The remaining 4 pages: • Character Comparisons • The End — Copenhagen, 1985. Sigrid is sixteen, brilliant, cursed—and marked by Death. When a Fossegrim tries to drown her in a haunted fountain, she’s saved by a towering figure with mismatched eyes and a bloody scythe. His name is Richard Kasper, and he is Death Himself. But Death doesn’t just want her soul—he wants to protect her. And Death never lets go. #digitalart #originalcharacters #artontiktok #webcomic #digitaldrawing

This is what I’ve been working on for the last few weeks — finally a new short story done after over 2 years, but this time it’s featuring Johannes’ parents Sigrid and Richard. [IG is only letting me post 20 at a time, but this is most of the story; I’ll have the remaining pages in the next post] — Copenhagen, 1985. Sigrid is sixteen, brilliant, cursed—and marked by Death. A little practice after almost 2 years being tortured by Duolingo - and I still think I’m no good.🥲 … Well, I’m actually doing good reading German and French, though spelling words without a Wörterbuch is a NIGHTMARE. 💀 Listening is a little hit-‘n-miss, but I’m able to understand some phrases without looking at the subtitles on Netflix. Each language has their quirk and frustrations (i.e. FRENCH with their stupid silent letters, GERMAN with split verbs and 3 “Genders”), but sometimes I’m having fun and blaze through my lessons with ease. (And for anyone wondering, yes I still write most of my notes in cursive - or what some jokingly call “Doctor Writings” because so many can’t read cursive at all these days and it looks a lot like a handwritten doctor’s prescription) - In Sigrid’s pic, some of her labels have Danish in red underneath the German showing how very similar those words are (makes sense since Denmark and Germany are right next to each other). My pics are also cutoff in order to fit the 4:5 ratio, so not everything is in frame (original format for both are 2:3). I had a lot of fun with each color scheme, one being warm and the other cool in tone (the pics are also complementary to each other). Both dress well, but being set in the 1980s Sigrid does poke fun at Richard by calling him “Old Man” wearing stuff from the previous decade (his true identity as Death actually makes him quite ancient at over 350,000 years old). — #digitalart #digitaldrawing #ipadart #ipaddrawing #art #drawing #artwork #originalartwork #originalart #artoninstagram #artworkoninstagram #artistoninstagram #animestyle #animeaesthetic #sketchbookautodesk #autodesksketchbook #originalcharacters #originalcharacter #characterdesign #characterart #character #malecharacter #femalecharacter #man #girl #notes #fashion #clothes #clothing #german

Something drawn a long while ago that only was featured as an Insta-Story (colored and un-colored versions). I’m still working on the “6 FAN ARTS” prompt with 3 characters left to finish (about 50% done, more or less). These take quite a bit of time to make considering the fact I had to collect references and I’m drawing 6 characters; at the pace I’m going, I’m probably going to be done by tomorrow if I pull off another all nighter… 🫠 #art #drawing #ipadart #ipaddrawing #digitalart #digitaldrawing #originalart #originalcharacter #originalcharacters #originalcharacterart #malecharacter #femalecharacter #couple #man #girl #woman #clothing #clothes #fashion #sketchdump #character #characterart #artistoninstagram #artofinstagram #artoninstagram #purple #blue #yellow #blackandwhite

“Am I really that bad?” 💀 Based off a quote from Mr. Death in the “TWILIGHT ZONE”, the version Richard gets his inspiration from. (“NOTHING IN THE DARK”) - To someone not of the occult community, Richard looks like a typical guy during the 1970s-1980s; however he’s “Death Incarnate”, Death Himself in the flesh living as the youngest son of “The Black Skull of Kiel” and recent heir of the Kasper bloodline. Since he’s the actual deity, Richard can’t live a full lifespan of a normal human being; he can transform between forms if needed but at the cost of his health in the long term (mainly temporarily having symptoms similar to tuberculosis due to internal bleeding and tissue damage after changing back to human). Richard was at his peak and nearing the end of his given lifespan when he met Sigrid, whom Fate assigned to him due to her life curse. He claimed her soul after her lifespan ran out, two days after she gave birth to their son Johannes; four years later, Richard couldn’t maintain his human body much longer, returning to his true form as Death and leaving Johannes to the care of extended family (he still holds a grudge against his father for not explaining why he was left behind and was told by Onkel Heinrich that Richard had died in South Africa from a respiratory infection). — #digitalart #digitaldrawing #ipaddrawing #ipadart #autodesksketchbook #sketchbookautodesk #prequel #originalcharacter #malecharacter #frauv8_ocs #grimreaper #death #skeleton #skull #bones #black #white #green #yellow #red

