I think my eyes hurt from staring at this guy for too long...😭 Doesn’t help that I also stay up past Midnight for multiple nights.😫 - Besides looking all pretty in pink, Hr. Dr. Kasper has plenty of pour-over coffee and traditional sweets for himself on the side: Baumkuchen, Prinsesstårten, and Strudel. Both Johannes Faustuz and Cedrick have “Odin’s Eye” which requires a lot of energy to maintain, so often father and son will fight over snacks and caffeine when they’re available. Most of the time Papa Kasper gives up for the sake of his son’s needs over his (as any parent would do, plus Cedrick is quickly catching up with him on size as a teenager), making him at high risk of being an easily irritable hangry monster around other people (he’s not called “Hot-Headed Hans” for no reason). — These kind of pics take a LONG time to make - even longer if I put more painful effort of shading and lighting. Part of the time it’s gathering references, other times it’s picking and playing with color schemes (that’s why there’s a bonus cyan blue version here), but it’s mostly the drawing and coloring process that takes so long (especially the drawing when there’s tiny details). - One of them days this old millennial here have to play with REELS using video versions of my pics just for funzies (because why not 😛). Experimenting can be messy, but it’ll be a learning process. — #digitalart #digitaldrawing #digitalsketch #autodesksketchbook #drawing #ipadproart #ipadprodrawing #ipaddrawing #ipadart #animestyle #originalcharacter #originalcharacterart #malecharacter #man #manbun #glasses #suit #coffeemug #stool #plant #coffeetable #prinsesstårta #baumkuchen #strudel #pink #green #blue #yellow #frauv8_ocs

Oh, Instagram and your silly square crop...😑 - I guess this is a sneak peek of an idea I’ve been tinkering with for a while. The actual pic in mind will take a long time to make, so most likely after I’m done with work for the week I’ll have it done. - I also included a collage of the images that inspired the color scheme. Aww... Johannes Faustuz is really trying to be nice. But Erik doesn’t trust him. - Hr. Dr. Kasper and Hr. Ström HATE each other. They’re very competitive when it comes to being Freyja’s No. 1 man and head of the household. It also doesn’t help that the Ström Family think the Kaspers are “low-class quacks”, “scheming tricksters”, “filthy exterminators”, and so on (Kaspers are also known for working with the evilest leaders of Europe for money). But it’s all about making Freyja happy, so they’re willing to tolerate each other for her sake. And for the record, Freyja’s No. 1 man is actually her son Cedrick - she can’t stop doting and spoiling him to the point he avoids being around her (it’s rare seeing the two of them alone together). —— #digitalart #digitaldrawing #digitalsketch #autodesksketchbook #drawing #ipadproart #ipadprodrawing #ipaddrawing #ipadart #animestyle #mangastyle #comic #originalcharacters #originalcharacterart #malecharacters #family #men #soninlaw #fatherinlaw #blackandwhite #halftone #frauv8_ocs

Quick #charactersheet of Officer Rodriguez and Hr. Dr. Kasper. Hopefully my cursive is readable (I’ll write it all down in separate comments below). Slide 2 is an old pic from May 2018. — How did these two first characters meet? Granger was actually on patrol duty when Johannes Faustuz was out chasing after lost souls late at night. Initially she thought he was a mentally ill person on the loose, so she tackled him, handcuffed him, and stuffed him into the back of her tiny car. It wasn’t until she saw the glowing odd-colored eyes Granger realized she not only caught a Grim Reaper like herself, but a rare monster slayer of legends; she felt even more ashamed when she found out he’s also a doctor from her local hospital. Poor Faustuz had to be picked up by his father-in-law after Granger released him (you can imagine what that conversation was like when they hate each other); it’s also why whenever he hears police sirens nearby on the street, he gets panic attacks, afraid he’d be tackled, shoved into a tiny space, and taken away to an unknown location (pretty relevant right now for lots of people...😑) - Since then, their paths cross often since they both live/work in the Los Angeles area; occasionally they collaborate, but Granger doesn’t like newcomers encroaching on her home turf (she hasn’t met Cedrick yet, so...) Granger also refers to the Herr Doktor as “Juanito”, which he absolutely hates (“Juanito” is like saying “Johnny Boy” - it’s a nickname of endearment; “Johannes” is an original version of “John”, which is “Juan” in Spanish, so it’s actually an accurate nickname for him). —— #digitalart #digitaldrawing #ipadproart #ipadprodrawing #sketchbookautodesk #autodesksketchbook #originalcharacter #characterdesign #malecharacter #femalecharacter #frauv8_ocs

Everyone is constantly looking through windows to see if it’s safe to go outside - or if their orders from Amazon has arrived yet. — Papa Kasper is still furloughed, just waiting to get back to work once he gets the green light to operate again. Even how he dresses has become more like pajamas since he no longer goes outside for meetings, lectures, consultations, anything that requires wearing a tie. Freyja loves the fact that this is the longest he’s ever been home from “normal” work, Cedrick is worried about his father feeling useless when his ward had been overtaken by COVID-19 beds (why he’s furloughed), and Grandpa is not very happy being forced to have daily “quarantine talks” with his son-in-law. The only thing that stays the same is that all the creatures (mythical critters and pets) living in the house still beg for their food, get daily walks or play sessions, and love him unconditionally. - And much to his dismay, Death has been knocking on the Kaspers’ door more often with a long list of lost souls and spirits to collect. Luckily he has Cedrick to help him out this time, and in rare occasion they’ll encounter Officer Granger Rodriguez, another local Grim Reaper (I’ve drawn her before, but it’s been a long time since; I should make a character sheet about her with Hr. Dr. Kasper). ————— #digitaldrawing #digitalart #drawing #ipaddrawing #ipadprodrawing #ipadart #ipadproart #autodesksketchbook #originalcharacter #originalcharacterart #malecharacter #man #stripes #glasses #watch #manbun #blackandwhite #mangastyle #halftone #frauv8_ocs

