Pg. 10 I’m back to Vincent-Claude and the Herr Doktor’s mutant fruit flies. They’re very hungry. — #digitalart #digitaldrawing #autodesksketchbook #comic #comicpage #originalcharacter #malecharacter #ipadproart #ipadprodrawing

Page 4. - To be called by his first name only means Vincent-Claude is very concerned about the fruit flies. - The Herr Doktor rarely is called just by his first name - he prefers Johannes Faustuz, Faustuz, Dr. Kasper, or Herr Doktor. He absolutely hates being called Hans (Hans is his cousin Hansel’s/Hanzo’s nickname), and often gets mistakenly called Jonah. (It’s exactly like how I don’t like it when people call me Ann or Annie - it’s Anna) — #digitalart #digitaldrawing #autodesksketchbook #comic #comicpage #originalcharacters #malecharacters #ipadproart #ipadprodrawing

#inktober #flower pic no.24 - #statice - Also called #sealavender, #caspia, #marshrosemary, and #everlastingflower, these flowers are often dried and used for decoration. They commonly come in shades of purple, blue, yellow, white, and pink, and have a papery texture to them. Because of their ability to preserve well, statice is a flower for remembrance and sympathy. - A quick one this time, almost like a watercolor pen drawing but with cheap alcohol markers. I really had a hard time figuring out what to do with stock and statice - they’re both similar in use as filler flowers in bouquets, but definitely not the same in meaning when you give it to someone. Perhaps my next flower pic won’t be so plain and thoughtless. 😑 — #inktober2018 #ink #inkart #inkartwork #inkdrawing #pen #pencil #markers #platinumpen #platinumpreppy #crayolamarkers #sketchbook #moleskine #moleskinecahier #purpleflowers

Today’s #workdrawing: Tyrone’s family - his niece Tricia, wife Asia, and daughter Queenie. - Tricia is Tyrone’s older sister’s daughter, who he ended up being her guardian after tragic circumstances. She’s got attitude like any teenage girl, and hates babysitting her cousin Queenie - she’d rather hang out at the mall with her best friend Carmen. Because of that, Tyrone often has to call up Cedrick as a last-minute boy-sitter whenever she bails; this leads to a lot of tension between the two teenagers despite Tyrone wanting the two to get along. Tricia claims she doesn’t like Cedrick, but Queenie thinks otherwise and gets jealous. - Tyrone met his wife randomly at a sports bar; they made a bet on which (American) football team would win, and Tyrone won, in which Asia had to go out on a date with him. At first, she didn’t like him, but after finding out that he takes care of his elderly grandmother while studying hard to become a doctor, she decided to give him a chance, and the two eventually got married and had their daughter Queenie. Asia owns and runs a beauty salon, which Freyja has given high ratings in her magazine. - Quinella, or “Queenie” as everyone calls her, is Tyrone’s adorable daughter who just started kindergarten. She’s mischievous, adventurous, and likes to run away from her father whenever she can - especially if he refuses to give her something she wants. She’s likes being around her cousin even though Tricia gets annoyed with her. Queenie is also very attached to Cedrick like a little sister, and gets jealous whenever he’s around Tricia, Carmen, or any other girl. — #originalcharacters #originalcharacterart #originalcharacterdrawing #femalecharacters #sketchbook #dottednotebook #leuchtturm1917 #penart #pendrawing #inkart #inkdrawing #pilotpen #frixion #frixionball #frixioncolors

#throwbacktuesday - an old pic of my #originalcharacters Johannes Faustuz and Freyja, most likely from 2005. - Faustuz was originally a little taller since he’s older than her, and Freyja had golden blonde hair before I changed it to strawberry-blonde to match her personality. The way I have Johannes Faustuz being much shorter even though he’s older than Freyja now is a funnier yet more cuter idea. In the fantasy concept though, Faustuz is taller but that’s because they meet at a later age of 13 when he’s actually starting to grow taller than her. — #digitalart #digitalartwork #boygirl #girlboy #boy #girl #childhoodsweethearts #couple #children

