I finally made a coloring sheet to share for the holidays!🎄

It ended up being Freyja and her hubby Johannes Faustuz because Christmas just reeks of their homelands (the only thing in the pic that’s not Scandinavian/Germanic is “Feliz Navidad”, a nod to their current home in California).

Tricia Williams and Cedrick Kasper.
They’re not a couple (over 5 years apart, Tricia being 19 and Cedrick 14-15), but the two are quasi-friends and often seen together mostly for tutoring sessions.

Tricia has always been a bit of a B- her whole life, but she has legit reasons (never had a dad around, mother died, being deathly allergic to animals, etc.).
After being taken in by her uncle Tyrone at age 16, Tricia has been adjusting to her new environment for the last few years.
She’s still wary being around the Kaspers for reasons, and finds their mishmash of Scandinavian/Japanese culture weird, on top of their ability to fight monsters and reap souls.
Tricia in general doesn’t like either Kasper guy by all means, (Hr. Dr. Kasper being too stern and Cedrick being a boy), but deep down inside she actually appreciates their help.
Cedrick, on the other hand, can be a bit too naïve, impressionable, and carefree.
He’s very sociable with other kids, always curious to learn about anything, and willing to share his knowledge with everyone; being a prodigy, his father Hr. Dr. Kasper affectionately calls him “Wunderkind”.
Cedrick is working on becoming a full-fledged surgeon like his father, but also has dabbled with design and crafting - showing potential for the Ström side of the family.
Cedrick doesn’t always like being around Tricia, but being Tyrone’s niece, Cedrick puts on a cheerful face and does his best to help her out (he actually had called her “B!tch” once out of frustration, which ended up with Tricia crying and his father hitting his head and screaming at him in their native language to apologize immediately).

Sigrid at this point had died after childbirth, at the end of the lifespan she had left from her father’s curse.
Though the whole family was devastated by Sigrid’s death during the holiday season, the birth of child brought the family closer together.
Unfortunately the stress of caring for a baby alone and the family business took a toll on Richard’s health, leading to his unexpected death and leaving Faustuz with his uncle Heinrich and his family.
I thought about making the mobile Christmas-themed (since Faustuz was born on 23 December), but it’s a tiny bit early to be posting that stuff (it’s in the 3rd slide).
And with Faustuz being born in the 1980s, there’s a few things some older Millennials might recognize in the Kasper nursery (I had to look up toys from the early 1980s; I’m a Millennial myself, but I don’t have many memories before 1992 and the toys I played with were mostly from the mid-1990s).

Cedrick has finally arrived!
He’s completely out of breath, unable to speak in either German or English after pedaling from the Kasper residence to a garden center then the Williams’ house.
Normally it’s a 5 Mi/8 Km trip one-way to the Williamses, but add in a trip to the local garden center in the opposite direction, Cedrick is one tired kid (he’s not old enough to drive yet).
It’s also not as easy to find a pine tree sapling around the start of the Holiday Season during Quarantine (most have been grown and sold to become Christmas trees).
The Chickcarney is more than happy to see any live pine tree to use as a portal to his spiritual home, but this one might need a little bit of growing more up for the Chickcarney to use it properly.
(Cedrick is going to get an earful from his papa for buying a year-old pine tree sapling...)
Also, Cedrick hardly calls his father “Papa” or “Vati” out of respect (he actually refers his grandfather Erik as “Papa”, so it adds to the weirdness and confusion calling his father “Papa”).

There should technically be another page or two before this, but I’ve been wanting to draw Cedrick on the Kasper Family’s errand bike for a while.😛

Cedrick was called from the Kaspers’ home located elsewhere around Los Angeles, not too far away from the Williamses (about 5-10 miles).
Of the Kaspers’ three bikes, it’s the pink one that has the hardware needed for shopping and transporting goods (the other two are for biking trails).
Both Hr. Dr. Kasper and Cedrick try to avoid the pink bike for obvious reasons (they get snickers and second looks from passerby’s), but with Freyja being the only female in the family and in charge of the family resources, they quickly swallow their pride for the sake of getting errands done.

Cedrick’s notes about the type of tree the Chickcarney dwells in. As a creature tied to the spiritual world, it’s very vulnerable when exposed to the human world - thus why it seeks out anything it’s familiar and associated with (ie. Asia and Queenie’s Caribbean ancestry).

