A repost of Freyja Ström in her #itsybitsyteenyweenyyellowpolkadotbikini with added effects. (sound on please 🔊) Mama Kasper is enjoying the beach under the hot California sun - let’s say down at Del Mar where I’m working for the summer.😆 — #originalcharacter #woman #femalecharacter #redhead #redhair #swimsuit #bikini #hat #sky #yellow #blue

“Wunderkind’s Notes” on the Yōkai Cousins that will be featured: the Kappa, the Garappa, and the Hyōsube. There’s also a cute comparison to the the Kasper Cousins with the Yōkai, and Aunt Yoko being blunt in regards to Cedrick’s current bowl-cut hairstyle (Papa Kasper had the same hairstyle in the late 80s/early 90s). All three Yōkai are closely related based on behavior, but one doesn’t quite look like the rest - just like how Johannes Faustuz stands out from his cousins Hansel and Hannah. - For those who can’t read my cursive in regards to the Yōkai: “ KAPPA •Likes cucumbers 🥒 •All male •Lives in ponds and rivers - GARAPPA •Likes soybeans and cucumbers •Male or female •Lives in lakes, ponds, rivers, oceans - HYŌSUBE •Likes eggplants 🍆 •Mostly male; females rare •Lives in ponds and rivers “ — #digitalart #digitaldrawing #digitalsketch #autodesksketchbook #drawing #sketches #ipadproart #ipadprodrawing #ipaddrawing #ipadart #animestyle #originalcharacters #originalcharacterart #yokai #kappa #garappa #hyosobe

Knowing his aunt, she must’ve had pissed off many kinds of creatures.👹 - Normally Mokumokuren are weak Yōkai, but in large masses they’re indicative of something more powerful - thus why Johannes Faustuz sees them in red. His odd right eye also changes from green to yellow to show something dangerous is lurking in the Kasper Family’s house. — #digitalart #digitaldrawing #autodesksketchbook #drawing #ipadproart #ipadprodrawing #ipaddrawing #ipadart #halftone #mangastyle #animestyle #comic #originalcharacter #originalcharacterart #malecharacter #eyes #yokai #mokumokuren #red #yellow #black

Mama Kasper’s wrath has been unleashed, and she’s taking it out on Papa Kasper. But the Herr Doktor has a point - according to research, Skvaders were created as a hunting joke based off of regional mythical creatures. Skvaders also don’t have antlers or horns - Wolpertingers do. - I might make a “Wunderkind Notes” page explaining different horned and/or winged bird-rabbit hybrids. — #digitaldrawing #digitalart #drawing #ipaddrawing #ipadprodrawing #ipadart #ipadproart #autodesksketchbook #originalcharacters #originalcharacterart #femalecharacter #malecharacter #woman #man #comic #mangastyle #yellow #grey #gray #white

It’s a remake of a pic of Vincent-Claude I made almost a decade ago; obviously it’s not as detailed or painted like the original (seriously - I don’t have the patience to digitally paint as much as I used to). Cedrick’s first pair of glasses. - I was 10 when I first started wearing glasses, just like my dad. How old were you when you first got glasses? Closeup of these two cuddly lovebirds from my last post: Hr. Dr. Johannes Faustuz Kasper with his lovely wife Freyja Ström. - They’re the couple that make people say: “Aww~ Cute!” “Eh?! Taking a small break from the story again. My hand is getting a bit sore...☹️✍🏻 - The first of Cedrick’s notes regarding the mermaid (or “Meerjungfrau” for the Kaspers): “Only a young person pure of mind, body, and soul will be worthy of a mermaid’s bite so that she may regain her lost beauty. Once the mermaid has her beauty restored, the bitten will fall into a deep slumber until the mermaid is slain.” - 90% of the time, Cedrick is doing research and work for his father and others; 5% he actually does VR/AR operations, 4% he plays video games, and the last 1% he eats, sleep, goes to the bathroom, etc. And big disclaimer: I don’t speak much (if any) German, so if there’s any misspelled words and phrases, poke me to correct them for future reference. I’m trying my best to keep my characters as accurate as possible to what I designed them to be. — #digitalart #digitaldrawing #ipaddrawing #ipadart #ipadproart #ipadrodrawing #animestyle #mangastyle #comic #notes #writing #originalcharacter #malecharacter #man #boy #doctor #mermaid #mermay2019 #mermay

A break from the “Meerjungfrau” series (I’m finally able to remember how to spell “Mermaid” in German - yay!). Time for something cute and fun. - May 3rd is #twodifferentcoloredshoesday. 👞👟 And Cedrick is really proud of himself, lol. Papa Kasper is either impressed that his son actually made an effort to wear the same kind of shoes, or is ashamed seeing his son still unable to dress himself properly. - Cedrick is always in a hurry and tired, so most of the time he forgets to check his socks and shoes before putting them on. Often it’s a slipper on one foot and a laced shoe on the other because he only has time to tie laces for one shoe. - Me? I used to have mismatched socks all the time (like one pink and one green). But after buying only black and grey socks in only one brand in recent years, it saves you a lot of time in the morning not thinking about what color to wear - especially when they don’t show anyway. — #digitalart #digitaldrawing #autodesksketchbook #drawing #ipadproart #ipadprodrawing #ipadart #characters #chibi #originalcharacters #animestyle #mangastyle #malecharacters #blond #glasses #halftone #blue #red #shoes #adidasshoes #nationaltwodifferentcoloredshoesday

