Going back to Late Summer 1979 with Richard and Sigrid (Faustuz’s parents). It’s hard to say which “package” poor Sigrid is looking at. Maybe the Tiffany blue box? 😅 - Soft brushes again... 😑 I prefer using hard brushes when drawing and coloring because it feels more finished and pops out more compared to soft brushes. It’s actually easier to color and shade with soft brushes since they blend into each other, but there’s something about using hard brushes and halftone when I’m coloring and shading... Oh well - it’s more practice with the anti-characteristics of my artwork. Soft pencil and marker brushes with pastel colors this time; not my forte, but it’s good practice. Also looks like Papa Kasper’s glasses are fogging up, but at least the Herr Doktor and his son are wearing their masks correctly over their mouths and noses. 🚨RANT ALERT 🚨 Don’t ask how many people at work I see that don’t cover their noses. NOSES ARE VIRAL SUPER-SPREADERS! COVER THEM UP! 😷 Seriously - we had all the scientific proof that masks, hand washing, social distancing, and lockdowns worked a century ago with the 1918 (NOT F-CKING 1917!) Pandemic, so we should of bagged COVID-19 in months (the 1918 Pandemic took 2 years to recover from, but keep in mind they didn’t have any of the medical tech we have so millions got sick and died; had we done all the things to reduce a pandemic early on, we probably wouldn’t have as many people sick and dead). But at the rate things are going with idiots running around in the world, it’s going to be YEARS before it’ll be “normal” again. I think my eyes hurt from staring at this guy for too long...😭 Doesn’t help that I also stay up past Midnight for multiple nights.😫 - Besides looking all pretty in pink, Hr. Dr. Kasper has plenty of pour-over coffee and traditional sweets for himself on the side: Baumkuchen, Prinsesstårten, and Strudel. Both Johannes Faustuz and Cedrick have “Odin’s Eye” which requires a lot of energy to maintain, so often father and son will fight over snacks and caffeine when they’re available. Most of the time Papa Kasper gives up for the sake of his son’s needs over his (as any parent would do, plus Cedrick is quickly catching up with him on size as a teenager), making him at high risk of being an easily irritable hangry monster around other people (he’s not called “Hot-Headed Hans” for no reason). — These kind of pics take a LONG time to make - even longer if I put more painful effort of shading and lighting. Part of the time it’s gathering references, other times it’s picking and playing with color schemes (that’s why there’s a bonus cyan blue version here), but it’s mostly the drawing and coloring process that takes so long (especially the drawing when there’s tiny details). - One of them days this old millennial here have to play with REELS using video versions of my pics just for funzies (because why not 😛). Nobody wants to do any challenges I make anyway.😛 - I hadn’t been posting much due to work trying to make up for lost time; I’m there from about 10:30am to 7:30pm 3-4 times a week, so I’m pretty much wiped out at the end of a day. I work for TV/Simulcast (I’m a Graphics Operator; basically I make those things on the screen that displays names, prices, results, etc.), so I’m considered “Essential”. You can say I’m keeping people entertained while they stay safe and quarantine at home, lol. It’s not a job I can work remotely, so... yeah... I’m doing my best being safe with lots of sanitizer and wearing my mask (a face shield might not be a bad idea since I work in a small space). I’m really in a black, white, and grey/gray mood with my pics lately. Maybe because the world to me right now is just so bland and dark. But that doesn’t explain why these two guys are smiling. Perhaps there’s still a little glimmer of hope in my outlook of life in an age of pandemic and oppression. - I included the original in colored versions in the post. And I just can’t unsee Johannes Faustuz resembling the character Charlotte from “DARK” with his hair down. 😟 (“DARK” is amazing!