Today’s #workdrawing done on a #moleskinecahier this time since it’s bigger than my #leuchtturn1917 . Not very fond of the paper quality or weight compared to my #minisketchbook, but making pen strokes on it seems nice and smooth. As usual, I’ve used #frixon #erasablepens , and I can’t stop saying how much I really love using them. The only downside is that they do run out of #ink fast, so ordering lots of them and refills are inevitable. I also tested out my new pack of #zebra #midliner #highlighter #pens . They’re not bad for what they are, and I seem to like them more than the frixion color markers. - I drew Cedrick wearing his concept clothing from 2016. His attire reminds me of Bill Nye the Science Guy and Beakman’s World (I’m really dating myself here, lol). — #pilotpen #frixonpens #gellyroll #whitegelpen #inkdrawing #inkart #penart #penartwork #pendrawing #highlighterart #moleskine #originalcharacter #malecharacter #blond #green

Been very busy with work lately~ But here’s the Kasper couple Johannes Faustuz and Freyja home in Europe (suppose to be Kiel, Germany). I have two variants of the same pic, the line art with the colors used, and a greyscale version of the pic for anyone to color in. Might as well throw in the #drawthisinyourstyle option too. I would love to see what people create with this. The other person everyone is afraid of at the hospital aside from Cedrick’s father (Herr Doktor Kasper) is the director Docteur DeValuer. He’ll show up and sneak up on you when you least expect it. He’s not very pleased with the younger Herr Doktor’s choice to cheer on #teambelgium over France for the #worldcup . - Docteur DeValuer says: “What is that? A Belgian flag?” Je ne parle pas Français, but I know some (I did study it for two years; same with Spanish), and my German is even worse (had a pen pal ages ago). So getting me to say full phrases and conversing is literally painful for me. 😣 — #inkdrawing #pendrawing #pensketch #sketchbook #leuchtturn1917 #leuchtturm1917 #pilotpen #frixonpen #kuretakebrushpen #highlighterpen #originalcharacters #originalcharactersketch #originalcharacterdrawing

Found the rough sketch in my scraps folder. Since June is Father’s Day month, figured it’s best to get it done now. #mermaychallenge #mermay2018 #mermay #mermaid #originalcharacters #sketchbookapp #ipadproart #digitalart #digitaldrawing #colorscheme #underwater #couple — Couldn’t decide which coloring scheme was better, so I have both with the blank sketch. - Just one more MerMay pic for the month. In a way, I’m glad the challenge is ending (so many sleepless nights plus being the same subject every day). But every now and then I think I’ll make a mermaid pic for the hell of it. - For June I’m planning to make father pics, so that’ll be lots of Faustuz-Cedrick and Tyrone-Queenie pics, and other father-child pairs.

#mermaychallenge #mermay2018 #mermay #digitalart #digitaldrawing #ipadprosketchbook #ipadproart #sketchbookapp #repost #mermaid — Repost. I forgot to turn on the water layers inside the #fishbowl in my original post, and this time more of a sand-like color for the background. — For some mermaids, like fish, they’d die if out of water too long even though many can transform into humans on dry land. One story of Melusine (the two-tailed mermaid) had her be a human during the day, then transforms into her mermaid form at night when she takes a bath. - The idea of this pic was keeping a mermaid hydrated and happy, even if it means carrying her in a giant fishbowl on your back.

#mermaychallenge #mermay2018 #mermay #mermaid #originalcharacter #sketchbookapp #digitalart #digitaldrawing #digitalsketch — Starbie the mermaid again for Day 28. I have another pic planned for tomorrow based off an old idea sketch I had made back in my high school years.

#mermay2018 #mermaychallenge #mermay #mermaid #originalcharacters #originalcharacterart #originalcharacterdrawing #digitalart #digitaldrawing #couple #kiss #green — Day 22. Another Starbie pic. 😑 - NINE MORE DAYS OF MERMAY! It’s so hard to come up with new mermaid ideas after drawing one a day for the month. I’m left with the selkie, kelpie, hippocampus, Capricorn, swan maiden, Yuki-onna, kitsune, and Fiji mermaid in queue.

#mermaychallenge #mermay2018 #mermay #mermaid #sketchbookapp #ipadproart #digitaldrawing #digitalart #green — Day 21: The #melusine. The Starbucks logo features this mythical water maiden; it’s often depicted with two serpentine tails and sometimes wings.

#originalcharacter #digitalart #digitaldrawing #ipadproart #sketchbookapp #classroom #professor #skeleton — Vincent-Claude in his classroom. He teaches Anthropology, Archeology, and Biology at the university next to the hospital where his father, the Kaspers, Tyrone, and Kimiko work. He’s a doctor, but not like his father or the Kaspers since he’s an archeologist.
