Millions of us are glued to our phones for various reasons, whether it’s a viral video or a virus destroying life as we know it. Regardless of whether they’re good or bad, smart phones are essential in today’s world; they are mobile computers, a way of communicating and connecting with everyone, a means of news and literature. In the extreme end, it’s a means of comfort and addiction for many to escape the harsh reality of the world despite the cost of sleep, sanity, and curtesy. — Johannes Faustuz rarely has time to be on his phone. But when he gets a chance to check it, it’s often a video message from his wife Freyja encouraging him to keep up with his work, or his son Cedrick sending him a sarcastic meme/GIF/video to cheer him up. —— #digitalart #digitaldrawing #autodesksketchbook #drawing #ipadproart #ipadprodrawing #ipaddrawing #ipadart #lineart #pixaloop #animestyle #originalcharacter #originalcharacterart #malecharacter #man #smartphone #smartphoneglow #frauv8_ocs

Happy 1st Day of Spring 2020!🚑🦠😷 Not the best time to have allergies like poor Cedrick (and myself) when COVID-19 is rampant. My allergies kick off after the rain stops and flowers start feeling love from the sun. 🌧🤧🌸🌼🌞 Now any cough and sneeze makes everyone look at you like 🤬. The last time when the Kasper Family was all together, before Johannes Faustuz and Cedrick left Freyja at Stockholm, Sweden with her father Erik and four cousins. Or in another timeline, this is before they’re all quarantined together at the Kaspers’ home in California; in that case, Papa Ström has to be the most isolated from the other family members since he’s the most risk of being severely sick. Faustuz would still be gone working at the hospital while Freyja and Cedrick stay home to care for the garden and menagerie (as well as Grandpa). - It’s times like this when family is most precious, even though they can be annoying as hell. When this bug is done and over with, we’re all going to look back at this as a milestone in our lives with appreciation. —— #digitaldrawing #digitalart #drawing #ipaddrawing #ipadprodrawing #ipadart #ipadproart #autodesksketchbook #originalcharacters #malecharacters #femalecharacter #family #father #mother #son #grandfather #blue #red #green #frauv8_ocs

Now for something cute and Kawaii!💖 There’s been way too much doom and gloom around here. (it’s been rainy today too🌧) - I felt like making a sticker sheet of the Kaspers/Ströms and their adorable creatures - in Chibi form!❤️ I’ve been wanting to make these for some time since they are my main OCs; I could make a fantasy version (it’s been a really long time since I’ve drawn their fantasy versions), or perhaps a few animated ones (one sticker per slide if I do that). - In case people are wondering what pet/creature is what: •Klimt: Norwegian Forest Cat •Freud: Dachshund •Fritz: Wolpertinger •Rosemarie: Fairy •Fräulein Flicka: Doberman •Junko: Hyōsube - Comment below to say which sticker is your favorite.🤗 —— #digitaldrawing #digitalart #drawing #ipaddrawing #ipadprodrawing #ipadart #ipadproart #autodesksketchbook #originalcharacters #family #pets #creatures #chibi #chibis #chibistyle #kawaii #cute #stickers #frauv8_ocs

This time with the Williams Family watching Queenie’s favorite movie “Frozen” for who-knows-how-many times. Tricia is starting to miss her tutoring sessions with Cedrick despite not liking him (or anything else besides sports). Asia had to close up the family salon, open by appointments only; her jewelry shop is still open online. As for Tyrone, he’s staying with Johannes Faustuz at the hospital to keep his family safe from being infected by the virus; he often interrupts Queenie’s “Frozen Marathon” with a video call thru TV every day. - Feel free to color in the #lineart on the last slide, and tag: @frauv8 #colorthisinyourstyle_fv8 —— #digitalart #digitaldrawing #ipadproart #ipadprodrawing #ipadart #ipaddrawing #drawing #originalcharacter #originalcharacterart #femalecharacters #woman #girls #indoors #watchingtv #nighttime #stayathome #purple #frauv8_ocs

