, the boss finding out that he’s a Grim Reaper, etc.). It’s not really known when he’ll work again at the hospital (both he and Cedrick want to), but whenever he does, he’ll be wearing this outfit until the unforeseeable future. — #autodesksketchbook #malecharacter #digitalart #digitaldrawing #originalcharacter #originalcharacterart #man #inktober #inktober2020 #clothing #outfit #doctor #ppe #outfitoftheday #digitalink

Day 27: Scrubs 1 - Black - Hr. Dr. Kasper mostly wore black scrubs, sometimes with a white lab coat on top, when he worked at the hospital for triage; with this attire combined with his uncanny ability to predict a person’s lifespan, Hr. Dr. Kasper was given the nickname “The White Reaper” by coworkers. Even though he really is a Grim Reaper, Johannes Faustuz prefers saving lives with his surgical skills and lab experiments. — #autodesksketchbook #malecharacter #digitalart #digitaldrawing #originalcharacter #originalcharacterart #man #inktober #inktober2020 #clothing #outfit #doctor #scrubs #outfitoftheday #digitalink

Hr. Dr. Richard Kasper & Sigrid Faustus Copenhagen, Denmark Circa Oct.-Nov. 1980 🇩🇰 - Richard returns from the Kasper Family Estate in Kiel, Germany to reunite with his beloved Sigrid for the weekend; Richard tried to visit Aina’s flower shop/house every week after taking care of family business (soul reaping for Death) and clients who ask for his services to exterminate and/or relocate unwanted creatures, but was often gone up to two-three months at time busy with work. Richard was determined to spend as much time with Sigrid as possible due to her life curse (it was placed by her father, reducing her life span to less than twenty years). Richard was known for wearing a huge oversized grey fur coat during the Fall and Winter months, putting a lot more attention on him whenever he’s around the neighborhood; Sigrid didn’t like the extra attention whenever Richard was around wearing his coat (as well as certain other outfits), especially when people referred her mother as “Witch” and classmates ridiculed her love of video games, being extremely smart, and wearing plain attire. People found them a rather odd couple due to Richard’s questionable occupation/background and Sigrid’s young age, but Sigrid’s mother Aina couldn’t been more happy seeing her daughter have the chance to live her life to the fullest. - As for Richard’s fur coat today, his son Johannes Faustuz inherited it, set aside in the darkest part of his closet; in rare occasions, he will wear it on top of a formal suit when the weather is extremely freezing outside (Hr. Dr. Kasper thinks it’s a gaudy thing to wear, and doesn’t like the fact it’s made of real grey wolf fur). —— #autodesksketchbook #digitalart #digitaldrawing #malecharacter #femalecharacter #couple #kiss #originalcharacterart #originalcharacter #originalcharacters #red #yellow #brown #black #white

Hr. Dr. Kasper dressed up as a Grim Reaper, or “Juanito” as his fellow grim reaper Granger Rodriguez calls him. 2nd Slide is a cute bonus (still doesn’t reveal whether if he’s right or left handed; Cedrick and Freyja are officially left-handed, while Faustuz appears to be right-handed in most pics but he’s equally flexible with both), and 3rd Slide is another version of his Grim Reaper attire. — I might be a little bit early for Halloween and Dia de Los Muertos to be drawing this...😅 But I love drawing creepy things from time to time... And in black and white too, which is technically digital ink work that could be ideal for Inktober this year... - I plan on drawing Granger in her grim reaper attire which will be heavily sugar skull inspired, as well as Cedrick with Frl. Glimpse into the dark side of the Kaspers’ family business... I don’t usually draw them in the act of dealing with monsters and stuff related to Death. Richard just got rid of a Siren unfortunately in front of Sigrid. Even though she’s also involved with the world of the mythical and occult, she’s an “herbal healer” (euphemism for “Witch“) like her mother Aina who prefers not killing creatures no matter how rouge they’ve become (they use potions instead as repellent and cures); Richard is well aware how sensitive she is when she sees something dead (she cries over wilted flowers), trying his best to shield her from his work as much as possible. - As monster slayers and grim reapers, Kaspers try their best to not let their significant others have to witness their work if they’re not involved with the same type of business. Freyja is involved with occult weapons making, so she enjoys working with her husband Faustuz as much as possible to see how effective her family’s handiwork is against monsters and the occasional human. Yoko was indifferent when Heinrich resumed the job of reaping with his father Olaf after Richard died - until he brought Faustuz to assist them at only age five (Yoko was extremely pissed - Heinrich never had their son Hansel fight for his life against monsters, so why would he do that to his brother’s only child?). — #digitalart #digitaldrawing #ipaddrawing #lineart #halftone #autodesksketchbook #sketchbookautodesk #animestyle #couple #malecharacter #femalecharacter #originalcharacter #originalcharacters

Another point of view of “The Doghouse”. I couldn’t choose which version, so I just put all three in one post with the line art (4 slides total). - With Freyja using his personal study for her live videos and blogs, Hr. Dr. Kasper teaches Biology 101 using an old iPad Pro with Zoom in the indoor patio room where all the critters and houseplants reside (both agreed that their bedroom is a place that stays private). Quick #charactersheet of Officer Rodriguez and Hr. Dr. Kasper. Hopefully my cursive is readable (I’ll write it all down in separate comments below). Slide 2 is an old pic from May 2018. — How did these two first characters meet? Granger was actually on patrol duty when Johannes Faustuz was out chasing after lost souls late at night. Initially she thought he was a mentally ill person on the loose, so she tackled him, handcuffed him, and stuffed him into the back of her tiny car. It wasn’t until she saw the glowing odd-colored eyes Granger realized she not only caught a Grim Reaper like herself, but a rare monster slayer of legends; she felt even more ashamed when she found out he’s also a doctor from her local hospital. Poor Faustuz had to be picked up by his father-in-law after Granger released him (you can imagine what that conversation was like when they hate each other); it’s also why whenever he hears police sirens nearby on the street, he gets panic attacks, afraid he’d be tackled, shoved into a tiny space, and taken away to an unknown location (pretty relevant right now for lots of people...😑) - Since then, their paths cross often since they both live/work in the Los Angeles area; occasionally they collaborate, but Granger doesn’t like newcomers encroaching on her home turf (she hasn’t met Cedrick yet, so...) Granger also refers to the Herr Doktor as “Juanito”, which he absolutely hates (“Juanito” is like saying “Johnny Boy” - it’s a nickname of endearment; “Johannes” is an original version of “John”, which is “Juan” in Spanish, so it’s actually an accurate nickname for him). —— #digitalart #digitaldrawing #ipadproart #ipadprodrawing #sketchbookautodesk #autodesksketchbook #originalcharacter #characterdesign #malecharacter #femalecharacter #frauv8_ocs
