Another color scheme pic; these colors are similar to a previous drawing (last slide).
-
It’s also a Kasper family portrait with Papa Ström stepping in.
Looks like a happy family, but seconds before Freyja snapped the shot, everyone else isn’t so happy - especially her husband and father (second slide).
Erik and Johannes Faustuz have a long history in not liking each other, but for family’s sake, they’re willing to set their grudges aside momentarily.

The end of Queenie’s show-and-tell craziness. Despite all the trouble Queenie caused, Papa Kasper is putting himself out to take some of the heat from Momma Williams.
-
Like her niece Tricia, Asia Williams is not too fond of either of the Kasper men, especially Johannes Faustuz since her husband spends so much time with him - sometimes more than her, which makes her jealous of Faustuz. But when it comes to Freyja, she turns into a screaming fan girl just being around her favorite TV show host.
Unlike the rest of the Williams, Asia calls Faustuz “Jo” or “Jojo” instead of “Hans”, but is still like her family in not calling him by his preferred names (first and middle, just his middle, or his title and last name).
-
Also featured is Queenie’s overly worn out teddy bear Mr. Bellybutton Fluff. He’s been her favorite toy since she was a baby, and has gone through numerous repairs and checkups over the years since Queenie first met the Kaspers (he’s made up of scraps from worn out scrubs).

Kinda another color study?
Line art practice?
Both?
Just felt like drawing these two as kids again. I probably should of added some butterfly hair clips since Johannes Faustuz and Freyja were kids in the 90s, and they’re getting popular again.
(kudos to anyone who had the same kind of bracelet as Freyja - I wore tons of those back when I was a kid)

Decided to make the final version digital instead of coloring with markers.
Crazy how some coloring makes the pic look different from the original line art.

The color behind Freyja should be familiar - it’s #livingcoral, the Pantone color of 2019 and same color I used in a previous drawing of her back in January.
The way she’s dressed should also look familiar - Freyja is wearing an outfit inspired by her husband’s work attire, only much more stylish and vibrant (and less wrinkled, lol).

⛔️You have been warned⛔️
This idea has been in the scraps pile for obvious reasons, but with recent media being out there depicting this particular subject, I guess it’s a tad bit safer to bring it up? It’s going back to archives after awhile with an updated post with more details about these three Kaspers.
It’s been hinted for a long time regarding Johannes Faustuz’s ancestors being involved with World War II.
It’s time to show them: Randolf, Olaf, and Adolf - the Kaspers during the Second World War.
Faustuz is very skittish about revealing his family’s history to others, afraid people will immediately treat him and his son Cedrick differently based off the fact his ancestors were not very good people.
-
The Kasper Family are snubbed by other families involved in the occult and mythological business due to their villainous behavior and historical circumstances (you can say the Kaspers are like Slytherin House in Harry Potter). It’s this very fact why Erik Ström didn’t want his only child Freyja falling in love and marrying Faustuz in the first place, even though he’s nothing like his predecessors (well, he’s just as hardheaded, intelligent, crafty, and occasionally creepy without being evil).
Kaspers throughout the ages were known to be merchants, advisors, politicians, mercenaries, whatever profession that can be used to obtain resources in questionable ways.
Since after the war with only Olaf surviving, each generation has tried their best to make up for the sins of their ancestors by using their skills and knowledge for good.

Original version of Cedrick and Frl. Flicka together.
It’s a more softer and painterly look than my usual tablet coloring.

A glimpse into Freyja’s garden with the Pink Fairy (named Rosemarie), the baby Wolpertinger (affectionately called Fritz), the Hyōsube in her miniature bathtub (now called Junko Akane), Freud the Dachshund, and a Mindanao Man-Eating Tree sapling obviously nicknamed Seymour.
The plants aside from Seymour are a tiny succulent, miniature apples (which Freyja calls “Idun’s Golden Apples”), a turnip, and a potted eggplant.

Cedrick Kasper picking out Klimt for his 9th birthday present from his grandfather Erik Ström.
-
Kinda like a redraw of an older pic from almost two years ago, except Cedrick and Klimt are both younger in this pic.

