Adding onto the string of mistletoe pics drawn around the holiday season every year since 2017.
Personally I feel like I’ve gotten sloppy over the years in regards to my work, but I have a job that’s been demanding more of my time (mostly commuting and setting up), I’ve been spending a lot more time with the pesky green owl learning German (ich spreche echt schlecht deutsch, aber ich kann deutsch lesen… kinda… I’d say “Baby Sprache” 🫠), major burnout, and the number of people actually looking at my pics is near nonexistent (I’m actually counting down to 0 on my number of followers 💀).

In a second chance encounter away from Aina’s flower shop, Sigrid confronts Richard, asking why he can’t just kill her and take her soul immediately since her Life Curse is due to take effect in a few years. Richard explains that as a servant of Fate, he only follows orders, even though he sometimes questions her motives, such as why Sigrid was assigned to his care. With each meeting, Sigrid lowers her guard and becomes more curious about Richard, while he grows increasingly affectionate and protective of her, despite knowing his duty to end her life.

Hallo there - Wie geht’s?
I still don’t feel confident with speaking/writing German after studying over 2 years, but I can say my ability to read it has improved to the point I can understand song lyrics (I’m looking at you Rhubarb Barbara - and I thought “Peter Piper picked a peck of pickled peppers” and “Shelly sells seashells by the seashore” were mouthfuls).

Aina, Johannes' grandmother and Sigrid's mother, boasts a relatively youthful appearance at around 200 years old, though she currently resembles an elderly woman in her early 80s. Her albinism lends her an ethereal air, accentuated by the presence of ruby-red eyes that sparkle with unflagging vitality. To distance herself from her ex-husband Samuel Jörgensen, Aina underwent a partial name change, reshaping her identity.
Managing a flower shop that extends beyond its botanical offerings, Aina curates an array of antiquities, curiosities, and magical potions, catering to both Wicca and Enchantresses who frequent her establishment. Aina is the proud owner and caretaker of a feline companion named Lamarr, a descendant of the lineage stemming from Hedy and Odin. Her role in initially encouraging a romantic connection between Sigrid and Richard is notable, as she eagerly anticipated the blossoming of affection between the two. Hansel (Hanzo) “Hans” Kasper, Johannes’ oldest cousin who is half White (German) and half Asian (Japanese-Korean).
Even though he’s part of the Kasper Family and just as capable of using scythes, Hansel prefers using fans and talismans as his choice of weapons and dresses up as a Jeoseung Saja - the Korean equivalent of a Grim Reaper. He rather not resort to violence in dealing with lost souls and rogue monsters, trying his best to be more of a guide. But if a soul or monster shows no sign of cooperation, Hansel won’t hesitate to judge and punish it in an instant alongside his fellow Reaper family members.

It was a 2 week long process getting the prompt made, resources collected, and drawing all 6.
Hobie took the most time to draw, though Madame Adelaide and Marston also took a bit of work to make.
Link has a slight halftone texture applied to replicate a video game magazine or box print; Buddha and Vanellope are basically drawn how I’d draw…🙃

Though he identifies himself with male pronouns, Cedrick isn’t afraid to wear things that go against gender norms (in fact, most Grim Reapers like himself & his father Johannes do so because the concept of death has no gender).
With a mother in the Fashion Industry, Cedrick grew up seeing, trying, & appreciating all kinds of styles; also as Johannes & Freyja’s only child, he wasn’t raised with strict gender roles due to circumstances (Freyja wanted a girl but health conditions allowed her to have one child - it was a boy; since Johannes was left behind by Richard as a toddler, he vowed to be present & supportive of his son in whatever he likes & decides to do).
Cedrick’s look here is inspired by Gucci, one of the world’s most popular luxury fashion brands alongside Dior, Fendi, Channel, Louis Vuitton, Prada, Versace, etc.; his sandals are Birkenstocks, currently a very popular shoe brand amongst Millennials & younger generations (Crocs are another “ugly comfy” shoe brand).

He even tried dying his hair black many times only to have it end up grey or green (he has platinum blond hair).
Because of this awkward phase and drastic change of appearance, Johannes doesn’t like sharing photos of his mid-late teen years (but his son Cedrick has been finding them and is eager to show them).