If you’re a doctor, nurse, or lab technician doing tests right now, kudos to you; you’re on the frontlines taking care of the sick for unknown hours. Virtual hugs and high fives to you. - I was watching a doctor’s blog online, and he was saying that all medical students had been sent home and certain departments that are of less concern were being converted into rooms for hospital beds; many doctors from the converted areas were reassigned in teams for triage and general treatment as preparation for the “Calm Before the Storm”. That’s a bit frightening but also reassuring to hear that hospitals are preparing for the worst. — Poor Papa Kasper has been one of those reassigned for triaging and general treatment since his Oncology department has been downgraded and his surgeries postponed during the outbreak; Cedrick is also a doctor like his father, but being only 14-15, he’s treated as as medical student and sent home for protection. Since doctors are not machines, Johannes Faustuz often power naps in between shifts and appointments if he can’t get hold of coffee. When he returns to his office/dorm, he plops right down on his couch next to his potted plant for much needed rest. —— #digitalart #digitaldrawing #autodesksketchbook #drawing #ipadproart #ipadprodrawing #ipaddrawing #ipadart #animestyle #originalcharacter #originalcharacterart #malecharacter #man #doctor #frauv8_ocs

#repost of poor Uncle Hans getting his Elsa makeover. Now Hr. Dr. Kasper looks like a zombie at the hospital dealing with the virus. - I watched “Frozen II” last night, and it’s a hot mess with great music and visuals. I feel so sorry for anyone with little kids who demand to rewatch both movies and three side adventures (there’s a freaking LEGO one too!) over and over. - Which Disney film I can watch over and over again without being annoyed? “Emperor’s New Groove.” Love that movie. Go watch it. Llama drama rules. —— #digitalart #comic #animestyle #originalcharacters #frozen #elsafrozen #elsa #blue

Only three months into 2020, 25% of the year, and it already feels like an eternity; not what we had in mind for the future. Social Distancing has not been easy, and it’s been hard for many couples and families around the world - especially for those who can’t be together due to work, travel bans, and quarantine. But when it’s all over, it’s going to be a happy time with everyone able to hug and kiss each other - maybe. — The Kaspers are all separated: Freyja is stuck in Sweden with her father Erik and four cousins, Johannes Faustuz is doing his best to help out at the hospital, Cedrick is at home taking care of the pets, garden, and creatures staying over (Tyrone’s family, the Williamses, on the other hand, are all huddled together stuck watching “Frozen” and “Frozen II” a million times non-stop❄️I’ll have to draw poor Tricia with Queenie sometime). - Freyja wants to be with her husband and son after being away helping her father for over a month, but it might be another month or so before she can get back with her family - assuming that she doesn’t get sick. - Faustuz misses holding his wife in his arms while sleeping, but now that she can’t come home, he spends more time working at the hospital; that puts him at risk spreading the virus, so he stays in his personal dorm/office and waits around until he gets called upon request. - Cedrick is upset that he can’t help his father, but not being an adult and being the only one left to watch the house and menagerie of creatures, he understands that he’s got a lot of responsibilities for a kid; he doesn’t want to admit it, but he also misses his mother. ——— #digitalart #digitaldrawing #ipadproart #ipadprodrawing #ipadart #ipaddrawing #drawing #originalcharacters #originalcharacterart #comic #mangastyle #characters #malecharacters #femalecharacter #family #mother #son #father #halftone #black #white #frauv8_ocs #socialdistancing

It’s Saint Patrick’s Day today, but there’s no bar open due to corona (not the beer; bad joke). But for lots of people in the medical field, this is not a time to party with lots of patients needing extra care and attention. Let’s do our best to “Flatten the Curve” to help out our hospitals, nurses, and doctors so they don’t get even more overwhelmed - and so one day they can get that nice cold pint of beer for their hard work. 🍺 - Hr. Dr. Kasper is luckily wearing his green scrubs so he won’t be pinched (not that anyone would these days with Social Distancing), and would like some beer as he reads his newspapers on his down time. But with non-emergency surgeries put on hold, this oncologist doesn’t have much to do besides helping out everyone else at the hospital with whatever they need. Also, with his wife Freyja stuck in Sweden due to the European travel ban, there’s not much he can do at home besides wrangling a teenage son, two dogs, a cat, a pair of Wolpertingers, a Hyōsube Yōkai, a pink fairy, a man-eating tree sapling, and a wondering eight-legged horse. —— #digitalart #digitaldrawing #autodesksketchbook #drawing #ipadproart #ipadprodrawing #ipaddrawing #ipadart #animestyle #originalcharacter #originalcharacterart #stpatricksday #malecharacter #man #doctor #frauv8_ocs

