Uncle Heinrich with Hansel, Hannah, and Johannes Faustuz circa 1983-84. This was about one year after Johannes Faustuz was adopted by his uncle after his father Richard died overseas in Africa due to mysterious causes. All grown up, his cousins constantly remark how much he looks like their father (both Heinrich and Richard look alike with blond hair, odd-eyes, and glasses - except Richard was taller and didn’t smoke). — #digitalart #digitaldrawing #autodesksketchbook #drawing #ipadproart #ipadprodrawing #ipaddrawing #ipadart #lineart #animestyle #originalcharacters #malecharacters #femalecharacter #family #man #father #uncle #boy #son #nephew #girl #daughter #frauv8_ocs

The Kasper Family at an earlier time when Cedrick was a lot shorter and Johannes Faustuz had short hair; Freyja hasn’t changed much since except how she styles her hair. This would probably be when Cedrick was about 10 years old. (Faustuz was born in 23 December 1981; Freyja was born 30 June 1982; I still haven’t decided whether Cedrick will be born in 2006 or 2017 since those are the two most recent times October Friday the 13th had occurred) - The colors I picked for this pic screams Fall, but the weather here in SoCal screams Summer - it’s been super hot the last several days.🥵🌡 Cedrick’s sweater has each of his parents’ family symbols: the Kaspers’ black skull and the Ströms’ spiral. Freyja’s outfit was based off a sold-out piece of clothing according to a fashion article (see 4th slide), while Faustuz just wears a basic collared shirt and slacks with typical aviator-framed glasses (reference last slide); both Freyja and Faustuz are wearing wedding rings this time. — #digitalart #digitaldrawing #autodesksketchbook #drawing #ipadproart #ipadprodrawing #ipaddrawing #ipadart #animestyle #halftone #originalcharacters #originalcharacterart #malecharacters #femalecharacter #family #frauv8 #frauv8_ocs

A rare work drawing I made yesterday. It’s been a long time using markers, but it looks like I’m still able to blend my inks well. - It was supposed to be a younger Johannes Faustuz, but it ended up being an older Cedrick.😛 In my original concept made back in 2005-2006, Cedrick was supposed to be in his 20s; my current project has him at age 15-16. — #lechtturm1917 #sketchbook #minisketchbook #traditionalart #drawing #pen #pencil #mechanicalpencil #coloredink #blackink #ink #alcoholmarkers #winsorandnewton #originalcharacter #malecharacter #coffeecup #glasses #blond #frauv8

Haven’t done one of these in a long time~ 😫 Just felt like drawing a watch because I’m expecting my own watch to arrive in the mail sometime soon, lol. My dream watch is a NOMOS, but I settled with something that looks very much like it at a fraction of the price. - Anyway, I might make a digital version of this because why not.🤷🏻‍♀️ — #lechtturm1917 #sketchbook #minisketchbook #drawing #pen #pencil #mechanicalpencil #pilotpen #blackink #ink #originalcharacter #malecharacter #watch #wristwatch #glasses #bowlcut #frauv8

Cedrick’s notes on Kappas and Garappas. - Kappa is much shorter than his mate Garappa, kinda like how Johannes Faustuz was once shorter than his wife Freyja when they were children. - In actuality, Kappas and Garappas in Japanese folklore are only male; they can be violent, are pranksters, and are drawn to human women in an unpleasant way (think opening episode of “Goblin Slayer”☹️). I decided to made these Yōkai a bit different so they can be more likable while still drawing from original sources. — #digitalart #digitaldrawing #digitalsketch #autodesksketchbook #drawing #notes #sketches #ipadproart #ipadprodrawing #ipaddrawing #animestyle #yokai #kappa #garappa

Kappas love cucumbers, but as a little boy, Johannes Faustuz was only able to get jars of pickles to feed the one living in his uncle’s garden. Pickles are still cucumbers, just... well, pickled; the Kappa is more than happy to eat them regardless whether they are fresh or preserved. - It’s also another shot in making a #drawthisinyourstylechallenge. My challenges don’t get any attention, so I don’t expect much tbh...🤷🏻‍♀️ I included the #lineart if anyone wants to do a #colorthisinyourstyle instead (use #ctiys_frauv8 if you do color). No deadlines, and (if any) entries will be featured on a highlight on my profile. “Wunderkind’s Notes” on the Yōkai Cousins that will be featured: the Kappa, the Garappa, and the Hyōsube. There’s also a cute comparison to the the Kasper Cousins with the Yōkai, and Aunt Yoko being blunt in regards to Cedrick’s current bowl-cut hairstyle (Papa Kasper had the same hairstyle in the late 80s/early 90s). All three Yōkai are closely related based on behavior, but one doesn’t quite look like the rest - just like how Johannes Faustuz stands out from his cousins Hansel and Hannah. - For those who can’t read my cursive in regards to the Yōkai: “ KAPPA •Likes cucumbers 🥒 •All male •Lives in ponds and rivers - GARAPPA •Likes soybeans and cucumbers •Male or female •Lives in lakes, ponds, rivers, oceans - HYŌSUBE •Likes eggplants 🍆 •Mostly male; females rare •Lives in ponds and rivers “ — #digitalart #digitaldrawing #digitalsketch #autodesksketchbook #drawing #sketches #ipadproart #ipadprodrawing #ipaddrawing #ipadart #animestyle #originalcharacters #originalcharacterart #yokai #kappa #garappa #hyosobe

