Quick #charatersheet of Sigrid and Richard, circa 1979-1980. - When Richard first saw Sigrid at her mother’s flower shop on Valentine’s Day, he was not only lovestruck with her beauty, but was shocked seeing she only had less than five years to live using his Odin’s Eye on her; he figured out Death had sent him to watch over her on her final days of life. Sigrid’s mother Aina explained that she was cursed when she was a newborn by her own father who was greedy in extending his own life, leaving Sigrid less than twenty years. Richard was saddened, saying that as a teenager Sigrid should spend time with her friends and her boyfriend if she had one instead of working at the shop; Aina laughs, further explaining that Sigrid was a loner and has no boyfriend. Richard was then determined to woo Sigrid not only because he was in love with her, but also because he wants her to live the rest of her life to the fullest before Death comes for her. At first Sigrid was wary of his advances, knowing his reputation as a hotheaded playboy; she was reluctant to accept his weekly gifts of candy, perfume, and jewelry, but over time, she slowly lowered her guard to allow him a farewell kiss on the cheek. But after about a year, Richard’s lovesickness takes the best of him, making him pass out from fever and starvation. Sigrid felt terrible, afraid he was going to die because of her stubbornness. Aina comforts her daughter and tells her that Richard wasn’t going to die - he just needs to “spend the night with her” to cure his lovesickness, which Sigrid immediately protests since she’s never been with a guy before. But Heterochromia is pretty if you get to see it. (SIDE NOTE: I love odd-eyes, especially cats with them. Supposedly they’re considered good luck because they’re rare - and I’ve actually seen two in person. In Turkish lore, the amber eye represents Earth while the blue is for Heaven. I’d love to own my own odd-eye kitty if I can; naming it Kasper would be fitting, but Yuki, Yuri, Sushi, or Mochi are cute cat names too) - •CHARACTER BACKGROUND: Heterochromia runs strong in the Kasper Family, especially for males who inherit blue eye genes - and it’s even more likely if he’s blond. Amongst families involved with mythical creatures and the occult, it’s called “Odin’s Eye” because it allows a Kasper to see a variety of information such as monster’s vitals, wandering spirits, and how long a person has left to live. According to family lore, a Danish Viking boy named Ulrik Kasper drank water from Mimir’s Well - the mythical location where Odin threw his eye in during his quest for infinite knowledge. After suffering excruciating pain and temporary blindness in his right eye after drinking the water, Ulrik was able to see many unseen creatures and knowledge. Still in quarantine wearing house shoes and casual clothes bordering pajamas as Hr. Dr. Kasper enters his study. Freyja doesn’t approve of wearing sweatpants during virtual work sessions, grocery shopping trips, rogue monster hunts, or collecting Death’s quota of souls - proving the saying that the wife chooses the pants for the man of the house is true for this family. - I had a lot of fun playing around with textures with this one. Originally I thought about adding in one of the Kaspers’ dogs, but I’m lazy and it would of covered up most of the detail in the mini book shelving unit. I also thought of adding on glasses, but with a pic of this size, I prefer them off to see his face clearly (last slide has Papa Kasper with glasses on). — I have work Thursday thru Sunday this week, then it’s going back down to Del Mar for the summer work season (as far as planned). Klimt also likes fluffing his tail on his people’s faces and meowing to get their attention whenever he wants pets and food.
