It’s been a long while since I’ve drawn Freyja… Looks like she’s enjoying dressing up for a grim occasion… (Her husband Johannes is a Grim Reaper and she’s [unofficially] a Pesta) She mostly spends her time working with her father’s occult weapons business with her side jobs as a Supermodel and Magazine Editor, but it’s heavily hinted she serves as backup whenever her husband and their son need a little extra help fighting monsters before summoning Death Himself (she can’t see souls, making her mother’s family look at her as a failure and unworthy to own her own Pesta’s cursed broom). #digitalart #digitaldrawing #ipadart #ipaddrawing #art #drawing #artistsoninstagram #artoninstagram #artwork #originalcharacter #femalecharacter #characterart #originalart #pesta #grimreaper #woman #black #white #blackandwhite #text #fashion #gown #dress #blackdress #frauv8_ocs

Wunderkind’s Notes: Souls “ Each living thing has a set time to die when an assigned Grim Reaper is sent to collect the soul once it detaches from the body. In such moments such as an accident or murder, the soul is forcefully removed to lessen the odds of having a "Lost Soul" which could lead to the creation of Monsters or harmful Spirits/Ghosts. If there's a rare case of Life Curses, Death Himself will collect the soul as part of the exchange made by the Spellcaster. If left wandering on their own, most souls will gather in the prescence of Grim Reapers - especially those with close connections with Death Himself. Souls come in many colors and prefer to be round in shape (which makes them easily played and chased away by cats - which explains "The Zoomies" and staring at emepty spaces - and this is one reason why Death and Grim Reapers hate cats). “ - Featured here are Richard/Death and Sigrid’s son Johannes with his own son Cedrick. Most say Johannes looks just like Richard, but he has a bit of Sigrid if you look closer (i.e. hairstyle, jawline, and a teeny bit of the eye shape, all traits Sigrid inherited from her father Samuel). Cedrick is a bit harder to say which relative he looks like the most - he’s blond like his father, both grandfathers, and one of his mother’s cousins (Werner); he does have a hint of freckles on his face and is left-handed - both traits he inherited from Freyja (both Richard and Johannes are ambidextrous; Sigrid’s right-handed). - #art #digitalart #digitaldrawing #ipaddrawing #ipadart #originalart #originalcharacter #originalcharacters #artistsoninstagram #artoninstagram #drawing #animestyle #mangastyle #father #son #fatherson #halftone #black #white #blackandwhite #souls #grimreaper #notes #comics #comic

Wunderkind’s Notes: Pesta 💀 Freyja technically is a Pesta, but because of cultural changes and her preference to working with her father, she rarely picks up a Rake unless her husband and son really need extra help; she also can’t see souls - only spirits and creatures. [Grim Reapers in Europe are mostly male now, and as heiress of STRÖM CORPORATIONS & INDUSTRIES, Freyja enjoys being the first female Occult Weapons Dealer in history] - Freyja’s mother Sonja was one of the last Pesta of Norway, and worked as a rare female Grim Reaper until she accidentally was cursed by a Troll with a petrification spell - leading to her slow death turning into a statue (so many Wicca in Europe were killed in the Middle Ages to the point they were almost extinct; very few Wicca are alive, but Enchantresses had thrived because they could hide their magical abilities and not rely on potions as much). Sonja was also betrothed to marry Heinrich Kasper since she was a powerful Witch, but due to many circumstances, she ended up marrying Erik Ström (this is partly why Erik doesn’t like Johannes - his uncle broke Sonja’s heart; the other is that his father Richard didn’t cure her of petrification, only slowed it [Erik doesn’t know Richard is Death though, so…]). — #digitalart #digitaldrawing #ipaddrawing #ipadart #sketchbookautodesk #autodesksketchbook #originalcharacter #originalcharacterart #characterdesign #charactersheet #femalecharacter #woman #witch #pesta #frauv8_ocs #blackdress #rake #black #white

“Hello there…” 🖤 (Reel / TikTok Version) [Original post had an issue, so I had to repost…] - Over time Sigrid grew accustomed to Richard’s weekly visits to her mother’s flower shop, becoming more curious about him rather than annoyed and aloof trying to avoid him. She learns about his interests in computers, arcades, comic books, and movies on top of medicine and scientific research, realizing how much they have in common despite their large age gap (versus her childhood crush Batty who’s always been interested in sports, athletics, war documentaries, and cars). The more Sigrid opens up, the more she falls in love with Richard and wants him to stay longer; Richard, on the other hand, had to suppress a large amount of his feelings to avoid trouble with Batty and Sigrid’s academy - leading to having Lovesickness. — #digitalart #digitaldrawing #ipadart #ipaddrawing #originalart #originalcharacterart #originalcharacter #originalcharacters #malecharacter #femalecharacter #frauv8_ocs #frauv8ocs #couple #animestyle #animestyleart #comic #manga #mangastyle #black #white #halftone #loveatfirstsight #love #autodesksketchbook #sketchbookautodesk #mentalcanvas #mentalcanvasart

