Whenever Richard was around Copenhagen, he would usually treat Sigrid with ice cream and play games with her at the local arcade, giving her a chance to unwind from a long day at the academy and working at her mother’s flower shop before getting homework done and studying for tests.
Even though Sigrid initially didn’t like Richard, she enjoyed her time off with him being able to let out her frustrations. The more time she spent with him, Sigrid grew from tolerating Richard as if he was an estranged distant cousin into deep admiration and attachment for him like if he was her older brother. And despite knowing Richard as Death will be ending her life when her curse takes effect, Sigrid couldn’t imagine being with anyone else – more so when she finally realizes how much she loves him.