2.5 hours spent on this pic (not including the primary sketches, which took at least 1 hour to make). I also used different brushes to color Richard, giving him a paint marker look - basically some coloring practice. — I had made an Insta-Story earlier briefly mentioning about how Richard was developed, but I’ll elaborate here: Originally Freyja’s father Erik was planned to be Death with a design based of Death in the 1957 Swedish film “The Seventh Seal”, but a scrawny pale man in a black cloak didn’t match up with Erik’s boisterous and proud personality - he’s Viking royalty and making him a weapons maker was the better choice (not to mention he hates Johannes, which wouldn’t work well if he was Death since he’d call Johannes a worthless Grim Reaper for the family business - totally not what Johannes is). - Richard was already written out as an “Angel of Death” - a Viking prince who converted to Christianity, became a cardinal only to be killed by another out of jealousy, and was given immortality by evil spirits to take revenge on the descendants of the man who murdered him; therefore making him Death and having his son working for him made perfect sense. Richard was also described as handsome and cunning, so it also didn’t make sense to make him look like Death from “The Seventh Seal” (and Richard isn’t Swedish); instead he gets based off of Death in one of my favorite “Twilight Zone” episodes titled “Nothing in the Dark” - Death is a handsome man who finally got an old lady to let him in her home so he could take her soul away to eternity (familiar vibes to how Richard is sent to collect Sigrid’s cursed soul). The actor who played Death was also a popular heartthrob of the 1970s, making it perfect inspiration - Richard’s fashion sense is stuck in the 1970s, he’s known to be a heartbreaking playboy, and he loves Disco during the 1980s when it was declared dead (adds to the insult of “Old Man” he got from Sigrid when they first met). — #digitalart #digitaldrawing #ipadart #ipaddrawing #originalart #originalcharacterart #originalcharacter #malecharacter #man #grimreaper #death #scythe #souls #animestyle #autodesksketchbook #sketchbookautodesk

Tenth OC for my wardrobe prompt: Tricia / Summer Patricia “Tricia” Williams is Tyrone’s older sister’s daughter whom he took in when she was 16 (his sister died from a drug overdose). Initially she was difficult with her uncle and his family, but after awhile she grew close with her aunt Asia - leading her to getting a job alongside her aunt at the family’s salon. Tricia loves sports, especially playing Volleyball; being a top player in High School lead to getting a sports scholarship for university. But Tricia isn’t very keen on studying and keeping up with her grades, putting her in a predicament: she needs to get her GPA up or else she looses her scholarship (she already taken Biology 101 twice, failed Algebra three times, and barely passed English). Being in Biology 101 multiple times has caught the attention of her professor Vinnie DeValeur, both out of academic concern and attraction; but since he’s not always present at the university, his substitute Hr. Dr. Kasper has been notified about her situation - and he also happens to be a coworker of her uncle Tyrone. As a remedy, Hr. Dr. Kasper has assigned her tutoring sessions with his son Cedrick over her constant trips to the mall with her BFF Carmen Rodriguez (the younger sister of Officer Granger). Tricia isn’t fond of Johannes (or Cedrick), but in occasion she does appreciate having someone else to rely on whenever her uncle or aunt isn’t available to drive and cheer her on for Volleyball matches. — #digitaldrawing #ipaddrawing #drawing #black #white #pink #purple #green #yellow #red #digitalinktober #autodesksketchbook #sketchbookautodesk #animestyle #originalcharacter #originalcharacterart #femalecharacter #teengirl #fashion #clothing #clothes #inktober #inktober2022 #frauv8_ocs