With everything going back to the 1990s these days, let’s go back when Johannes Faustuz was a cute little nine-going-on-ten-year-old. - Faustuz was raised by his uncle Heinrich and aunt Yoko since he was orphaned as an infant (both parents died on a trip to Africa “on a mission to cure illnesses”; it’s still a mystery how and what killed them). He has two older cousins named Hansel(Hanzo🇯🇵) and Hannah(Hana🇯🇵); Hansel is eight years older while Hannah is six years older. His cousins are half Japanese, making him physically stand out from his adoptive siblings. All three children have similar names (Hansel, Hannah, Johannes Faustuz), making many people say that there’s “too many Hans in the Kasper family.” Unfortunately Uncle Heinrich passed on from lung cancer when Faustuz was almost eleven, making times hard for the family when Hansel just started college and Hannah often running away with her boyfriend. This was also when Faustuz first meets Freyja Ström, a foreign exchange student from Sweden who will eventually become his wife. - I’ll have a story sometime with yokai in the near future featuring the Herr Doktor’s extended family members since they’re Japanese. But which yokai...? I’ll look one up that’d be fun for all three cousins and elderly Aunt Yoko to deal with. — #digitaldrawing #digitalart #ipadart #ipaddrawing #autodesksketchbook #originalcharacters #originalcharacterart #family #1990s #frauv8_ocs

Well... it’s another #dtiyschallenge pic. I had a story slide up a few days ago with 6 options for me to draw, and this was the only one picked out.😅 (I really do like to pay attention to what my followers have to say; my last pic’s comment mentioned they liked the yellow background for Cedrick and Faustuz, so my next OC pic most likely will be done in yellow) - This one is by @soniastegemann to celebrate 40K. #soniadtiys40k - I’ll have the story slide up in the third page for you to decide which #dtiys pic to draw next time (I just did 5️⃣). Soon I’m not able to draw as much with work starting to get busy for the summer meet, so I’m trying to cram in as much pics in the next few days. — #digitaldrawing #digitalart #pink #femalecharacter #girl #soniastegemann

Which background color you like best on Cedrick and his father Johannes Faustuz? ❤️💙💛 Comment below!🤗 - I ended up with red, though I really like blue just as much since it really contrasts with the Kaspers’ blond hair; red just draws you in like a hummingbird. Yellow is nice being monochromatic, but it’s a bit too plain and their eyes stand out too much - I’d have to desaturate them into more of a grey-green color. — #digitaldrawing #digitalart #ipadart #ipaddrawing #autodesksketchbook #originalcharacters #originalcharacterart #malecharacters #fatherson #blond #glasses #animestyle #mangastyle #red #blue #yellow #black #white #halftone

Now Mama Wolpertinger is mad - you don’t make her baby cry. Papa Kasper better get some turnips ASAP, or else it’s more than just his wife’s garden that’d be destroyed. — #digitaldrawing #digitalart #drawing #ipaddrawing #ipadprodrawing #ipadart #ipadproart #autodesksketchbook #originalcharacter #originalcharacterart #malecharacter #man #wolpertinger #manga #comic #mangastyle #animestyle #mythologicalcreatures

The fairy returns!🧚‍♀️ (reminder on the second slide) The fairy was almost killed by Klimt the Weegie, so she still has a grudge towards the Kaspers despite being revived and stitched together by Cedrick. - So does Freyja have any turnips in her garden? No, she doesn’t. The fairy has plotted her revenge. — #digitaldrawing #digitalart #drawing #ipaddrawing #ipadprodrawing #ipadart #ipadproart #autodesksketchbook #originalcharacter #originalcharacterart #malecharacter #man #wolpertinger #manga #comic #mangastyle #animestyle #mythologicalcreatures