November 1981: Aina, Sigrid, and Richard on their way back from the grocery store.
Richard is wearing his grey wolf fur coat while Sigrid is looking a lot rounder this time, and it’s not only because of her constant consumption of ice cream cones.
Aina is Sigrid’s mother, known as “The Witch of Copenhagen” due to her exotic flowers, extensive collection of herbal medicine and potions, eccentric behavior, and striking appearance (she’s albino).
Aina and Sigrid are very close, though Aina can get a bit nosy and often teases Sigrid whenever she’s trying to process something new; despite that, Aina is very supportive of her daughter and tries her best to get Sigrid out of her shell and experience the World - especially with a life curse placed on her by her own father cutting her life down to less than twenty years to live.
It was Aina who encouraged both Richard and Sigrid to get together despite what society had to say (Richard is almost 8 years older than Sigrid, raising a lot of eyebrows seeing a teenage girl with an older man); she could tell Richard was tired living life as a traveling playboy while her daughter Sigrid needed someone experienced to guide her and push her to live to the fullest.

The Kasper Family:
Freyja Ström, Hr. Dr. Johannes Faustuz Kasper, and Cedrick Kasper.
A little foreshadowing of what’s to come rests in Cedrick’s hands.

All three are quite tall, but considering their Norwegian, Swedish, Danish, German, and Dutch ancestry, it’s really not a surprise (all the mentioned nationalities are known for being much taller than average).
Freyja looks short in comparison with her husband Hr. Dr. Kasper, but at 5’7”/170cm (5’9”/175cm in heels 👠), she’s actually a little bit taller than the average American woman (about 5’4”/163cm).
Despite that, she’s labeled a “Petite Model” in the fashion industry, which she takes extreme offense (she doesn’t believe in so-called “height standards” for models, which is why she tries to have various types of people featured in her TV show).
Cedrick at 14-15 years old is actually quite tall for his age (6’0”/182cm), quickly catching up with his father standing at 6’5”/195cm.
Asia always asks “WTF are you feeding this boy?!” every time she see him because he seems to grow an inch or so (she doesn’t see him as often as Tyrone or Tricia so she notices his rapid growth).
Johannes Faustuz wasn’t always the tall man he is today.
As a boy he was actually much smaller than his peers; because of this (and the fact he was mainly raised by his Japanese aunt Yoko), he was picked on equally by both boys and girls.
He constantly got into violent fights defending himself, getting suspended from school and ended up spending most of his early childhood reading books at the library where Tante Yoko worked (it was also there he first met Freyja visiting as an exchange student from Sweden, and ever since the two had been inseparable).
It wasn’t until when Faustuz was about age 13 he started growing up like a Great Dane, quickly surpassing the other teen boys in height by age 15, and kept growing up until he was 21.
Nowadays hardly anyone messes with the Herr Doktor, knowing doing so would result in serious consequences.

Chickcarneys live in pine trees.
California had a lot of wildfires lately with most of the trees burned being pine trees; a lot of trees had also been cut down and removed either as preventative measures or other reasons (ie. Landscaping, Construction, Etc.).
The Williams Family live in a suburb near Los Angeles, leading to the latter - the poor Chickcarney most likely lost his home due to tree removal.

The Mamas officially meet!
Asia is a super fan of Freyja’s TV show “FLASH FASHION”, always wanting to be a contestant in a challenge.
The Pandemic put a halt to that idea, but Freyja hasn’t forgotten her husband mentioning about a fan who happens to be his friend’s wife.
Freyja is also curious about the Chickcarney, and Freyja has a soft spot for creatures - especially fluffy ones.

Tyrone, Asia, Queenie, and Johannes Faustuz.

Tyrone and Johannes Faustuz were practically “Work Spouses” prior to the Pandemic, always around to help out and keep each other company during long shifts.
Since the Pandemic, Faustuz has been furloughed with elective surgeries constantly put on hold and his oncology ward converted into extra beds, making it difficult to keep in touch with Tyrone on his off days.
Asia and Johannes Faustuz always had a complicated relationship, even though recently they’ve been slowly getting along since Asia finding out her idol Freyja was his wife.
Since the Pandemic, Asia’s jealousy has calmed down significantly, so much that she actually misses snapping at him; so when Faustuz does make a brief visit to drop off extra medical supplies for Tyrone, Asia pretends to be mad at him for old-time’s sake.
Queenie adores Johannes Faustuz as her “Uncle”, always eager to see him whenever he’s around.
In pre-Pandemic days when Tyrone brought her to work at the hospital, Queenie would always sneak in Hr. Dr. Kasper’s office to look at all the strange stuff on his shelves, listen to him tell scary German fairy tales, and take advantage of the unusual European snacks in his fridge (her favorite is Baumkuchen; her least favorite is salted black licorice).
Lots of times Faustuz has to step in the role of third parent/teacher in dealing with his friend’s daughter, whether it’s for show-and-tell in Preschool or keeping a close eye on her while Tyrone is working; with the pandemic ongoing, he’s often available on Zoom after teaching Tricia Biology 101 keeping Queenie’s curiosity in check.
