Alive or Dead? 💀 With October being “Spooky Season” with Ghosts and Skeletons, here’s a quick character comparison sheet of OC Richard Kasper and his true form as Death Himself (The Grim Reaper / Der Sensenmann). — #digital #digitalart #digitaldrawing #ipaddrawing #drawing #animestyle #mangastyle #originalcharacter #originalcharacterart #originalcharacterdesign #originalcharacterdrawing #originalart #malecharacter #characterdesign #characterart #frauv8_ocs #man #grimreaper #death #sensenmann #skeleton #bones #clothes #clothing #blackandwhite #black #white #halftone #autodesksketchbook #sketchbookautodesk

With October being “Spooky Season” with Ghosts and Skeletons, here’s a quick character comparison sheet of Richard Kasper and his true form as Death Himself (The Grim Reaper / Der Sensenmann). 💀 Richard’s fashion-sense is firmly stuck mostly in the 1970s, but he’s been slowly upgrading his wardrobe to the 1980s since meeting Sigrid (their story arc is set circa early to mid 1980s). As for his skeletal form, he often transforms into Death whenever there’s a marked soul he has to personally collect for Fate Herself; to see Richard as Death means one will most likely die, but occasionally he’ll be merciful and spare his victims for another time (hence “a brush with Death”). But the transformation takes a toll on his lifespan and health condition as a human, most of his incarnations living on average for 23 years (this was Death’s longest living incarnation due to better healthcare, treatments, and preservation methods over time - which adds to the mystery of how old he was and exactly what age did he live up to). Sigrid has seen Richard as Death in occasions, and was initially frightened by his raw appearance; but over time she grew used to it and was fully accepting when it was finally time for her soul to be collected. — #digital #digitalart #digitaldrawing #ipaddrawing #drawing #animestyle #mangastyle #originalcharacter #originalcharacterart #originalcharacterdesign #originalcharacterdrawing #originalart #malecharacter #characterdesign #characterart #frauv8_ocs #man #grimreaper #death #sensenmann #skeleton #bones #clothes #clothing #blackandwhite #black #white #halftone #autodesksketchbook #sketchbookautodesk

I’m still alive… I’m still awake… Work has also been busy (they really missed me, lol). And I’m barely surviving mentally with Creative Burnout, Artist’s Block, and keeping up with my Duolingo lessons (I’m surprised how much French I still remember from High School and College, and I’m actually starting to appreciate German despite being a frustrating language). Here’s something I finally finished that has been sitting in the Scrap Pile since June (not everything I doodle gets finished - sometimes it takes months to get back to or it’s never). Richard could’ve been a bit more refined, but my brain is at its limit - I’m still struggling with my attention span since having COVID-19 (it’s been harder to stay focused ever since; I’ve been recently buying fidget devices and trying to read books on my iPad, and it seems to be slowly helping me regain my brain’s stamina). — #digitalart #digitaldrawing #ipaddrawing #ipadsketch #sketchbookapp #pixaloop #originalcharacter #originalart #malecharacter #frauv8_ocs #man #blond #souls #green #blue #brown #yellow #white #pink #glow #sparkle #animestyle

For those who haven’t been up to date with my Instastories and wondering why I haven’t posted anything in a week, it’s because I got COVID-19. 🤒 I’m really in a dark mood with my condition one day feeling fine and the next (like today) feeling like I’m not getting better. I’m definitely over the sore throat, but the nasal congestion, coughing, and low grade fever just keeps pounding me in waves to retreat back to the couch and wallow in misery. 🛋 COVID is no joke - do whatever you can to avoid the worst of it. 🦠 So ja… Idk how much longer before I’m well enough to get a negative test… Plus side is that I can log in and do some stuff remotely, but I’ll have to limit how much I do online knowing most likely I won’t be paid until I’m actually back onsite. I rarely get sick and hardly get time off (I work weekends and every holiday except Xmas, and even peak 2020 pandemic I’ve been working while many stayed home), so in a macabre way this is finally a vacation for me - just not a planned nor ideal one. 💀 — #digitalart #digitaldrawing #ipaddrawing #ipadart #sketchbookapp #motionleap #originalcharacter #originalart #malecharacter #man #frauv8_ocs #roomdecor #window #blue #black #white #red #green #yellow #grey #gray

Death Himself (Richard), Hr. Dr. Kasper, and Cedrick - all three generations of Grim Reapers in one pic. 💀 Just a random idea I felt like experimenting with for a character sheet. Kasper Grim Reapers: Hansel (Hanzo), Johannes Faustuz, Richard, and Cedrick. 💀 Hansel is half Asian (Tante Yoko is Japanese with some Korean ancestry), and only takes up the role as a Grim Reaper when his younger cousin Faustuz is away busy abroad from Kiel. Richard is the actual Grim Reaper (Der Sensenmann): Death Himself. He gets a human incarnation whenever Fate feels like giving him a reward (usually once every 500-1,000 years), but can only live as a human for a short amount of time (as short as 15, no longer than 40 years). He can only be summoned by one of his living descendants if needed and can have a temporary human body for up to two weeks before turning back to his skeletal form. Faustuz is Death’s son and current heir of the Kasper bloodline with “Odin’s Eye”, an ability that allows him to see a monster’s weaknesses. His son Cedrick also has “Odin’s Eye”, and is his Junior Reaper accompanying him whenever there’s a rogue monster or wandering souls floating around. — #digitalart #digitaldrawing #ipaddrawing #characterdesign #charactersheet #originalcharacters #malecharacter #frauv8_ocs #man #boy #grimreaper #jeoseungsaja #red #white #black #grey #gray #green #blue #purple #yellow