Another page from Sigrid’s diary: First debutante ball officially as a couple. - Every three months the academy has a debutante ball for the students to display their learned skills in front of their family, faculty, and other members of occult society who are invited (often foreign students and potential suitors). Despite being Denmark’s strongest warlock’s daughter and the academy headmistress’ stepdaughter, Sigrid usually is ignored and looked as inferior being the only Wicca amongst Enchantresses (having a life curse also makes fellow occult members dismiss her since she’s not expected to live past 20). But being able to cast advanced illumination and illusion spells with the use of activation potions, no one can deny the fact she’s the most powerful Witch at the academy; this often leads to classmates shattering her bottles of activation potions to prevent her from showing her skills and defending herself from magic attacks. Since meeting Richard, Sigrid’s abilities only grew more consistent and powerful due to being able to practice with the use of the capsules of concentrated activation potion he developed in place of potion bottles; their relationship also grew more intimate, adding to Sigrid’s ability to focus her energy outward for everyone to see (her usual introverted behavior kept her spells less of a visual display despite their complexity). Being one of occult society’s notorious members and available bachelors has many shocked seeing Richard at every trimonthly debutant at the academy since Sigrid’s 15th birthday; they also see how much this Grim Reaper is doting over his assigned victim, wondering if there’s more to his constant presence besides watching and waiting for the precise moment he takes her soul (dating was also prohibited at the academy until a student graduates at age 21). — #digitalart #digitaldrawing #ipaddrawing #ipadart #autodesksketchbook #sketchbookautodesk #originalcharacter #originalcharacterart #malecharacter #frauv8_ocs #femalecharacter #couple #animestyle #comic #black #green #red #orange #white #brown #grey #gray #suit #tuxedo #gown #dress #rose #roses #flowers #notes

Some more old stuff of Richard and Sigrid that were originally posted as Instastories and/or TikToks in the last few months… - I’m just taking my time resting and tinkering with ideas… Cactus Cat will continue with a few more pages, but it’s not quite a good story… I’m still figuring out what mythical creature or occult concept to feature regarding my OCs - perhaps another sheet explaining the difference between the two types of Witches, how Tricia is able to see ghosts/spirits, or a character sheet featuring more background OCs such as Freyja’s mother Sonja or Tyrone’s grandma Louella. The Three Eternal Deities: Fate, Death, & Nature. - Fate is in charge of all things existing, including Time itself and the concept of Who, What, When, Where, & Why. She was bored being alone, so she first created a second Deity she named Nature (a.k.a. Life) to help create the World & its living beings. However, Fate foresaw Nature’s careless behavior of causing disasters & greediness to make various forms of life overtake the World; to control the population & overconsumption of resources, she created Death to collect & store souls. Of the 3, Death is the least liked due to his task to slow the eventual depletion of resources and Life itself; to ease his frustration, Fate allows him to take human form to explore & observe the nature of humanity over different eras (he obtains an incarnation every 1000 years or so, depending upon Fate’s generosity). Lately Fate’s frustrated with the uncontrolled exponential growth of human populations & extinction of organisms caused by Nature’s whims, ordering Death to set up a small army of Grim Reapers (humans in various cultures who understand Death’s purpose). Death has a handful of Grim Reaper families he favors, especially to those he’d been birthed into (he’s had at least 2 incarnations within the Kasper Family before Richard); only his current incarnation was able to live long enough to have a son, creating a new set of Grim Reapers (many also speculate whether if his descendants are considered Deities or mortals with magical powers comparable to a Deity). - #digitalart #digitaldrawing #ipaddrawing #ipadart #autodesksketchbook #sketchbookautodesk #originalart #originalcharacters #deity #deities #black #white #blackandwhite #fate #death #nature #frauv8_ocs

