At this point of time, Richard is really heartbroken with Sigrid ignoring his advances. Never a girl rejected his charms as she did, making him even more desperate to win her love. Slowly over time, Sigrid accepts his random gifts of chocolates, perfume, and jewelry up to the point she finally gives up her act when he falls ill with fever and lovesickness. After spending a night together, Richard and Sigrid were on the fast track to marriage and having a family.

I hadn’t been posting much due to work trying to make up for lost time; I’m there from about 10:30am to 7:30pm 3-4 times a week, so I’m pretty much wiped out at the end of a day.
I work for TV/Simulcast (I’m a Graphics Operator; basically I make those things on the screen that displays names, prices, results, etc.), so I’m considered “Essential”.
You can say I’m keeping people entertained while they stay safe and quarantine at home, lol.
It’s not a job I can work remotely, so... yeah... I’m doing my best being safe with lots of sanitizer and wearing my mask (a face shield might not be a bad idea since I work in a small space). So I really mean it when I say “Stay home”, “Wear a mask”, and “Be nice to essential workers” - I want people to be safe, healthy, and we don’t need anymore “Karens” and “Chads” in the world making it harder for those providing services during this pandemic.

•1990: Johannes Faustuz Kasper walking the family dog Geri, a fawn Great Dane named after one of Odin’s two hunting hounds.
At this point in life, 8-year-old Faustuz was teased for being small for his age (4 ft/122 cm); but like a Great Dane, in his teens he grows up quickly to a towering final height of 6’5”/195 cm.

•FACTS ABOUT GREAT DANES: Great Danes are HUGE dogs, standing at least 45 in/115 cm head to toe or 4 ft/125 cm in length (the largest one was 44 in/112 cm shoulder to toe and named Zeus).
Despite the name, Great Danes are German not Danish...🤔 Hmm...🧐 Okay...🤨
From a little research, it’s a silly reason how they got their name: there was squabbling between Britain and Germany and the breed finally got its name from a picture of a dog in a French natural history book (my initial thought was that the dogs were from Jutland, where it has historically been back-and-forth being all German and all Danish; Jutland also happens to be the Kaspers’ homeland).
They were bred to hunt boar, deer, and bear; they were also a popular guard dog for princes while they slept in their bedchambers.
Great Danes are currently not as popular as they once were in the last 30-50 years with the memory of Scooby-Doo and Marmaduke fading away (I’m most familiar with Scooby-Doo with watching reruns and reboots in the 90s as a kid, but I know of Marmaduke because of reading one of my dad’s childhood books and there was a movie in 2010).
Despite their big size, Great Danes are gentle giants. They require room, exercise, and lots of food. But sadly they’re prone to many health issues, having a short lifespan of 7-10 years.

Can’t say Cedrick has pretty baby blues when he’s only got one blue eye. But Heterochromia is pretty if you get to see it.
(SIDE NOTE: I love odd-eyes, especially cats with them. Supposedly they’re considered good luck because they’re rare - and I’ve actually seen two in person. In Turkish lore, the amber eye represents Earth while the blue is for Heaven. I’d love to own my own odd-eye kitty if I can; naming it Kasper would be fitting, but Yuki, Yuri, Sushi, or Mochi are cute cat names too)

According to family lore, a Danish Viking boy named Ulrik Kasper drank water from Mimir’s Well - the mythical location where Odin threw his eye in during his quest for infinite knowledge. After suffering excruciating pain and temporary blindness in his right eye after drinking the water, Ulrik was able to see many unseen creatures and knowledge. Ever since, only direct male descendants of Ulrik Kasper who are blue-eyed and blond inherit “Odin’s Eye”.

It’s another blinking animation since it’s the easiest one to make. But it’s still a bit of work to draw and time just right so it looks more natural (I still yet have to animate the perfect blink). This color scheme is also a favorite of mine (I love bright colors paired with black, if it’s not straight black and white).

