1993: Tyrone Williams Who knew he was such an adorkable kid? ❤️ Might draw kid Tyrone next to kid Johannes Faustuz, even though they wouldn’t have known each other until much later in life (they grew up in the 90s liking very similar things such as video games and toys). — As a kid with my family, I loved watching “Family Matters”, “Fresh Prince of Bel Air”, “Roseanne”, “Married With Children”, and “Home Improvement” (Yes, we also watched “Full House”, but it didn’t seem as interesting; my mom liked it because of the kids; “Friends” was also a show we didn’t watch much compared to “Seinfeld” and “Fraiser”) It’s all vague memories, but just a mention of some of TV characters like Steve Urkel just makes me smile because I do remember his funny voice, his silly antics, and “Did I do that?”😆 Obviously I was looking at Urkel as a source of inspiration for a kid Tyrone because I have a soft spot for dorky nerdy guys. Tyrone gave up the look as he grew up because of peer pressure to look more “hip and cool”, but away from others at home, he maintains his love for video games, toys, and TV shows (he still hasn’t told his work buddy Hr. Dr. Kasper about about his secret love of collecting Trolls and wearing glasses as a kid). Sadly it’s something a lot of people, especially minorities, battle with because being nerdy is associated with “not being part of the group”. It’s not so much of a thing for Asians because it’s expected to be smart (amongst friends I joked I’m half as smart since I’m only half Asian), and the White Nerd has been a stereotype for ages despite being mocked. Nowadays it’s not a bad thing to be a nerd - it’s actually quite fashionable to be one with a sexy pair of glasses.🤓 ——— #digitalart #digitaldrawing #ipaddrawing #ipadart #ipadproart #ipadrodrawing #autodesksketchbook #animestyle #originalcharacter #characterart #characterdesign #malecharacter #boy #fashion #black #yellow #red #glasses #whiteshoes #trolldoll #1993 #1990sfashion #nerd #dork #frauv8_ocs

1979: Sigrid Faustus Hr. Dr. Kasper’s mother. There’s no question that he looks a lot like her, only with his father’s coloring. - Richard was a young traveling doctor who was known for being a notorious ladies man, always trying to woo a female to spend the night with - until he meets Sigrid at her mother’s flower shop in Denmark. He was immediately awestruck by her beauty, and did everything in his book to win her; to his dismay, she outright rejected every advance. Richard never had a woman ignore him before, making him even more determined and desperate to attract Sigrid every time he visited the flower shop. Sigrid was very much enamored with Richard’s looks and charm from the start, but she also knew of his promiscuous behavior and wanted him to stop so she can have him for herself. After a year of tormenting the poor man, Sigrid finally agreed to go out on a date with him; Richard was beyond ecstatic, constantly showering her with letters, gifts, and endless loyalty by marrying her. Less than a year later, they were expecting their first child. Richard was beyond proud when she gives birth to a healthy baby boy during the holiday season, but his joy quickly turned to despair when she suddenly dies from rapid blood loss; he named their son “Johannes Faustuz” as a reminder that he was a final gift and reminder of the woman who made him work hard for her love. Sadly, Richard dies while out on mission in Africa from infection a few months later, never seeing his son grow up looking like his mother and becoming a doctor like his father. ——— #digitalart #digitaldrawing #ipaddrawing #ipadart #ipadproart #ipadrodrawing #autodesksketchbook #animestyle #originalcharacterart #originalcharacter #characterart #femalecharacter #woman #yellow #blue #brunette #fashion #glasses #dress #frauv8_ocs

Cedrick in so much green - just like Kermit and Billie. 💚🐸🩲 And he’s using a scrunchie to tie up his Lockdown hairstyle, which Queenie calls the “Mini-Hans” (when she really means “Mini Man-Bun”). Despite the quarantine, he got a coffee drink and phone in hand as usual. - There’s a few Pantone colors not featured in the slides (can only have 10), mainly the line art, coffee, skin, and skull. Any guesses on what Pantone color number the skull is colored in with? You voted for the Daddies. Here they are in matching outfits! 😊 Each of their shirts have a flower and corresponding color based on that flower - Johannes Faustuz has the Cornflower; Tyrone has the Magnolia. It seems like a trend right now to use Pantone swatches and RBG/CMYK/Hex color codes on pics, so I did it here (you can see it better on the close-ups). Also, they’re wearing face masks since it’s now the new normal - and they can be fashionable depending on color, fabric, and style. - I might do the other sketch now this one is finished, but there’s always something else in mind. ——— #digitaldrawing #digitalart #drawing #ipaddrawing #ipadprodrawing #ipadart #ipadproart #autodesksketchbook #originalcharacter #originalcharacters #originalcharacterart #malecharacters #men #flowers #cornflower #magnolia #facemask #tshirt #tshirtdesign #fashion #matchingoutfits #animestyle #frauv8_ocs #pink #blue #brown #white #yellow

