Page 11: But it’s cute... - The tree may be tiny to the humans, but to the mythical creatures, it’s a mesmerizing object in the backyard garden - especially for Rosemarie the Fairy and Junko Akane the Hyōsube (who happen to be both pink like Sakura blossoms). - Kimiko hoped it was a tree large enough to lay underneath and look up as the branches sway in the breeze. But she can at least sit next to it for a selfie... — #malecharacter #femalecharacter #originalcharacters #frauv8_ocs #woman #man #sakura #cherryblossom #hyosube #pink #blue #green #yellow #white #autodesksketchbook #digitaldrawing #ipaddrawing #animestyle #comic #hanami

Quick notes on Dango.🍡 (Something I really miss eating when I was able to get it at Little Tokyo, Los Angeles; I also love Daifuku, and who doesn’t like ice cream Mochi?) __ #malecharacter #femalecharacter #originalcharacters #frauv8_ocs #woman #man #dango #pink #green #yellow #white #autodesksketchbook #digitaldrawing #ipaddrawing #animestyle #comic #hanami

Page 8: Frl. Flicka discovers something delicious... 🍡 - Fräulein Flicka is the Kaspers’ pet Doberman/Hellhound; she’s a former U. S. military dog who had serious behavioral issues until she was adopted. Nowadays she thinks she’s a lapdog, often jumping on the couch and sleeping in bed with Freyja and Faustuz. She can also be quite mischievous, often chasing Cedrick around like cattle, sneaking off with slices of Erik’s Smörgåstårta, or breathes out fire and poops out flaming turds when she’s turning into a Hellhound. - Kimiko is deathly afraid of dogs but loves cats (she might like Freud since he’s a dachshund). She also likes cute little animal mascots such as Hello Kitty, so maybe if a mythical creature decides to show itself from hiding... — #femalecharacter #originalcharacters #frauv8_ocs #woman #dog #pink #blue #green #autodesksketchbook #digitaldrawing #ipaddrawing #animestyle #comic #hanami

Page 3: “I do have a tree, but...” - Hr. Dr. Kasper usually doesn’t invite people over to his house for LOTS of reasons (his wife Freyja is a famous TV host, his father-in-law Erik Ström still stuck due to travel bans, there’s lots of little mythical creatures living there, his dogs go crazy with visitors, etc.). But he’s feeling a little pity for Kimiko’s homesickness for Japan, and since he has a small cherry blossom tree in his backyard, he’s cautiously allowing her to visit. Just hope the critters behave themselves, and hope Kimiko doesn’t get too nosy about his background... Faustuz doesn’t like having to explain things like why there’s a colony of fairies living in the garden, or how his parents met and died. — #malecharacter #femalecharacter #originalcharacter #frauv8_ocs #nurse #woman #man #doctor #pink #blue #green #autodesksketchbook #digitaldrawing #ipaddrawing #animestyle #comic #hanami

Page 2: The Herr Doktor goes Hanami in Hiroshima.🌸 - Hr. Dr. Kasper was raised by his aunt Yoko Kobayashi, a Japanese woman, so he’s very familiar with the Japanese culture and language (Japanese is actually his second language, which still surprises Kimiko whenever he suddenly speaks to her in Japanese because he’s German). Kimiko has much to learn about her mentor despite being his nurse for almost two years (she knows Cedrick is his son, but doesn’t know if he’s married or not). - I’ll have to post up a quick story script about how Kimiko met Hr. Dr. Kasper sometime. He treats her like a younger sister, but Kimiko is still confused about her thoughts about him. — #malecharacter #femalecharacter #originalcharacter #frauv8_ocs #nurse #woman #man #doctor #pink #blue #green #autodesksketchbook #digitaldrawing #ipaddrawing #animestyle #comic #hanami #sakura #cherryblossom

Hr. Dr. Kasper wearing traditional costume with a Grim Reaper twist.💀 - Johannes Faustuz has lots of traditional clothing he wears as a Grim Reaper related to the cultures he’s closely associated with (German, Danish, Japanese, Swedish) This outfit was most influenced by his Danish heritage, the red rose in his pocket grown from his grandmother Aina’s flower shop in Copenhagen. — #autodesksketchbook #digitalart #digitaldrawing #ipaddrawing #originalcharacter #characterdesign #frauv8_ocs #frauv8 #malecharacter #man #grimreaper #scythe #hat #rose #bow #skull #stripes #traditionalcostume #black #red #yellow #white