Stuck inside the house like millions (if not billions) of people around the world. At least there’s internet, lol. It’s not fun being locked in like if we’re all in quarantine, but it’s for the sake of our health and others who are more vulnerable (people over 50, immune issues, etc.). It’s down to 10 people per group now in the USA (5 in other countries), bars and theaters are closed, take-out/drive-thru only for restaurants, pharmacies/grocery stores open for limited hours, and other essential services are open. 2020 has been a roller coaster ride for the first quarter of the year. - Feel free to color in the line art in the 3rd slide, and tag me for credit and so I can see your work: @frauv8 #colorthisinyourstyle_fv8 — Cedrick here is quite the gamer when he’s not bogged down with his studies and work at the hospital. But in this case, he’s playing against his father Hr. Dr. Kasper who’s staying at the hospital to help out with the health crisis; Cedrick was sent home because he’s not an adult (he’s only 14-15). He’s also the only one who can take care of the house and pets while his poor mother Freyja is stuck in Sweden with her father and cousins due to the travel ban. —— #digitalart #digitaldrawing #ipadproart #ipadprodrawing #ipadart #ipaddrawing #drawing #originalcharacter #originalcharacterart #malecharacter #boy #teenager #teenageboy #teenboy #pet #dog #playingvideogames #indoors #nighttime #stayathome #frauv8_ocs

Wash your hands for at least 20 seconds - which is actually the length of this animation. It also has sound! 🔈 - 20 seconds goes by a bit faster if you sing a fun little chorus to yourself. I even made each of my main OCs sing a chorus: Hr. Dr. Kasper sings “Cheri Cheri Lady” when he’s washing his hands before surgery (it’s a very catchy song by Modern Talking, I’ll warn you - even I sing it!😅); his wife Freyja hums “Spice Up Your Life” by Spice Girls; their son Cedrick is not a fan of ‘Sink Karaoke’, but on occasion he’ll sing his ABCs like when he was a little boy. Me? Hmm...🤔 I never really gave it any thought because it depends on what I last listened to. But after mentioning Modern Talking, I apologize if you get any of their songs stuck in your head after looking them up. — #digitalart #digitaldrawing #autodesksketchbook #drawing #ipadproart #ipadprodrawing #ipaddrawing #ipadart #animestyle #originalcharacter #originalcharacterart #animation #malecharacter #man #doctor #surgeon #washyourhands #frauv8_ocs

Voting Results From Story 🗳: Down — It’s unofficially Spring (yet it’s pouring buckets and blowing icy wind outside right now), so here’s two of the “Daddies” holding bouquets and looking quite stylish.💐 (My husband pointed out Faustuz looks a bit like Steve Jobs, and actually thought his glasses looked nice, lol) - Tyrone, Johannes Faustuz, and their boss Leyon are called “The Daddies” or “Daddy Doctors” at work since they often hang out together to talk about their challenges of being dads; Tyrone has a toddler daughter (Queenie) and young adult niece (Tricia), Faustuz has a teenage son (Cedrick), and Leyon has an adult son (Vincent-Claude). - I thought about making an info graphic slide show featuring my doctor OCs about the current microbe causing troubles, but I’m not a doctor and my knowledge on Epidemics is a bit dated (I was taking advanced Biology, Chemistry, and Anatomy college classes back when H1N1 Swine Flu was the new big bad bug in 2008-2009). I’d focus on more light-hearted basic stuff (like washing your hands while singing cheesy 90s song choruses, and fun greetings), and “Flatten the Curve” to help overworked medical institutions and workers by practicing common sense. —— #digitalart #digitaldrawing #autodesksketchbook #drawing #ipadproart #ipadprodrawing #ipaddrawing #ipadart #lineart #animestyle #originalcharacter #originalcharacterart #malecharacters #men #flowers #blue #frauv8_ocs