There’s Cedrick! He’s really not happy with the Lockdown haircut his mother Freyja gave him, not that it’s much different from his usual Bowlcut - just much shorter and a little uneven in the back (the Lockdown is practically a botched Bowlcut/Fade/Undercut 😬). He understands why his father Johannes Faustuz has long hair (no need for constant haircuts), but it’s a pain to maintain (tangles, gets in your eyes, shampooing, etc.). - There’s 4 versions and the rough WIP sketch. In the background is the word “LOCKDOWN” in German, English, Swedish, and Japanese; his shirt says “DEATH” in Danish (German, Japanese, English, Swedish, and Danish are the languages the Kaspers are fluent with). - Comment below to let me know which one (1-4) you like most. —— #digitalart #digitaldrawing #digitalsketch #ipaddrawing #ipadart #ipadproart #ipadrodrawing #lineart #autodesksketchbook #animestyle #originalcharacters #characterart #malecharacter #teenboy #yellow #red #grey #lockdownhair #bowlcut #skull #skullfacemask #glasses #frauv8_ocs

Took almost three hours to color this in.💀 I really need sleep now, lol. (I’ll post the speed-coloring video on IGTV as well) - Freyja and Johannes Faustuz wore cute sun hats in the last pic I made; Cedrick doesn’t want to match his parents, so he went all black despite the heat (black is just a badass color because it’s the rainbow absorbed into the abyss). This time you can really see Cedrick’s heterochromia (odd-eyes; both Cedrick and his father Hr. Dr. Kasper have it). - The California Poppy: These things bloom every year after the rain is over, and some years we get “Superblooms” when the hills are all orange and gold with them (there’d be traffic and accidents just because people would slow down to look at the hills while driving😑). They’re obviously another favorite flower of mine because of their vibrant color ; pair the poppy with the cornflower, and it’s just an awesome combination of colors (blue and yellow is classic - just look at store logos like IKEA). —— #digitalart #digitaldrawing #digitalsketch #ipaddrawing #ipadart #ipadproart #ipadrodrawing #lineart #autodesksketchbook #animestyle #originalcharacters #characterart #malecharacter #teenboy #plants #flowers #californiapoppies #californiapoppy #sunhat #black #yellow #gold #orange #heterochromia #bowlcut #glasses #frauv8_ocs

The Kaspers’ house based in Southern California, somewhere around Los Angeles. It does have a second level that’s basically a loft and attic used for storage, nothing else important. - If you zoom in the Garage, you can see what kind of vehicle each parent drives (Papa Ström has a motorcycle, Freyja has a Volvo SUV, Hr. Dr. Kasper has an old VW Beatle); Cedrick is only 14/15, so obviously he can’t drive yet (there’s three bikes available; the shopping bike is pink with a basket and crate installed, lol). — Slide 2: Cedrick studying at the Nook’s table. - Slide 3: Cedrick playing games in the Living Room when he should be in the Game Room (the Living Room has a large projection screen from the ceiling). - Slide 4: Cedrick’s Bedroom. - Slide 5: Freyja enjoying a bath in the Master Bathroom. - Slide 6: The Laundry Room. - Slide 7: The Kitchen. - Slide 8: The Master Bedroom. - Slide 9: Hr. Erik Ström isolated from the rest of the family, regardless of which timeline (Freyja stuck in Sweden with her father and cousins, or Erik with his daughter, son-in-law, and grandson in quarantine in California). He’s not that old (late 60s) - but definitely old enough to get really sick if he’s not careful. Johannes Faustuz might not be fond of his father-in-law, but as a doctor, he’s very concerned about the old man’s health keeping his distance tenfold in the guest room/suite. - Papa Ström has been working remotely with his shipping business hectic since people are ordering essential supplies nonstop. Luckily he has his daughter Freyja around to keep him focused and able to fix his technical problems (he’s not very good with mobile devices and apps). —— #digitalart #digitaldrawing #ipadproart #ipadprodrawing #ipadart #ipaddrawing #drawing #lineart #originalcharacter #originalcharacterart #malecharacter #man #indoors #window #stayathome #blue #pixaloop #frauv8_ocs

