It’s another experiment with the #mentalcanvas app. ^^💛
I’m much happier with this pic using the app’s effects, but the thing is that I got lazy not coloring this in - and I’d would of gone insane if I had because of all the details I’d want and need to put in, and I’m still frustrated trying to get the black frame to be just right on the outside…😵💫
I even recycled an old pic of Richard’s hotel room to provide a background.
I included a version with his girlfriend Sigrid (3rd Slide).
•••
It’s back to the early 1980s with Richard testing out his homemade computer in the hotel room he rents out from distant relatives while he’s staying at Copenhagen to see Sigrid and occasionally work at the university (the Kaspers homeland is Jutland which is currently split between Denmark and Germany, so the overall family is scattered across the two countries).
“Zimmer 13” is the reserved room for the patriarch of Kasper Family at the hotel, and as the current heir (after his older brother Heinrich gave up his right to marry Yoko) Richard gets access to it during travels across Northern Europe and Scandinavia; it’s also the same room where Richard and Sigrid would sneak away to avoid Aina and others whenever they want a moment alone.👀

It’s November - or #movember with the emphasis on mustaches.🥸
There’s only one OCs that immediately comes to mind when it comes to mustaches:
Einar Ström - Freyja‘s favorite cousin and lovely co-host of her TV show “FLASH FASHION”.
Einar is Freyja’s third oldest cousin (after Ragnar and Werner, but before Gunnar [Freyja was the only girl in her family]) who loves fashion just as much as her.
Einar and Freyja would play Dress-Up with Freyja’s mother Sonja’s clothes and makeup and Barbie dolls as children; as adults, they still love dressing up in outrageous outfits when the right occasions occur - such as award ceremonies and charity events.
Because of having red in their hair, most initially think Einar and Freyja are brother-sister siblings (along with Gunnar who also has reddish hair; Ragnar has dark ash-brown hair while Werner is blond like Freyja’s father Erik).
Einar also loves flirting with lots of men, especially with Freyja’s husband Hr. Dr. Kasper (he does this because he knows it makes Freyja upset just to tease her; what will surprise him is when Hr. Dr. Kasper will play along and pretend to flirt with him).

There’s Freyja - she’s just been blending in with the seasonal foliage with her strawberry blonde hair, lol.
Not exactly what I had in mind with the 3D effect, but it’s something…
Just an experiment…
I’ll try again with something else later for Freyja - I’m really supposed to be asleep now. 😵💫

💀Page 12 (Ende):
The next day…
(Back to their day jobs)
Granger is still upset and ranting about Death while Hr. Dr. Kasper asks how her arm is feeling.

Der Sensenmann‘s true form…
(And a very pissed off Granger)
Death in his true skeletal form surrounded by souls as the summoning spell finally wears off; Granger is beyond upset about getting bit and not knowing her boss‘ personal life despite having a close working relationship with him.

💀Page 10:
„Es tut mir leid…“
Richard/Death used up the last of the summoning spell‘s energy to maintain his restored human form; Hr. Dr. Kasper is grateful that his father saved him, but also upset that he could’ve just quickly gotten rid of the Cipactli at the start of the fight - thus preventing Granger‘s injury.

Papa to the rescue!
He’s been gone since he was a toddler, but Death/Richard is still very protective of his only son.
And with one slash he got rid of the God-ranked rogue monster when it was extremely tiring for the others.

“Is this the end?!”
With a hand on his neck tightly gripping, it’s easy to think he’s dying; but with a sudden whooshing of blood and ability to breathe, something drastic has happened.

💀Page 6:
Granger gets bit.
She’s not very happy with getting hurt, and she’s not happy seeing multiple foreign Reapers around - including Death.
Cedrick is just as skilled in treating wounds like his father (he’s a Wunderkind undergoing studies to become a full-fledged surgeon), and like his father and grandfather before him, relies on Aina’s potions for healing.

💀Page 5:
The fight begins.
The Cipactli has extra mouths located in its upper arm joints, making it dangerous when reaching over it.
Since being part fish, its weak spot is its neck where gills are; however it’s not easy to get nearby without getting bit or caught in a neck lock.

💀Page 4:
“That’s a Cipactli?!”
The Cipactli is just as tall as him at about 200cm/6’6”, but weighs twice if not triple Hr. Dr. Kasper’s weight in pure muscle.
No way Granger could of taken it down herself, even if her mother and younger sister came in to help out, because it’s so tall and massive.
Thus why Granger brought Hr. Dr. Kasper to fight it.

