When I had the chance to walk around outside the other day, I noticed another invasion of organisms floating in the air: BUTTERFLIES! And “Schmetterling” happens to be my all-time foreign word - which happens to translate to “Butterfly” from German (“Papillon”, French for “Butterfly”, is also cute). These migrating butterflies look like Monarchs (which they probably are), but another possibility is the Painted Lady (they’re also orange, but not as cute). So I ended up drawing this. —— #digitaldrawing #digitalart #drawing #ipaddrawing #ipadprodrawing #ipadart #ipadproart #autodesksketchbook #originalcharacter #originalcharacterart #lineart #femalecharacter #woman #redhair #redhead #sittingpretty #butterflies #monarch #monarchbutterfly #monarchbutterflies #orange #frauv8_ocs

A another quick pic of this guy - again. It’s always a debate every time I draw Johannes Faustuz: Hair up? Hair down? — Normally it would be up for safety and practical reasons at work, but if Papa Kasper is taking a break or isn’t at work, his hair is let loose and untied. Either way, he’s always busy with something - often with a cup of coffee in hand. - So why exactly does he have such long hair? Well, Faustuz did had shorter hair as a child and teenager; but after having Cedrick and becoming a junior doctor, he has less time to take care of himself and gave up on haircuts (except for occasional donations for cancer patients). Once Freyja noticed her husband’s locks was getting long, she was ecstatic to style his hair - starting with braids and the “Man Bun”. —— #digitalart #digitaldrawing #autodesksketchbook #drawing #ipadproart #ipadprodrawing #ipaddrawing #ipadart #lineart #animestyle #originalcharacter #originalcharacterart #characterdesign #malecharacter #man #doctor #frauv8_ocs

It’s Saint Patrick’s Day today, but there’s no bar open due to corona (not the beer; bad joke). But for lots of people in the medical field, this is not a time to party with lots of patients needing extra care and attention. Let’s do our best to “Flatten the Curve” to help out our hospitals, nurses, and doctors so they don’t get even more overwhelmed - and so one day they can get that nice cold pint of beer for their hard work. 🍺 - Hr. Dr. Kasper is luckily wearing his green scrubs so he won’t be pinched (not that anyone would these days with Social Distancing), and would like some beer as he reads his newspapers on his down time. But with non-emergency surgeries put on hold, this oncologist doesn’t have much to do besides helping out everyone else at the hospital with whatever they need. Also, with his wife Freyja stuck in Sweden due to the European travel ban, there’s not much he can do at home besides wrangling a teenage son, two dogs, a cat, a pair of Wolpertingers, a Hyōsube Yōkai, a pink fairy, a man-eating tree sapling, and a wondering eight-legged horse. —— #digitalart #digitaldrawing #autodesksketchbook #drawing #ipadproart #ipadprodrawing #ipaddrawing #ipadart #animestyle #originalcharacter #originalcharacterart #stpatricksday #malecharacter #man #doctor #frauv8_ocs

After rewatching “Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure: Stardust Crusaders”, it just reminds me of how great Grandpa Joestar is. We need more cool grandpa characters. - Erik Ström is Cedrick Kasper’s grandfather. He’s far from being the senile old man he’s called by some, including his son-in-law Hr. Dr. Kasper (of course, Johannes Faustuz means it sarcastically because he knows the truth). He’s a strong, cunning warrior descended from Viking royalty who builds his own weapons with the help of his nephews, mainly Ragnar and Werner. He’s also a very doting father, spoiling both his daughter Freyja and grandson Cedrick whenever he gets a chance - mainly to annoy and take attention away from Faustuz. Erik was also the one who gave the Kaspers their cat Klimt; he owns Klum, Klimt’s mother who’s also an orange Norwegian Forest Cat. — #digitalart #digitaldrawing #ipaddrawing #ipadart #ipadproart #ipadrodrawing #animestyle #originalcharacters #originalcharacterart #malecharacter #man #cat #frauv8_ocs

I guess it’s unofficially Spring now that we sprung an hour ahead to get some more sunshine yesterday, so here’s Hr. Dr. Kasper with a bouquet of flowers. But we’re expecting lots of rain this week, so...😑☔️🌧 - 3rd slide has the line art, while the last slide has the image I used for color reference. - Yellow is a color I often have trouble with; if it’s not balanced with darker colors or used as a hair/accessory color, yellow will blind you with pure brightness (basically, I like yellow in limited amounts and practical applications). This pic is really pushing my limit with yellow, but I’m okay with it because it has its analogous colors (red, orange, green) with a hint of its complimentary color blue (the line art is actually a navy blue, and the white flowers have a blue tint) to keep it balanced. —— #digitalart #digitaldrawing #autodesksketchbook #drawing #ipadproart #ipadprodrawing #ipaddrawing #ipadart #lineart #pixaloop #animestyle #originalcharacter #originalcharacterart #malecharacter #man #manbun #glasses #sunflowers #redtuxedo #blond #yellow #frauv8_ocs

Noodles! 🍜 Probably should of made Cedrick less blinky and more nom-nom-nommy, and the noodles aren’t drawn consistently. Kimiko Abe and Vincent-Claude DeValeur (old drawing from two years ago on 2nd slide). And 3 March is Kimiko’s birthday, so her admirer is extra cuddly this time. - Vinnie is a bit of a womanizer chasing after anything female, but by far, his biggest crush has been Kimiko; he adores her naive nature and finds her so cute that he can’t resist snatching her up in his arms. Poor Kimiko doesn’t know how to react to his advances, so she tries to run away and hide; it’s not really known whether she really does like him because she’s so skittish and shy. So are they or are they not a couple? Eh... Even I’m not sure, lol. But I’ve been told they look cute together, so perhaps they will be a couple. ——— #digitalart #digitaldrawing #digitalsketch #ipaddrawing #ipadart #ipadproart #ipadrodrawing #autodesksketchbook #animestyle #originalcharacters #characterart #femalecharacter #malecharacter #couple #blue #frauv8_ocs