Richard is wearing a T-shirt with a sailboat and “KIEL” on it, a nod to where the Kaspers come from and where usually in the end of June/early July a large gathering of boats occurs.⛵️

Once again, I’m hunkered down. Work has been canceled until the 24th due to a number of people who tested positive for COVID-19. As far as I know, I haven’t been exposed to anyone sick, but with those who tested positive at work being asymptomatic really makes me nervous. And of course I won’t qualify for a test because I don’t have the classic COVID-19 symptoms or had contact with any with symptoms (my allergies, on the other hand, have been driving me crazy). Regardless, it’ll be a two week quarantine period for everyone’s safety.

Not exactly what I wanted, so I might redraw this. My original plan was black and white with a lot more floral and skeletal details, but ended up with bold lines and CYMKW (Cyan, Yellow, Magenta, Black, White). The bold color scheme reminds me of the early 90s (which is coming back in fashion with a vengeance, making me cringe because it’s literally my earliest childhood memories).

Whenever he gets furloughed from the hospital or when his colleague Prof. Vincent-Claude DeValeur goes out on archeological expeditions, Hr. Dr. Johannes Faustuz Kasper becomes a substitute instructor. He’s more than happy to share his encyclopedic knowledge with students, but often times he’s constantly trying to keep their attention on the chalkboard and off their phone screens. And occasionally there’ll be a student being a smart-ass just to piss him off (this is actually how he met first Dr. Tyrone Williams).

Right now there’s the big debate on opening schools up again in America despite the huge spike of COVID-19. Personally I think schools should stay closed until infections go down; if push comes to shove, a hybrid of limited and staggered in-class hours and mostly online sessions might be best. But 5 days a week all in-class? That’s asking for another spike since it’s mostly young people that spread coronavirus with minimal if no symptoms at all.
I’m just absolutely infuriated and outraged with all the lost progress from the three months of lockdown. If people were more patient, kept their distance, wear their masks, learn from the 1918 flu pandemic, listened to the science, and if we had decisive leadership, we wouldn’t be in such a mess. We need to flatten the curve, not turn it into Mt. Everest and lead the world in infections and death. If this is still the first wave, Fall and Winter will be even worse. The worst thing I’m seeing is that people are becoming more complacent with the numbers of infections and deaths; how many more deaths is too many? 200K? 500K? A million? The 1918 pandemic lasted about three years; if we don’t anything and if there’s no vaccine developed in a year, how long do we want this pandemic to exist?
(I’m sorry for the rant, but seriously - I’m very angry at my country when others have lowered their infections to manageable numbers)

He’s more than happy to share his encyclopedic knowledge with students, but often times he’s constantly trying to keep their attention on the chalkboard and off their phone screens. And occasionally there’ll be a student being a smart-ass just to piss him off (this is actually how he met first Dr. Tyrone Williams).

Right now there’s the big debate on opening schools up again in America despite the huge spike of COVID-19. Personally I think schools should stay closed until infections go down; if push comes to shove, a hybrid of limited and staggered in-class hours and mostly online sessions might be best. But 5 days a week all in-class? That’s asking for another spike since it’s mostly young people that spread coronavirus with minimal if no symptoms at all.
I’m just absolutely infuriated and outraged with all the lost progress from the three months of lockdown. If people were more patient, kept their distance, wear their masks, learn from the 1918 flu pandemic, listened to the science, and if we had decisive leadership, we wouldn’t be in such a mess. We need to flatten the curve, not turn it into Mt. Everest and lead the world in infections and death. If this is still the first wave, Fall and Winter will be even worse. The worst thing I’m seeing is that people are becoming more complacent with the numbers of infections and deaths; how many more deaths is too many? 200K? 500K? A million? The 1918 pandemic lasted about three years; if we don’t anything and if there’s no vaccine developed in a year, how long do we want this pandemic to exist?
(I’m sorry for the rant, but seriously - I’m very angry at my country when others have lowered their infections to manageable numbers)