It’s another #drawthisinyourstyle pic. This #drawthisinyourstylechallenge was by @mawikatan. There were three OCs to choose from, but this was the one I’m familiar with since when I first started following them. #mawmawdraw - Let me know what other #dtiys challenges you want me to draw (even if it’s your own, lol). I try not to do anything with deadlines, but again, I’m not doing any to win anything (so it doesn’t matter). These challenges allow me to test out different techniques and give more exposure to fellow Instagram digital artists. — #digitalart #digitaldrawing #digitalillustration #autodesksketchbook #originalcharacter #koifish #koi #water #blondehair #cyberpunk #blue #yellow #red #green

It’s #nationalhelpahorseday. There’s many organizations you can donate to help these majestic creatures such as @carma4horses. - This is an old pic I drew about 4-5 years ago. It’s been a long time since I’ve drawn any of the Kaspers’ pets. They have two dogs and a cat (not including the myriad of fruit flies the Herr Doktor takes care of for experimenting). - Their cat cat Klimt is a huge fluffy orange Norwegian forest cat. He’s named after the Austrian artist Gustav Klimt because his fur resembles the swirling patterns in the artist’s gold paintings. Despite his size, Klimt think he can perch on anything and loves exploring high places which leads him into serious trouble. He’s very attached to Johannes Faustuz and Cedrick, often following either one of them around the house whenever they do come home from the hospital. Klimt enjoys cuddling up with his fellow pet Fräulein Flicka the Doberman, but avoids Freud the dachshund due to his rough playing and biting. Overall, he’s a sweet cat who loves giving attention to anyone he thinks is worth it. - I also included the #lineart. It’s #nationalhighfiveday, but Johannes Faustuz isn’t feeling very “Hans-y”. 😅(terrible joke) - I enjoy drawing my characters wearing fashionable clothing a lot (they dress better than me, lol), allowing me to play with different styles and colors. Both are wearing somewhat matching outfits with a bold spring/summer yellow/blue color scheme, and each guy has his own reaction to it. Hr. Dr. Kasper wears whatever his wife Freyja picks for him despite not liking the outfits (he prefers just his black scrubs or a simple solid color collared-shirt that’s often wrinkled, occasional neck tie, rolled-up khakis, and black shoes); Tyrone naturally chooses very bright colors and prints despite his wife Asia wanting him to tone it down. And yes, Faustuz is doing the #frenchtuck (holler back in the comments if you know what it is 😉). - Feel free to color the #lineart - tag @frauv8 and #colorthis_fv8 so I can see your work. — #digitalart #digitaldrawing #autodesksketchbook #drawing #ipadproart #ipadprodrawing #ipaddrawing #ipadart #originalcharacters #malecharacters #male #men #mensfashion #male #stripes #pattern #glasses #shirt #yellow #blue #green #teal #cyan #brown #red #white #black

Looks like we scared him. 😱 This time Cedrick isn’t wearing glasses, and he’s wearing warm colors instead of his usual blues, greens, and teal (excluding his pink shoes). It’s pretty obvious where the black, red, gold/yellow with a dash of blue comes from (think national flag colors). - I plan on making another one of these with Vincent-Claude. He’ll be wearing Lacoste with the classic blue, white, red tricolor scheme. - Feel free to color in the #lineart - just tag me @frauv8 and #colorthisinyourstyle_fv8. I also included a plainer version of Cedrick in case you want to put your own logo of choice on his hoodie. — #digitalart #digitaldrawing #autodesksketchbook #drawing #ipadproart #ipadprodrawing #ipadart #ipaddrawing #character #originalcharacter #malecharacter #blond #black #red #gold #yellow #adidas #adidashoodie #hoodie #stripes #halftone #bowlcut

