Which OC is your favorite? Comment below!🤗 - It’s not all of my OCs since I could only fit nine of them in this template (there’s Vincent-Claude DeValeur, Asia Williams, Hansel, Hannah, Uncle Heinrich, and many others I haven’t featured yet in storylines). - I love drawing OCs since it’s like playing with dolls - only that they’re not actually physical in a tangible form; also, some character designs just stand out and end up getting used a lot (like the Kaspers). — #digitalart #digitaldrawing #ipaddrawing #ipadart #ipadproart #ipadrodrawing #animestyle #originalcharacters #characterart #characterdesign #malecharacters #man #men #boy #femalecharacters #woman #women #girl #children #teenagers #diversity #frauv8 #frauv8_ocs

Happy #nationalcoffeeday! Why on September 29th? No real reason - just an excuse to celebrate the dark liquid elixir that fuels human sanity and functionality. ☕️ And some people really take coffee seriously - like this guy. Both Hr. Dr. Kaspers are lactose intolerant, but each one likes their coffee differently: Johannes Faustuz like his coffee black with a maximum of two spoonfuls of sugar - no more, no less. Cedrick likes his coffee sweet with milk alternatives such as soy, oat, and almond milk. Like both Kaspers, I’m also lactose intolerant; I like my coffee iced either black with lots of simple syrup or get the flavored lattes with soy instead of whole milk (otherwise I just get iced tea/juice blends with boba). - So how do you like your coffee? Do you even like coffee? “Midnight Snack” is finished! 🦑 It’s a late night glimpse into the Kaspers’ kitchen this time. There’s all kinds of stuff in there - let me know what’s your favorite item in their kitchen. - Poor Cedrick just wanted a Ruben sandwich and a juice box, but unbeknownst to him, his mother Freyja had stashed a fresh Kraken in the fridge for tomorrow night’s dinner. Included in this pic are the Hyōsube they adopted from their last trip to Kiel, their orange Norwegian Forest Cat Klimt, and the mischievous Pink Fairy - all featured in previous pics I’ve drawn over the past couple of months (if not years). - I thought about having the tentacles animated, but after spending so much time drawing and coloring this, I opted to just add text and lines for actions like a comic with a few touches from #pixaloop in the second slide. - Which room will be next? The living room? The master bathroom? Cedrick’s bedroom? Etc.? We shall see!🤗 — #lineart #digitalart #digitaldrawing #ipaddrawing #ipadart #ipadproart #ipadrodrawing #animestyle #originalcharacter #characterart #malecharacter #boy #teenager #krakententacles #cat #interior #kitchen #refrigerator #frauv8 #frauv8_ocs

Which lighting looks the best? 1, 2, 3, or 4? (4 is the same as the one without characters sans Soft Light layer effects) - It’s Freyja and Johannes Faustuz’s bedroom. Either they’re getting dressed up for the day or undressed for the night - you decide.😏 - Originally I planned on using a reddish-brown for the line art, but the blue just adds the right amount of pop for the details. And of course I had fun with the Soft Light layerings - thus I have a hard time choosing which one to put first on the post. I’ll have the full versions up on my Highlights since the original isn’t square format. — #digitalart #digitaldrawing #ipaddrawing #ipadart #ipadproart #ipadrodrawing #animestyle #originalcharacter #characterart #malecharacter #man #femalecharacter #woman #couple #bedroom #interior #frauv8 #frauv8_ocs

It’s still a #wip. Still needs more lighting and shading. It’s not as detailed as the last one, but it’s still quite a bit of work. - It’s Freyja and Johannes Faustuz’s bedroom this time. Pick your challenge: #dtiys_frauv8 #colorthisin_frauv8 - No deadlines. All entries will be featured as a story highlight. Feel free to look through my account for references. I await to see how you draw/color my OC Cedrick Kasper as a Necromancer Mage. 💀 (sadly, I don’t expect much interest and attention from this) - It’s the Kasper Fantasy Concept this time with Cedrick wearing his skull mask. Every Kasper Necromancer Mage has a skull mask they wear when performing rituals and spells. Cedrick’s mask resembles a goat/ram skull; his father Faustuz’s skull mask is that of a bird while his grandfather Richard/Death’s mask is a horse’s skull. Cedrick’s mask also has a crown indicating that he’s a prince since he’s the child of Princess Freyja and grandson of the Warrior King Erik Ström. — #digitalart #digitaldrawing #autodesksketchbook #drawing #ipadproart #ipadprodrawing #ipaddrawing #ipadart #halftone #animestyle #originalcharacter #originalcharacterart #malecharacter #blackandwhite #mage #skull #dtiys #frauv8

Circa 1992 when Johannes Faustuz meets his future wife Freyja, a foreign exchange student from Sweden. At age 10, Freyja was a lot taller than Faustuz even though he’s older by six months; this will be the case until they’re 13 when he starts getting much taller than her. - They first formally meet in the library where his aunt Yoko works. Freyja was looking for old English literature books, but noticed several fairies flying around; she follows them to see a boy she recognizes from her class reading a large stack of books on mythical creatures, mythology, biology, and science fiction. Freyja confronts Faustuz about the fairies and books, learning that he’s a Kasper, a family like hers familiar with everything mysterious and mythical. Because of their shared history and interests, the two become very close over the years despite not being able to be together all the time. — #digitalart #digitaldrawing #autodesksketchbook #drawing #ipadproart #ipadprodrawing #ipaddrawing #ipadart #halftone #animestyle #originalcharacters #originalcharacterart #malecharacter #boy #femalecharacter #girl #children #couple #frauv8_ocs