A break from the Hellhound arc - it’s Cedrick’s birthday!
-
For his 9th birthday, Cedrick’s grandfather Erik Ström allowed him to pick any one of his cat’s kittens for a pet (the others were given to other Ström family members). Cedrick picked Klimt, the runt of the litter, because he looks very much like his grandfather’s cat Klum. Like mentioned before, Klimt was named after the Austrian painter famous for his gold paintings due to his orange fur.
-
Erik adopted Klum from a breeder who didn’t want her anymore because she was believed to be too old to have any more kittens; Klum started to eat more than usual, gained weight, and weeks later gave birth to kittens, surprising everyone.
It’s quite obvious how each cat was named - after people with last names that starts with “K”: Klum, Kaulitz, Klimt, Klaus, and Kaiser (a fifth kitten Klein sadly didn’t survive due to illness).

Professor Vincent-Claude DeValeur with his pet tarantula Bonbon.
-
Being allergic to cats and dogs, Vinnie always wanted to own a pet. So he ended up owning pet bugs and reptiles (sometimes poisonous ones) throughout his childhood despite his parents’ dislike of them. No matter how you look at it, Vinnie loves animals despite them being able to kill him.
Currently he own Bonbon the tarantula, Malfoy the albino corn snake, and Lancelot the box turtle - all three live in his lab at the university he works at.

A quick one today.
And I hate spiders.🕷
-
Based off a comedy skit I watched recently about not touching one’s hair no matter what the circumstances because it’s so true - at least with myself and a few other girls I’ve known (it all boils down to you don’t have automatic permission to touch and play with another’s hair just because it’s different from your own).
I’m a terrible person.🤦🏻♀️

Here’s my Necromancer Mage.
I’m done with #inktober2019.
À bientôt! Auf Wiedersehen! Bye~👋🏻
(No... No... Not really, lol.)
-
#inktober is a big challenge, and this year I’m not feeling like doing 31 of these kind of pics.
Obviously I’m skilled enough and capable of finishing a piece in a day, but to make a really good piece, it takes the whole day - if not more than a day (I spent maybe 12 hours total on this guy).
This was also done on a large 10.5”x15” piece of paper (approximately 27x38cm), so I don’t think having another 30 of these lying around in my apartment is very practical (that’s why I’ve enjoy doing stuff digitally or in sketchbooks).
I might make another traditional piece, but not anytime soon.

Which OC is your favorite?
Comment below!🤗
-
It’s not all of my OCs since I could only fit nine of them in this template (there’s Vincent-Claude DeValeur, Asia Williams, Hansel, Hannah, Uncle Heinrich, and many others I haven’t featured yet in storylines).
-
I love drawing OCs since it’s like playing with dolls - only that they’re not actually physical in a tangible form; also, some character designs just stand out and end up getting used a lot (like the Kaspers).

Happy #nationalcoffeeday!
Why on September 29th?
No real reason - just an excuse to celebrate the dark liquid elixir that fuels human sanity and functionality.
☕️
And some people really take coffee seriously - like this guy.
Both Hr. Dr. Kaspers are lactose intolerant, but each one likes their coffee differently:
Johannes Faustuz like his coffee black with a maximum of two spoonfuls of sugar - no more, no less.
Cedrick likes his coffee sweet with milk alternatives such as soy, oat, and almond milk.
Like both Kaspers, I’m also lactose intolerant; I like my coffee iced either black with lots of simple syrup or get the flavored lattes with soy instead of whole milk (otherwise I just get iced tea/juice blends with boba).
-
So how do you like your coffee?
Do you even like coffee?

Which lighting looks the best?
1, 2, 3, or 4?
(4 is the same as the one without characters sans Soft Light layer effects)
-
It’s Freyja and Johannes Faustuz’s bedroom.
Either they’re getting dressed up for the day or undressed for the night - you decide.😏
-
Originally I planned on using a reddish-brown for the line art, but the blue just adds the right amount of pop for the details.
And of course I had fun with the Soft Light layerings - thus I have a hard time choosing which one to put first on the post.
I’ll have the full versions up on my Highlights since the original isn’t square format.

Still needs more lighting and shading. It’s not as detailed as the last one, but it’s still quite a bit of work.