“The Black Skull of Kiel” and his sons Heinrich & Richard Kasper. Olafur Kasper was the youngest of 3 sons, the 2nd half of identical twins (his oldest brother was named Rudolf and was born during WW1, his twin shared the same name as the guy who took over their country when they were born - making their nicknames Rudi, Adi, and Oli). Olaf was often overlooked by his peers and superiors while growing up due to his quiet and timid nature; it wasn’t until after WW2 started certain people took notice of his skills and made him in charge over his older brothers in running a unit of soldiers involved with the Occult. It was towards the end of the war when he received his nickname “The Black Skull” when he casted a spell to defeat an entire battalion of Russian soldiers at the cost of his brothers’ lives, leaving black burn scars on his face. Being found wounded by US troops, Olaf served time under American authority contributing his knowledge to defeating the Russians during the Cold War; it was at this time he met his wife Ida and had Heinrich. As years passed, Ida’s desire for a daughter grew - which led to the unexpected birth of the new incarnation of Death whom Heinrich affectionately named Richard (he wanted a baby brother instead of the sister his parents hoped for); Ida’s disgust for Richard boiled over to the point she left the family for an American soldier and left the country with him (leading to the birth of Sabrina, the Kasper Brothers’ younger half-sister). Olaf doted on Heinrich as the oldest son & heir, but treated Richard poorly and called him the reason why his wife left (he also despised how much Richard resembles Ida). Since Heinrich gave up his birthright as heir, Olaf has been even more rough with Richard and insists he marries before he reverts back to being Death permanently. — #originalcharacter #originalcharacters #malecharacter #frauv8_ocs #digitalart #digitaldrawing #ipaddrawing #ipadart #animestyle #mangastyle #originalcharacterart #characterdesign #man #men #fatherandsons #father #sons #blackandwhite #black #white #halftone #clothing #fashion #suit #autodesksketchbook #sketchbookautodesk

Another fashion era comparison with Johannes and his parents Richard & Sigrid: 1980s suit vs 2020s suit It seems like anything from the 1980s to the 2000s are in and fair game (so basically just rewear whatever you and your family accumulated over the years and / or go to a local thrift shop - there’s more than enough clothing available to choose from and it’s sustainable). The 1980s really loved their suits, especially Armani for men and the female “Power Suit” with the shoulder pads & tailored skirts. Sigrid loves dressing up whenever she gets a chance to wear something that’s not her school uniform, especially gowns & suits to show off her sewing skills; Richard finally updated his wardrobe from the 1970s soon after dating Sigrid to show an effort to keep up with appearances (he normally wears a black robe as Death; when summoned back as a human, he tries to wear new current clothing appropriate for his “adjusted age”). [as Death he’s over 350,000 years old, but as Richard he’s currently ~80] The 2020s suit is more slim (often called “European-Cut”) and in a way has become less formal with the current Pandemic being a big reason (people just don’t want to dress up for work, especially when working at home). Johannes doesn’t like dressing up much (he prefers wearing scrubs, sweatpants, & Crocs or Birkenstocks most of the time for work), but he’s willing to put on a suit every now and then with a touch of comfort on his free time (i.e. wearing a T-shirt & athletic shoes instead of a collared shirt, necktie, & loafers). His teenage son Cedrick wears a similar look to his, but with more colorful patterns & street wear blended in. — #digitalart #digitaldrawing #ipadart #ipaddrawing #originalart #originalcharacterart #originalcharacters #originalcharacter #malecharacter #femalecharacter #characterdesign #frauv8_ocs #animestyle #1980sfashion #2020sfashion #suit #powersuit #fashion #clothing #grey #gray #white #red #pink #black #patterns #autodesksketchbook #sketchbookautodesk

• Quick OC drawing: Junior Reaper/Wunderkind Cedrick Kasper - Cedrick is a high-energy and intelligent teen boy who has a number of traits from predecessors of both sides of his family. Most say he takes after his father Johannes (especially his height and Heterochromia), some say he looks like a younger version of his mother’s father Erik (both have short blond hair), but a very few mention a resemblance to his father’s mother Sigrid (he’s about the same age as Sigrid when she first met Death/Richard; it’s said he has her bright smile and her eagerness to learn). Cedrick is on track becoming a doctor and Grim Reaper just like his father Johannes and grandfather Richard before him, but does show potential being involved with occult weapons like his mother Freyja and her family with the ability to create functional things with unconventional items. — #originalcharacter #malecharacter #frauv8_ocs #digitalart #digitaldrawing #ipaddrawing #ipadart #animestyle #mangastyle #originalcharacterart #characterdesign #boy #grimreaper #scythe #souls #blackandwhite #black #white #halftone #clothing #fashion #sweater #pants #shoes #bowlcut #autodesksketchbook #sketchbookautodesk