1980 when PAC-MAN made his debut outside of Japan. - Ever since she was a toddler, Sigrid has always been a fan of the arcade. She’d always beg her mother Aina for a coin and would play for hours nonstop with that one coin. Her classmates at high school think she’s a dork for liking video games, but little kids at the arcade love watching her play. Sigrid was pissed when she saw her high score on SPACE INVADERS was replaced by a new player - especially when she found out that player was Hr. Dr. Richard Kasper, the very man trying to woo her at her mother’s flower shop. Since becoming a couple, Richard lets Sigrid get first choice at the arcade and watches her play - he knows better than making her cry after loosing a hard-played game. - Nowadays, her son Johannes Faustuz has the same love for video games, which was also passed down to her grandson Cedrick. If the Kaspers aren’t busy chasing monsters and treating patients, they can be found competing against each other in separate rooms mashing buttons and wearing headphones. —— #digitaldrawing #digitalart #drawing #ipaddrawing #ipadprodrawing #ipadart #ipadproart #autodesksketchbook #pixaloop #originalcharacter #originalcharacterart #femalecharacter #youngwoman #1980 #pacman #arcade #animestyle #frauv8_ocs

Quick drawing of these two guys (pre-COVID-19 days). It’s also #internationalfriendshipday today. - Dr. Williams and Hr. Dr. Kasper has been good friends for almost a decade, but they weren’t always the closest of friends at the beginning. Tyrone was quite the prankster when he was a medical student; Johannes Faustuz was substituting a Biology course for a week, and Tyrone mercilessly poked at him, cracking inappropriate jokes and teasing him for his serious demeanor. Once the week was finally over, Faustuz returns home to Kiel without saying goodbye. After a few years pass since, Tyrone was finally a practicing Pediatrician. One day he overhears coworkers talking about a new doctor hired for the Oncology ward; they mention how strange he was being unusually tall and thin, speaking with a heavy European accent, and having odd-colored eyes. Tyrone immediately snaps at them for bad-mouthing the newcomer, and then seeks out the doctor they were talking about. Much to his surprise, it was the same substitute professor he once made fun of; Tyrone apologizes for his past behavior, offering a hand of friendship. ——— #digitalart #digitaldrawing #autodesksketchbook #drawing #ipadproart #ipadprodrawing #ipaddrawing #ipadart #animestyle #originalcharacters #originalcharacterart #malecharacter #men #frauv8_ocs

Sigrid standing by at her mother Aina’s specialty flower shop/living room located in Copenhagen, Denmark (the whole lower floor of the house is used as a store). Aside from flowers, cooking herbs, potions, and medicine are also sold. - Every day after high school, Sigrid works in the storage room trimming flowers for bouquets, potting bulbs and saplings, and extracting oils and sap from mythical plants. Normally she keeps herself out of sight to avoid classmates, especially other girls who bully her. But while restocking buckets of roses for Valentine’s Day in 1979, she instantly caught the eye of a traveling doctor known as “Playboy Dick” - Hr. Dr. Richard Kasper, youngest son of the “Deadly Black Skull of Kiel”. —— #digitaldrawing #digitalart #drawing #ipaddrawing #ipadprodrawing #ipadart #ipadproart #autodesksketchbook #animation #blink #originalcharacter #originalcharacterart #femalecharacter #girl #youngwoman #brunette #animestyle #purple #green #yellow #blue #orange #flowers #frauv8_ocs

A full look of what fashion was like for this Kasper: white coat, red t-shirt, denim bell bottoms, Adidas shoes, oversized glasses, feathered hair. - At this point of time, Richard is really heartbroken with Sigrid ignoring his advances. Never a girl rejected his charms as she did, making him even more desperate to win her love. Slowly over time, Sigrid accepts his random gifts of chocolates, perfume, and jewelry up to the point she finally gives up her act when he falls ill with fever and lovesickness. #dtiys_frauv8 Might as well make it another #dtiyschallenge because why not. Nobody wants to do any challenges I make anyway.😛 - I hadn’t been posting much due to work trying to make up for lost time; I’m there from about 10:30am to 7:30pm 3-4 times a week, so I’m pretty much wiped out at the end of a day. I work for TV/Simulcast (I’m a Graphics Operator; basically I make those things on the screen that displays names, prices, results, etc.), so I’m considered “Essential”. You can say I’m keeping people entertained while they stay safe and quarantine at home, lol. It’s not a job I can work remotely, so... yeah... I’m doing my best being safe with lots of sanitizer and wearing my mask (a face shield might not be a bad idea since I work in a small space). So I really mean it when I say “Stay home”, “Wear a mask”, and “Be nice to essential workers” - I want people to be safe, healthy, and we don’t need anymore “Karens” and “Chads” in the world making it harder for those providing services during this pandemic. ——— #digitalart #digitaldrawing #ipaddrawing #ipadart #ipadproart #ipadrodrawing #autodesksketchbook #animestyle #mangastyle #originalcharacters #characterart #dtiys #femalecharacter #malecharacter #couple #man #woman #fashion #halftone #black #white #grey #gray #blackandwhite #manbun #glasses #longhair #frauv8_ocs