Felt like making another one of these, this time with the two mamas. — Freyja Ström (Kasper) Supermodel/Magazine Editor/TV Host AGE: 39 DOB: 30 June♋️ HEIGHT: 170cm - 5’7” BLOOD TYPE: A •Freyja is a hardworking lady always trying to keep up with the latest trends in fashion and design. She is a woman of a rich and privileged upbringing, which makes her seem unapproachable to most when she’s more than happy to socialize with anyone. Freyja does everything she can to please everyone at work while trying to maintain a cheerful smile doing so. She highly values her private life, but with social media and the growing popularity of her TV show “FLASH FASHION”, it’s increasingly getting harder to hide her husband and son from attention. - Asia Williams Hairdresser/Jewelry Designer AGE: 34 DOB: 1 April♈️ HEIGHT: 165cm - 5’5” BLOOD TYPE: O •Impulsive and focused, Asia is a self-made woman of rural roots. She runs a hair and nail salon, but dreams of selling her homemade jewelry. Asia is a great cook, often bringing meals to her husband for lunch. She’s a big fan of Freyja’s TV show and wishes to be featured on it; little she knows that she does have connection to her through her husband’s coworkers. Asia has a toddler daughter whom she has her niece babysit while being busy with work and crafts. -- Asia doesn’t like Hr. Dr. Kasper much, but was surprised to hear him say her jewelry looked unique and his wife would most likely be interested in buying pieces from her. Like many people thinking his wife is dead, she waves him off. But the next day when she’s there to deliver lunch for Tyrone, Asia is shocked to see Freyja next to Faustuz greeting her with a handshake. From this encounter, Asia got two endorsements for her salon and jewelry, and an episode featuring her work. — #digitalart #digitaldrawing #autodesksketchbook #drawing #ipadproart #ipadprodrawing #ipadart #characters #originalcharacters #femalecharacters #charactersheet #characterart #characterdesign #female #women #yellow #red #blue

I’m still obsessed with simple textures and patterns with minimal color. Oh well. I also have the #lineart for anyone to color it - just tag me @frauv8 and #colorthisinyourstyle. - This time I drew Heinrich and Richard Kasper, Johannes Faustuz’s uncle and father. And they’re dressed like the 1980s at the peak of their careers. Heinrich is the older, darker-haired brother who is a shipping company businessman; Richard is five years younger, and is (no surprise) a doctor who travels to developing countries to volunteer during disasters. The two were extremely close growing up and always had drinks together whenever they had a chance to hang out as adults. But Richard suddenly dies overseas in Africa from an infection, leaving behind an infant son (at age 25). Heinrich adopts the boy and raises him along with his own children until he passes away from lung cancer (at age 41). Because of Heinrich’s death and being inspired by the stories about Richard’s work, both Johannes Faustuz and his older cousin Hansel pursued careers in medicine; Hansel became a nurse and Faustuz an oncologist. - Faustuz and his son Cedrick are often compared to these two brothers because of their physical similarities and the fact they work closely together. Faustuz looks very much like his uncle except for the build, height, and coloring (all which he takes after his father Richard). He also wears aviators in tribute to his uncle. Cedrick takes after his grandfather, so much that relatives often accidentally call him Richard. Cedrick has one thing in common with his grand-uncle: complete heterochromia iridium, or having odd-eyes (one green, one blue). — #digitalart #digitaldrawing #autodesksketchbook #drawing #ipadproart #ipadprodrawing #ipaddrawing #ipadart #originalcharacters #malecharacters #brothers #smoking #smokingcigarette #blackandwhiteart #mangastyle #men #mensfashion #stripes #palmleaves #glasses #shirt #necktie #suspenders #blue #green #white #black #frauv8_ocs

This time it’s a #drawthisinyourstyle of @bluebryy_pancakes OC. - I don’t do many of #drawthisinyourstylechallenge pics often because I want to do redraws of less popular ones for obviously reasons (you gotta give love to the lesser known people in Instagram). I stuck with as much of the original color scheme as possible since #yellow and #cyan are a nice complimentary pair. — #bluebryy_pancakes #bluebrryschallenge #digitalart #digitaldrawing #autodesksketchbook #drawing #ipadproart #ipadprodrawing #ipaddrawing #ipadart #originalcharacter #femalecharacter #character #characterart #redraw #angel #girl #blonde #blondehair

And I still ended up drawing boy tears.🤦🏻‍♀️ - Yes, the source of Tricia’s bottle of Boys’ Tears is poor Cedrick. She mercilessly picks on him for various reasons, the main one because she thinks he’s an annoying dork and wants nothing to do with him despite her uncle Tyrone trying to pair the two of them together. Cedrick doesn’t think of Tricia as a romantic interest since she’s a few years older than him, but does want to get along to avoid conflicts - he often stuck tutoring her for high school exit exams, if not babysitting Queenie in her place. Cedrick also wants to try being friends with more people close to his own age since he’s a wunderkind who grew up with little to no socializing with other kids. - Aside from the tears, Cedrick has his usual red stud earrings and is wearing something #adidas. He also has his current bowlcut haircut, and his eyes are odd-colored (his right eye is a tiny bit more green than the left eye). - I included the #lineart for anyone who wants to color this pic - just tag me @frauv8 and #colorthis. — #digitalart #digitaldrawing #autodesksketchbook #drawing #ipadproart #ipadprodrawing #ipaddrawing #ipadart #originalcharacter #malecharacter #characterdesign #characterart #teenboy #boy #black #white #blond #blackandwhite_art #halftone #blackandwhite #bowlcut #mangastyle #adidasshirt

Johannes Faustuz doesn’t refer to his wife Freyja as “Darling” - he calls her “My Love” and “my little Schmetterling”. He actually calls people “Darling” whenever he’s feeling a bit sarcastic. Or perhaps he had one too many cups of black coffee and actually is in a good mood? - The coloring is a bit of an experiment too, both color scheme and technique.
