Rewinding back to July 1981 with Sigrid and Richard. No matter how much he turns on the charm, there’s no way in Hell she’s sharing her ice cream when baby cravings hit. - Both Richard and Sigrid wear aviators/glasses, which their son Johannes Faustuz also does. Work has been canceled until the 24th due to a number of people who tested positive for COVID-19. As far as I know, I haven’t been exposed to anyone sick, but with those who tested positive at work being asymptomatic really makes me nervous. And of course I won’t qualify for a test because I don’t have the classic COVID-19 symptoms or had contact with any with symptoms (my allergies, on the other hand, have been driving me crazy). Whenever he gets furloughed from the hospital or when his colleague Prof. Vincent-Claude DeValeur goes out on archeological expeditions, Hr. Dr. Johannes Faustuz Kasper becomes a substitute instructor. He’s more than happy to share his encyclopedic knowledge with students, but often times he’s constantly trying to keep their attention on the chalkboard and off their phone screens. And occasionally there’ll be a student being a smart-ass just to piss him off (this is actually how he met first Dr. Tyrone Williams). -🚨‼️RANT ALERT‼️🚨- Right now there’s the big debate on opening schools up again in America despite the huge spike of COVID-19. Personally I think schools should stay closed until infections go down; if push comes to shove, a hybrid of limited and staggered in-class hours and mostly online sessions might be best. But 5 days a week all in-class? That’s asking for another spike since it’s mostly young people that spread coronavirus with minimal if no symptoms at all. I’m just absolutely infuriated and outraged with all the lost progress from the three months of lockdown. If people were more patient, kept their distance, wear their masks, learn from the 1918 flu pandemic, listened to the science, and if we had decisive leadership, we wouldn’t be in such a mess. We need to flatten the curve, not turn it into Mt. Everest and lead the world in infections and death. If this is still the first wave, Fall and Winter will be even worse. The worst thing I’m seeing is that people are becoming more complacent with the numbers of infections and deaths; how many more deaths is too many? 200K? 500K? A million? The 1918 pandemic lasted about three years; if we don’t anything and if there’s no vaccine developed in a year, how long do we want this pandemic to exist? Still in quarantine wearing house shoes and casual clothes bordering pajamas as Hr. Dr. Kasper enters his study. Freyja doesn’t approve of wearing sweatpants during virtual work sessions, grocery shopping trips, rogue monster hunts, or collecting Death’s quota of souls - proving the saying that the wife chooses the pants for the man of the house is true for this family. - I had a lot of fun playing around with textures with this one. Originally I thought about adding in one of the Kaspers’ dogs, but I’m lazy and it would of covered up most of the detail in the mini book shelving unit. I also thought of adding on glasses, but with a pic of this size, I prefer them off to see his face clearly (last slide has Papa Kasper with glasses on). — I have work Thursday thru Sunday this week, then it’s going back down to Del Mar for the summer work season (as far as planned). If the pandemic gets even worse, I won’t be surprised if everything stops and shuts down again in California - and maybe no work.😑 - I have so~ much rage towards my fellow humans right now, especially with those who can’t set aside their national pride and politics aside to wear something that could save lives.