Quick redraw of a pic I made two years ago (Freyja and Johannes Faustuz getting married). Might redraw it again and make it even better, lol. It’s the whole family! As a cute chibi pile! — Someone had questioned whether if everyone would be blond, but NO! Not all Swedes, Germans, or Scandinavians in general are blond in real life, so this family should reflect that fact (my grandma is Swedish, and she had auburn hair like Freyja’s cousins Einar and Gunnar). It’s a silly, stupid stereotype that gets tacked on for lots of nationalities that are “majority White” (*glares at a certain popular anime that starts with an “H”*). — Freyja loves both halves of her family, but it’s hinted that she might love her Kasper part more due to the challenges of having an overbearing husband and moody Wunderkind that tests her wits versus the Ströms constantly spoiling her like a princess without question. - Being married to Freyja, poor Johannes Faustuz is often assumed to be a Ström himself by her coworkers and the media (getting the name “Jonah Fritz Ström” from the confusion); he obviously hates it not being called by his actual name and title, but for family’s sake, he’s willing to put up with it. - As for family traits, Ströms usually have blue or green eyes and some shade of blond or red hair. Cedrick looks a lot like his Ström relatives (especially his grandfather Erik and mother’s cousin Werner), but is immediately casted out as a Kasper with his odd eyes (Kaspers inherit heterochromia if they have blue eye genes). — #digitaldrawing #digitalart #drawing #ipaddrawing #ipadprodrawing #ipadart #ipadproart #autodesksketchbook #originalcharacters #family #chibi #chibistyle #frauv8_ocs

Football / Soccer jerseys for this activewear/sportswear compilation because I feel like it. - Comment below and let me know which one is your favorite jersey. I think it’s obvious which ones I like most of the four (I own more than one white jersey, lol), but by far, my favorite has been 2018/2019 Germany’s jersey because it’s a beautiful shade of green (last slide). - The Swedish jersey bugs me so much because it’s a shade of what I call “Minion” yellow (yet I still bought one, but only because it was on sale and I can wear it when it gets super hot and humid🤦🏻‍♀️). If it’s not a hair color, yellow is a color I have difficulty with because it has such an intense presence. — #digitaldrawing #digitalart #drawing #ipaddrawing #ipadprodrawing #ipadart #ipadproart #autodesksketchbook #originalcharacters #originalcharacterart #men #man #boy #teen #malecharacters #soccer #football #jerseys #fashion #frauv8_ocs

Father and son, Johannes Faustuz and Cedrick, in matching outfits based off of actual clothes; might draw a different version that shows their clothes in their entirety since I had to crop this so it fits in silly Instagram. Also seems like I can’t get over the color red even though Valentine’s Day has been over. At least it’s not an obnoxious bright yellow (*glares and gags looking at Minions and Sweden’s jersey* I’m so sorry, but that shade of yellow makes me cry because it’s such a difficult color to use without hurting my eyes). — #digitalart #digitaldrawing #autodesksketchbook #drawing #ipadproart #ipadprodrawing #ipaddrawing #ipadart #animestyle #originalcharacter #originalcharacterart #malecharacters #man #boy #teenageboy #father #son #blond #glasses #black #red #yellow #frauv8_ocs

Selfie time! Don’t forget Bertie! (BTW, anyone wanna guess what monster she is?) - While drawing this, I was told Freyja looks younger with her hair naturally straight. Nothing in the boxes were fragile - it’s all lingerie. This would sound like gibberish to Tyrone and Bertie standing just outside of the stock room; normally Johannes Faustuz and Freyja would speak in English to each other, but to keep things more private, they switch to German (Freyja would speak in Swedish with Cedrick if she wants something kept secret from his father). - Freyja is an overachiever, always trying to get that extra stretch to get her work done quicker; she claims to have the strength of ten men, but that might be because she’s the only female in her immediate family (husband, son, father, and her four cousins - all men). Faustuz always worries about his wife constantly working and burning out (though the same can be said about himself because he’s also a workaholic); he also worries because Freyja had fallen once and got a concussion during a runway show. But with two Type A personalities running the family, it’s expected that they clash every once in a while. - Now... Digital version of Cedrick in the rain. It doesn’t rain often here where I live in SoCal, but where the Kaspers are from, it can rain and/or snow quite a bit. - Personally I like it without effects, but I included the #pixaloop version as the 2nd slide. A nice early spring stroll around Kiel. It’s not often these three are home (their actual home, not Los Angeles) together as a family. - I made this pic pink like sakura blossoms blooming. (Unfortunately I wasn’t able to see them in my trip to Japan since it was December, but they had beautiful red maple leaves at the park, lol.) The coloring process was also inspired by Andy Warhol’s art on the last slide (he’s been a favorite since I was a kid; pop art and anime are my biggest influences). - As for both Kasper guys, I opted to not have glasses since I thought it would cover their faces with the pic being so small; look carefully, and they still have their odd-eyes at least. When it gets small, many details get lost in the whole, so keeping things minimal is best. —— #digitalart #digitaldrawing #ipadproart #ipadprodrawing #ipadart #ipaddrawing #drawing #lineart #originalcharacters #originalcharacterart #characterdesign #characters #malecharacters #femalecharacter #family #mother #son #father #halftone #pink #blue #black #white

He don’t do lattes or macchiatos because he’s lactose intolerant.☕️ As for tea, Johannes Faustuz is open to try anything ; his favorites are lingonberry, elderflower, rose, Earl Grey, and matcha green tea.🍵 - It’s a simple animated pic using iMovie.