A another quick pic of this guy - again. It’s always a debate every time I draw Johannes Faustuz: Hair up? Hair down? — Normally it would be up for safety and practical reasons at work, but if Papa Kasper is taking a break or isn’t at work, his hair is let loose and untied. Either way, he’s always busy with something - often with a cup of coffee in hand. - So why exactly does he have such long hair? Well, Faustuz did had shorter hair as a child and teenager; but after having Cedrick and becoming a junior doctor, he has less time to take care of himself and gave up on haircuts (except for occasional donations for cancer patients). Once Freyja noticed her husband’s locks was getting long, she was ecstatic to style his hair - starting with braids and the “Man Bun”. —— #digitalart #digitaldrawing #autodesksketchbook #drawing #ipadproart #ipadprodrawing #ipaddrawing #ipadart #lineart #animestyle #originalcharacter #originalcharacterart #characterdesign #malecharacter #man #doctor #frauv8_ocs

After rewatching “Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure: Stardust Crusaders”, it just reminds me of how great Grandpa Joestar is. We need more cool grandpa characters. - Erik Ström is Cedrick Kasper’s grandfather. He’s far from being the senile old man he’s called by some, including his son-in-law Hr. Dr. Kasper (of course, Johannes Faustuz means it sarcastically because he knows the truth). He’s a strong, cunning warrior descended from Viking royalty who builds his own weapons with the help of his nephews, mainly Ragnar and Werner. He’s also a very doting father, spoiling both his daughter Freyja and grandson Cedrick whenever he gets a chance - mainly to annoy and take attention away from Faustuz. Erik was also the one who gave the Kaspers their cat Klimt; he owns Klum, Klimt’s mother who’s also an orange Norwegian Forest Cat. — #digitalart #digitaldrawing #ipaddrawing #ipadart #ipadproart #ipadrodrawing #animestyle #originalcharacters #originalcharacterart #malecharacter #man #cat #frauv8_ocs

I guess it’s unofficially Spring now that we sprung an hour ahead to get some more sunshine yesterday, so here’s Hr. Dr. Kasper with a bouquet of flowers. But we’re expecting lots of rain this week, so...😑☔️🌧 - 3rd slide has the line art, while the last slide has the image I used for color reference. - Yellow is a color I often have trouble with; if it’s not balanced with darker colors or used as a hair/accessory color, yellow will blind you with pure brightness (basically, I like yellow in limited amounts and practical applications). This pic is really pushing my limit with yellow, but I’m okay with it because it has its analogous colors (red, orange, green) with a hint of its complimentary color blue (the line art is actually a navy blue, and the white flowers have a blue tint) to keep it balanced. —— #digitalart #digitaldrawing #autodesksketchbook #drawing #ipadproart #ipadprodrawing #ipaddrawing #ipadart #lineart #pixaloop #animestyle #originalcharacter #originalcharacterart #malecharacter #man #manbun #glasses #sunflowers #redtuxedo #blond #yellow #frauv8_ocs

Noodles! 🍜 Probably should of made Cedrick less blinky and more nom-nom-nommy, and the noodles aren’t drawn consistently. A yellow color scheme. And lots of tension in the pic too. - Yellow is such a challenge for me because yellow is just such a strong color. I like it as a hair color (pretty obvious looking at my main OCs), it’s a nice hint of color for jewelry and accessories, but as an overall color for articles of clothing or backgrounds... it’s like stepping on LEGOs. Yellow needs other colors to tone it back, or otherwise it’s literally being blinded by light. Of course, yellow isn’t the only color I have the same issue with (looking at Pantone color Biscay Green), but if used moderately, it’s not such a terrible thing. —— #digitalart #digitaldrawing #digitalsketch #ipaddrawing #ipadart #ipadproart #ipadrodrawing #autodesksketchbook #animestyle #originalcharacters #characterart #femalecharacter #malecharacter #couple #yellow #red #orange #frauv8_ocs

Digital version of Cedrick in the rain. Ugh... It’s so hard to finish something when my weekend was busy and I’m currently suffering from fever and nausea 🤢 (I’m really questioning my choice of eating leftover noodles for lunch earlier today; yesterday I also suffered from eating food that contained some dairy in it, so that’s two days in a row I damaged my digestive system). - Anyway, this time I did a #redraw of an old pic from early 2018. I planned on making it more detailed, but with life in the way, I kept it simple; it also has a different color scheme from the original. It’s still a bit early for Valentine’s Day, but it’s creeping up soon. Most likely until then, I’ll be posting more of these two and other OCs that are couples. —— #digitalart #digitaldrawing #autodesksketchbook #drawing #ipadproart #ipadprodrawing #ipaddrawing #ipadart #colorstudy #animestyle #originalcharacters #originalcharacterart #malecharacter #boy #femalecharacter #girl #children #couple #pink #yellow #valentinesday #frauv8_ocs #frauv8