Uncle Heinrich with Hansel, Hannah, and Johannes Faustuz circa 1983-84. This was about one year after Johannes Faustuz was adopted by his uncle after his father Richard died overseas in Africa due to mysterious causes. All grown up, his cousins constantly remark how much he looks like their father (both Heinrich and Richard look alike with blond hair, odd-eyes, and glasses - except Richard was taller and didn’t smoke). — #digitalart #digitaldrawing #autodesksketchbook #drawing #ipadproart #ipadprodrawing #ipaddrawing #ipadart #lineart #animestyle #originalcharacters #malecharacters #femalecharacter #family #man #father #uncle #boy #son #nephew #girl #daughter #frauv8_ocs

The Kasper Family at an earlier time when Cedrick was a lot shorter and Johannes Faustuz had short hair; Freyja hasn’t changed much since except how she styles her hair. This would probably be when Cedrick was about 10 years old. (Faustuz was born in 23 December 1981; Freyja was born 30 June 1982; I still haven’t decided whether Cedrick will be born in 2006 or 2017 since those are the two most recent times October Friday the 13th had occurred) - The colors I picked for this pic screams Fall, but the weather here in SoCal screams Summer - it’s been super hot the last several days.🥵🌡 Cedrick’s sweater has each of his parents’ family symbols: the Kaspers’ black skull and the Ströms’ spiral. Freyja’s outfit was based off a sold-out piece of clothing according to a fashion article (see 4th slide), while Faustuz just wears a basic collared shirt and slacks with typical aviator-framed glasses (reference last slide); both Freyja and Faustuz are wearing wedding rings this time. — #digitalart #digitaldrawing #autodesksketchbook #drawing #ipadproart #ipadprodrawing #ipaddrawing #ipadart #animestyle #halftone #originalcharacters #originalcharacterart #malecharacters #femalecharacter #family #frauv8 #frauv8_ocs

These two lovebirds again. With their respective careers/assignments and raising a son, Freyja and Johannes Faustuz hardly ever have time for each other; if they’re lucky, they get to work together in getting rid of rouge creatures or collecting cursed items. - I originally started this as a crappy pencil sketch in my mini sketchbook at work, but using it as a base, I finished it up on my iPad Pro at home. But I should really try to get the Yōkai Project finished before Inktober creeps up - I’m still figuring out my prompt for this year. I’m really getting distracted and lazy, lol. — #digitalart #digitaldrawing #digitalsketch #ipaddrawing #ipadart #ipadproart #ipadrodrawing #lineart #animestyle #originalcharacters #characterart #femalecharacter #woman #malecharacter #man #couple #kiss #frauv8_ocs

Another Cedrick pic.🤦🏼‍♂️ With a cup of coffee.☕️ Just like the last one.😑 But why is he in Kiel when he’s supposed to be taking care of his father’s work? Johannes Faustuz is going to be shocked seeing both his son and father-in-law show up at the Kasper Manor. - I included the line art for anyone who wants to color it in - tag it #frauv8colorthisin @frauv8 If anyone is feeling ambitious, you can do this as a #dtiys; if so, tag #frauv8drawthisinyourstyle @frauv8 — #digitalart #digitaldrawing #autodesksketchbook #drawing #ipadproart #ipadprodrawing #ipaddrawing #ipadart #lineart #halftone #mangastyle #animestyle #originalcharacter #originalcharacterart #malecharacter #blond #teenageboy #glasses #watch #coffee #frauv8

A rare work drawing I made yesterday. It’s been a long time using markers, but it looks like I’m still able to blend my inks well. - It was supposed to be a younger Johannes Faustuz, but it ended up being an older Cedrick.😛 In my original concept made back in 2005-2006, Cedrick was supposed to be in his 20s; my current project has him at age 15-16. — #lechtturm1917 #sketchbook #minisketchbook #traditionalart #drawing #pen #pencil #mechanicalpencil #coloredink #blackink #ink #alcoholmarkers #winsorandnewton #originalcharacter #malecharacter #coffeecup #glasses #blond #frauv8

Haven’t done one of these in a long time~ 😫 Just felt like drawing a watch because I’m expecting my own watch to arrive in the mail sometime soon, lol. My dream watch is a NOMOS, but I settled with something that looks very much like it at a fraction of the price. - Anyway, I might make a digital version of this because why not.🤷🏻‍♀️ — #lechtturm1917 #sketchbook #minisketchbook #drawing #pen #pencil #mechanicalpencil #pilotpen #blackink #ink #originalcharacter #malecharacter #watch #wristwatch #glasses #bowlcut #frauv8

“Wunderkind’s Notes” on the Yōkai Cousins that will be featured: the Kappa, the Garappa, and the Hyōsube. There’s also a cute comparison to the the Kasper Cousins with the Yōkai, and Aunt Yoko being blunt in regards to Cedrick’s current bowl-cut hairstyle (Papa Kasper had the same hairstyle in the late 80s/early 90s). All three Yōkai are closely related based on behavior, but one doesn’t quite look like the rest - just like how Johannes Faustuz stands out from his cousins Hansel and Hannah. - For those who can’t read my cursive in regards to the Yōkai: “ KAPPA •Likes cucumbers 🥒 •All male •Lives in ponds and rivers - GARAPPA •Likes soybeans and cucumbers •Male or female •Lives in lakes, ponds, rivers, oceans - HYŌSUBE •Likes eggplants 🍆 •Mostly male; females rare •Lives in ponds and rivers “ — #digitalart #digitaldrawing #digitalsketch #autodesksketchbook #drawing #sketches #ipadproart #ipadprodrawing #ipaddrawing #ipadart #animestyle #originalcharacters #originalcharacterart #yokai #kappa #garappa #hyosobe