Heinrich is Richard’s chain smoking older brother, the former heir of the Kasper Family. Heinrich forfeited his title as heir when he married a woman not approved by the head of the family, passing it down to his brother and causing a strain to their relationship as close siblings. He also didn’t like his brother’s promiscuous behavior with women over the years; Richard’s relationship with a teenage girl was not an improvement, but Heinrich did eventually warmed up to Sigrid with his wife and children adoring her and himself enjoying playing chess with her (often loosing). After his brother’s unexpected death, Heinrich felt he should take care of his infant nephew Johannes Faustuz and raised him until his own death ten years later from lung cancer. — #malecharacter #originalcharacter #originalcharacterart #man #characterdesign #autodesksketchbook #ipaddrawing #digitalart #digitaldrawing #blue #pink #yellow #frauv8_ocs

Hr. Dr. Richard Kasper surrounded by a lot of holiday red and boca. He holds an Iris, a birth flower of February - his beloved Sigrid’s birth month. But at this point of time (c. 1979-1980), Sigrid hasn’t warmed up to Richard’s charms yet - she sees him as an annoying old foreign man with a lot of baggage constantly visiting her mother’s flower shop. — #malecharacter #autodesksketchbook #pixaloop #digitalart #digitaldrawing #ipaddrawing #originalcharacter #red #flower #man #iris #coat #glasses #boca

I thought I was done drawing this guy outfits! 😫 I’m sorry for not posting as much/as often due to burnout and feeling like a mindless zombie after work. I’m trying to start another short story with my OCs, but it’s so hard to get going and focused with a brain that’s turning into mush in this stressful environment called America (I live in California where it’s not skyrocketing cases, but even so, I feel like people aren’t taking things seriously with the pandemic). — There’s a reason why Johannes Faustuz doesn’t like growing out a beard, but there’s times it can’t be helped. When he has one, he strongly resembles a certain someone who he doesn’t like and doesn’t like him in return (it’s actually how he got his Instagram username 🧔🏼). Many assume he’s “Hr./Mr. Ström” being Freyja’s elusive husband, but that title belongs to Freyja’s father Erik; because of people’s quick assumptions about him, the Ström Family gave him the pseudonym “Jonah Fritz Ström” to use in public and media events while he uses his own name when practicing medicine or teaching (and not looking as glamorous in what Freyja dresses him up with). —— #malecharacter #autodesksketchbook #digitalart #digitaldrawing #ipaddrawing #fashion #outfit #man #stripes #longhair

An experiment to see how basic and simple I can digitally ink and color a pic; turned out really nice, so I might make another one. Thought about making it look like it was drawn on lined paper, but it was too distracting. At least I did it to the line art without color to make it look like it was doodled on lined paper. — #autodesksketchbook #malecharacter #boy #teenboy #orginalcharacter #orginalcharacterart #yellow #blue #green #pink #white #bowlcut #blond #blondhair #hoodie #starbuckscup #earmuffs #digitalart #digitaldrawing #ipaddrawing #lineart

Another point of view of “The Doghouse”. I couldn’t choose which version, so I just put all three in one post with the line art (4 slides total). - With Freyja using his personal study for her live videos and blogs, Hr. Dr. Kasper teaches Biology 101 using an old iPad Pro with Zoom in the indoor patio room where all the critters and houseplants reside (both agreed that their bedroom is a place that stays private). It’s almost a 💯% guarantee that at least one critter will make an appearance during class sessions, especially the family cat Klimt. Quick poses of Cedrick Kasper and Tricia Williams wearing quarantine attire. I’d happily wear either of their outfits any day, but what I wear for work is just as comfortable (I usually wear dark leggings with a t-shirt, polo, or soccer jersey, ball cap, and black shoes). I really enjoy quick fashion pose doodles like these, and sometimes I’d want to make a more elaborate version of them later on (perhaps I should do a poll on which of the two deserves a redraw). ——— #digitalart #digitaldrawing #digitalsketch #ipaddrawing #ipadart #ipadproart #ipadrodrawing #autodesksketchbook #animestyle #originalcharacters #characterart #femalecharacter #malecharacter #frauv8_ocs #pink #red #yellow #blue #black #teenagers #boy #girl #fashion #activewear
