Father’s Day is coming. What will you give your dad on Sunday? - He may not look it, but Papa Kasper is quite happy with his cup of coffee. He likes it steaming hot, without cream, and a maximum of two teaspoons of raw sugar. - He actually got his signature #1dad mug from a work raffle, not from his son Cedrick; it was suppose to say “No.1 Doctor”, but it was a mislabeled box. He got the mug when people didn’t know he was an expecting father, so it shocked them when he started using the cup religiously for his daily doses of caffeine. Fifteen years later, Johannes Faustuz is still using the same mug for work. — #digitaldrawing #digitalart #ipadart #ipaddrawing #ipadproart #ipadprodrawing #originalcharacter #originalcharacterart #characterart #malecharacter #man #doctor #blond #character #glasses #mug #steam #drinkingcoffee #fathersday #dad

It’s another #drawthisinyourstyle challenge - this one by @luxyscarlet. #drawthisluxy Totally loved the color scheme and anime look, so I really wanted to do it. J’espere que tu aime? (I know I’m missing accents and it’s probably written wrong - it’s been over a decade since I’ve spoke any good French. Je desole!😭) - Anyway, let me know which #dtiys challenge I should try next in a comment below. — #digitaldrawing #digitalart #ipadart #ipaddrawing #ipadproart #ipadprodrawing #autodesksketchbook #mangastyle #animestyle #femalecharacter #characterart #girl #cherry #cerise #white #red #cyan

It’s another #drawthisinyourstyle pic - this challenge is by @kurboi. #kurboi50k I try to stay away from super popular ones for less popular ones to support lesser known artists, but the color scheme... couldn’t resist it. It’s not as refined as my other pics, but it is was it is - a sketchy tablet drawing. - Let me know what other #dtiys challenges I should try - including your own. 🤗 — #digitaldrawing #digitalsketch #digitalart #ipadart #ipaddrawing #ipadproart #ipadprodrawing #sketchbookautodesk #femalecharacter #yellow #red #blue #kurboi

And the fairy is still pissed. Doesn’t help with Freyja calling her a cute little “Butterfly” instead of a fairy (“Schmettering” is one of my all-time favorite foreign words, along with “Pamplemousse” and “Yume”). — #digitalart #digitaldrawing #ipaddrawing #ipadart #ipadproart #ipadrodrawing #lineart #animestyle #originalcharacter #characterart #femalecharacter #woman #fairy #pink #green #orangeyellow

Shot through the heart! And you’re to blame! (Seriously - I must stop it with the song lyrics🤦🏻‍♀️) - The mermaid is shot through her heart, turning into sea foam and bubbles. With her death, Kimiko will soon awaken from her deep sleep. — #digitalart #digitaldrawing #ipaddrawing #ipadart #ipadproart #ipadrodrawing #lineart #halftone #animestyle #mangastyle #comic #originalcharacter #femalecharacter #woman #mermay2019 #mermay

Page 20 is finally done! Now I need to wrap it up with a couple more pages...😩 At least after the arrow shot, another “Wunderkind Notes”, Kimiko waking up in Vincent-Claude’s arms, and Tyrone dropping by to pick up his daughter and niece with a souvenir from his trip with his wife Asia. So at least 5 more?🤷🏻‍♀️ — #digitalart #digitaldrawing #ipaddrawing #ipadart #ipadproart #ipadrodrawing #lineart #halftone #animestyle #mangastyle #comic #originalcharacters #malecharacters #man #boy #waiter #femalecharacter #woman #bowandarrow #mermay2019 #mermay

Another character sheet: Freyja and Vincent-Claude - These two are rarely seen together for many reasons. Aside from not working in the same region in the world and working in different fields of interests, the Herr Doktor does his best to keep Vincent-Claude far away from his wife - Vinnie can be a bit of a womanizer. His latest obsession is Kimiko Abe, trying his best to woo her despite her rejections; but that doesn’t stop him from looking up and flirting with another female at whim. - Vincent-Claude is the son of Dr. Leyon DeValeur, Director of the hospital where the Kaspers work; he also works at the university as an Archeology and Biology professor. He’s not as familiar with the obscure and occult as the Kaspers, but as an Archeologist he’s able to obtain some artifacts if Erik is unable to provide a modern equivalent. - Freyja is a fashion supermodel who also works as a magazine editor and TV show host (think Heidi Klum with “Project Runway”); she’s also the heiress to the Ström Company run by her father Erik, wife to her childhood sweetheart, and mother to a teenage son. Under the facade of all those things, Freyja follows her father’s footsteps in being knowledgeable about mythical weaponry; she joins her husband and son when they need support and backup. — #digitalart #digitaldrawing #autodesksketchbook #drawing #ipadproart #ipadprodrawing #ipadart #ipaddrawing #lineart #characters #originalcharacters #malecharacter #man #femalecharacter #woman #charactersheet #characterdesign #characterstudy #frauv8_ocs