💀Page 3:
Der Sensenmann - aka Death Himself, the OG Grim Reaper - aka Richard Kasper.
Granger works alongside Death during the Dia de Los Muertos season as his secretary keeping the number of souls in check as they crossover; she’s never seen him in his human form in the last 600 years (her mother Yolanda is a Native American shaman and her father Humberto is a Spanish warlock, both able to live centuries by stealing lifespans from rogue creatures and passing their skills down to their children) so seeing him briefly restored with a summoning spell is a shock to her - especially when he looks like one of the foreign Reapers she sees as invaders on her turf.
While restored, Death/Richard takes form at the age he would of been if he was still alive (his current incarnation was born in the 1950s, making him look like he’s pushing into his 70s).
Despite looking more elderly, he’s just as strong as he was during his prime prior to leaving the living world.

Welp…
I lied - I thought I’d draw only maybe two more pages for this quick story, but it ended up being about ten or eleven.
Whoopsies…
🙃
💀Page 2:
Hr. Dr. Kasper introducing his son to Granger (she’s not only annoyed seeing another foreign Reaper but also jealous that he’s got a reliable Junior Reaper unlike her younger sister Carmen).
As foreign Reapers, both Kaspers are wearing traditional clothing from their homeland region out of curtsy for the host Reapers.

Wunderkind‘s Notes: Cipactli
“An ancient Mesoamerican creature that is part fish and amphibian but mostly crocodile. It has no sex and feasts off the flesh of fellow creatures with its multiple mouths. Legend says one ate a foot off the Aztec god Tezcatltpoca as he created the world”.
This creature is muscular, slimy with scales, and constantly hangry.
Because of its legendary status of even attacking beings and creatures considered as deities, the Cipactli has the highest category level for a monster if it goes rogue.
Granger herself wouldn’t be enough to defeat one (she’s fast but not physically strong as a female Reaper, and her sister/Junior Reaper isn’t reliable), so she’s asking Hr. Dr. Kasper to help her (he’s just as big as one at about 200cm/6’6”).
But even Hr. Dr. Kasper has his limits with certain monsters - he’s just as powerful as his father Richard/Death, but as a human he gets tired if a fight goes on for more than 5 hours and a Cipactli can keep fighting for up to 8 before passing out from lack of food.
So Cedrick suggesting that they actually get help from the OG Grim Reaper Death Himself is not a good thing for lots of reasons (Hr. Dr. Kasper has lots of Daddy Issues, and summoning Death Himself for help means Richard showing up temporarily restored as a living human for up to 24 hours).

A quick pic of Hr. Dr. Kasper I made in combination with #autodesksketchbook and #mentalcanvas a while back.
Do I plan on making more pics like this?
Yes, I do.
But I’ll have to plan out something a bit more creative and colorful - like a room or garden scene.

Hallo World!
Did you miss me? 👻
I’ve been away for quite some time due to work (for anyone who hasn’t seen my past IG Stories, I’ve been sucked down a purple vortex in Del Mar known as the Breeders’ Cup - basically the World Cup or Super Bowl for horse racing 🏇).
Now that’s over, I can relax and get back to my scribbles and doodles (seriously - I’m a mental wreck after driving, hotel hopping, and barely eating anything for the last several days).
I haven’t posted the last few pics I’ve done prior to my absence (I’ll get them up soon), but here’s this one done today.
Basically I just drew Richard, Sigrid, and Johannes Faustuz with a basic Red-Blue-Green color scheme and wearing Fall fashions from the 1970s, 1980s, and 2020s (which are heavily inspired by the 1990s).
And of course, I couldn’t help coloring in some plaid stripes
(I really love stripes, okay).

#sketchdump of Aina Faustus and her grandson Hr. Dr. Kasper.
-
Every summer vacation Johannes Faustuz would visit from Kiel and stay with his grandmother in Copenhagen.
Though Aina loves how much he acts a lot like her daughter Sigrid, she retains some bitterness of the fact that her grandson strongly resembles his father Richard (Sigrid looks a lot like Aina, except Aina is albino - Sigrid inherited her father’s light brown hair and pale blue eyes).
Faustuz grew up loving plants, always wanting to know which ones were his mother’s favorite (his favorite flowers are cosmos and asters); Aina would also show her grandson the many places his parents would go out on dates, and even cook up the same meals she did for Sigrid and Richard.
Since living abroad at Los Angeles, Faustuz doesn’t visit and spend as much time with his grandmother as much as he used to, but the two FaceTime at least once a month and Aina sends a yearly package of custom potions and mythical plant extracts.