Closeup of these two cuddly lovebirds from my last post: Hr. Dr. Johannes Faustuz Kasper with his lovely wife Freyja Ström. - They’re the couple that make people say: “Aww~ Cute!” “Eh?! Taking a small break from the story again. My hand is getting a bit sore...☹️✍🏻 - The first of Cedrick’s notes regarding the mermaid (or “Meerjungfrau” for the Kaspers): “Only a young person pure of mind, body, and soul will be worthy of a mermaid’s bite so that she may regain her lost beauty. Once the mermaid has her beauty restored, the bitten will fall into a deep slumber until the mermaid is slain.” - 90% of the time, Cedrick is doing research and work for his father and others; 5% he actually does VR/AR operations, 4% he plays video games, and the last 1% he eats, sleep, goes to the bathroom, etc. And big disclaimer: I don’t speak much (if any) German, so if there’s any misspelled words and phrases, poke me to correct them for future reference. I’m trying my best to keep my characters as accurate as possible to what I designed them to be. — #digitalart #digitaldrawing #ipaddrawing #ipadart #ipadproart #ipadrodrawing #animestyle #mangastyle #comic #notes #writing #originalcharacter #malecharacter #man #boy #doctor #mermaid #mermay2019 #mermay

It’s poor Kimiko Abe the nursing student who gets bit by the mermaid.😭 Now the mermaid will have her beauty restored, also growing to human size as Kimiko’s doppelgänger. That’s not a good thing because there’s one man currently infatuated with Kimiko... - This one took FOREVER~ to color. Next page will most likely be black and white, but it’s still possible that I might make another colored one just because I can.😛 — #digitalart #digitaldrawing #ipaddrawing #ipadart #ipadproart #ipadrodrawing #lineart #halftone #animestyle #mangastyle #originalcharacters #malecharacters #man #boy #doctor #femalecharacters #girl #child #aquarium #mermaid #mermay2019 #mermay

Ouch. Then again, Tricia has always been mean towards Cedrick. But that’s why the mermaid is angry. Despite the mermaid’s hunger and desire to restore her beauty, Tricia isn’t a “pure maiden.” So who’s worthy of the mermaid’s bite? - I thought about coloring this, but again, I’m feeling lazy. Perhaps I’ll make character sheets next for a change of pace. — #digitalart #digitaldrawing #ipadart #ipaddrawing #ipadproart #ipadrodrawing #halftone #black #white #grey #gray #blackandwhite #blackandwhiteart #lineart #mangastyle #originalcharacters #malecharacter #doctor #man #mermaid #mermay2019 #mermay

A little bit late posting this pic up since it was made yesterday and it’s May now. #mermay is just around the corner. Do I plan to draw a mermaid/merman every day of May? 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣😫 My Gawd NO. I nearly went insane last year drawing so many of them. But~ I did have an all-time favorite MerMay pic from last year: Doktor Kasper’s mummified mermaid in a jar (swipe to last slide), so this year I might do a series of pics/comic pages on it (hopefully not one everyday🤦🏻‍♀️). Here’s a test/sneak peek with Queenie Williams intrigued by the creature. It’s another #drawthisinyourstyle pic. This #drawthisinyourstylechallenge was by @mawikatan. There were three OCs to choose from, but this was the one I’m familiar with since when I first started following them. #mawmawdraw - Let me know what other #dtiys challenges you want me to draw (even if it’s your own, lol). I try not to do anything with deadlines, but again, I’m not doing any to win anything (so it doesn’t matter). Going back to the early 1990s when Freyja and Johannes Faustuz were kids. They were childhood sweethearts with Freyja as the prettiest girl in the class while Faustuz was the nerdy geek and teacher’s pet. - As an avid bookworm herself, Freyja would always sneak up behind Faustuz to see what new book he was reading; she would often look over his head and/or shoulder to read some of his books since she was so much taller. After a few years, Faustuz would grow up so tall that Freyja would slip in between his arms not only for an embrace but also to read along with him. Because of their love of literature, they named their son Cedrick after the main character of “Little Lord Fauntleroy” (different spelling to emphasize the name’s meaning). — #digitalart #digitaldrawing #autodesksketchbook #drawing #ipadproart #ipadprodrawing #ipadart #characters #originalcharacters #animestyle #mangastyle #femalecharacter #malecharacter #characterart #blond #redhair #redhead #boy #girl #children #kids #readingbook #glasses #halftone #blue #orange #pink #white
