Poor Cedrick stuck taking care of Tobias and Queenie while Carmen and Tricia skip out from babysitting duty. (I know the feeling - I used to watch over other people’s kids when I was a youngster. Most kiddos were good, but a few did make me want to tear my hair out in frustration.) - Couldn’t decide whether I wanted #glasses or no glasses on Cedrick, so I have both versions. As usual, Cedrick is wearing something with “the brand with the three stripes” (it’s based off an actual Adidas sweater), and still has a trendy #bowlcut. Tobias has a #buzzcut hairstyle, while Queenie has #afropigtails as usual. - Cedrick is often stuck being a “boysitter” and doesn’t like being around other kids despite being a kid himself. As for Tobias and Queenie, they love being around Cedrick since he’s often much nicer to them compared to their older siblings. — #digitalart #digitaldrawing #autodesksketchbook #sketchbookautodesk #originalcharacters #malecharacter #children #teenager #teenageboy #boys #girl #babysitter #babysitting #sweaters #purple #green #pink

Carmen Rodriguez and Tricia Williams, Granger’s younger sister and Tyrone’s niece. - These two are the most popular girls at their high school, and they are always together wherever they go. Carmen and Tricia can be found at the mall almost every day after school, especially when they’re skipping out on babysitting younger siblings (Carmen has a little brother named Tobias, and Tricia has her little cousin Queenie). They’re mostly nice, but they do have a mean streak when it comes to guys - specifically towards Cedrick, his father Faustuz, and Tricia’s uncle Tyrone. — #digitalart #digitaldrawing #ipadproart #ipadprodrawing #originalcharacters #femalecharacters #teenagers #teenagegirls #teengirls #whiteshirt #bluejeans #redsuspenders #redheartglasses #hispanicgirl #africanamericangirl #blue

Pg. 10 I’m back to Vincent-Claude and the Herr Doktor’s mutant fruit flies. They’re very hungry. — #digitalart #digitaldrawing #autodesksketchbook #comic #comicpage #originalcharacter #malecharacter #ipadproart #ipadprodrawing

Pg. 9 How are they talking? Telepathy? Or they actually have jaws and vocal chords to speak? — #digitalart #digitaldrawing #autodesksketchbook #comic #comicpage #originalcharacter #malecharacter #ipadproart #ipadprodrawing

Pg. 8 Start of Part 2. - Those are very strong fruit flies in the tube to be knocking around like that... — #digitalart #digitaldrawing #autodesksketchbook #comic #comicpage #originalcharacter #malecharacter #ipadproart #ipadprodrawing

Page 7. End of Part 1. - Vincent-Claude doesn’t get along with his father for many reasons; it’s why he has a bit of a “Bad Boy” vibe doing things that makes Leyon upset such as smoking, womanizing, getting tattoos and piercings, and not following in his footsteps by becoming an university professor instead of a doctor. He does think highly of Johannes Faustuz as if he’s an older brother and enjoys talking with whatever related to his work. — #digitalart #digitaldrawing #autodesksketchbook #comic #comicpage #originalcharacters #malecharacters #ipadproart #ipadprodrawing

Page 6. Nope - he’s late. 😅 It might not take him long to get ready, but he hates being rushed to do so. Rushing leads to mistakes, mistakes causes issues, issues makes everyone angry, and when everyone isn’t happy it’s just trouble and misery for the rest of the day. - For me, I have “Call Time” before everything actually starts at work - you have to turn things on, set up stuff, put new information in, have graphics ready, etc., and that’s usually about 2 hours before first post. And even when I’m not working, I try to aim to arrive for appointments at least 10-15 minutes early just in case I have to fill out paperwork; 30 minutes early if I know parking is going to be an issue. It sounds crazy to think I’m going to be late when I technically still have time, but I want to be at my destination without rushing. Oh, and don’t get me started on what is called “Filipino Time” - it drives me insane when people you’re expecting show up over an hour late! Page 5. - I made three versions: •1) Plain old English for simplicity; it only shows how angry he is. •2) Most likely botched German with an English subtitle that matches the bad French with English subtitles I had done earlier in Page 2. Seriously - my brain hurts after writing in French and German, but it’s a character trait I want to show in some form whether it’s right or wrong. 😭 •3) English inside a speech bubble with German flag colors 🇩🇪 to show that he’s speaking in German. It’s the other option in mind to use if I can’t write either French, German, or any other language properly but want to show that the character is speaking that language. It’s probably my best option to use though it can look a bit tacky. - With that explained, which one looks like the best option - 1, 2, or 3? Whatever gets the most likes/comments will be used in future pages. — #digitalart #digitaldrawing #autodesksketchbook #comic #comicpage #originalcharacter #malecharacter #angry #ipadproart #ipadprodrawing

Page 4. - To be called by his first name only means Vincent-Claude is very concerned about the fruit flies. - The Herr Doktor rarely is called just by his first name - he prefers Johannes Faustuz, Faustuz, Dr. Kasper, or Herr Doktor. He absolutely hates being called Hans (Hans is his cousin Hansel’s/Hanzo’s nickname), and often gets mistakenly called Jonah. (It’s exactly like how I don’t like it when people call me Ann or Annie - it’s Anna) — #digitalart #digitaldrawing #autodesksketchbook #comic #comicpage #originalcharacters #malecharacters #ipadproart #ipadprodrawing

Page 3. - Some facts about these two long-haired guys: •Aside from his native German, Johannes Faustuz can speak English, a lot of French, and some Japanese that he learned from watching his aunt Yoko and his cousins speaking with each other; he can also understand some Danish due to many of his ancestors being originally from Denmark, and that his hometown of Kiel borders Denmark. •Vincent-Claude only speaks French and English; he can recognize some German and Spanish, and is clueless when it comes to Arabic when his grandparents speak it (he’s a quarter Syrian). — #digitalart #digitaldrawing #autodesksketchbook #comic #comicpage #originalcharacters #malecharacters #ipadproart #ipadprodrawing

Page 2. Whew~ I had to squeeze my brain and use Google a bit to get the French right. I’m ashamed to say that my two-and-a-half years of studying French has been reduced to baby talk, and half-year of German is now just mere random specks of Scheiße. Seriously - you don’t use it, you really loose it. 😓 I can read both languages better than I can speak them, and I can recognize them instantly when I hear/see them, but still, it’s really hard to understand and put things in the right grammar when you haven’t touched it much in years. So please feel free to point things out and correct me if I say something wrong. 🙇🏻‍♀️ Otherwise, I have another idea in mind to show that the character is speaking their respective language if I can’t translate it right. - Anyway, we finally get to meet the fruit flies Faustuz is extremely protective of. — #digitalart #digitaldrawing #autodesksketchbook #comic #comicpage #originalcharacters #malecharacters #ipadproart #ipadprodrawing

Ack - What am I doing to myself?! It’s another #comic in the making! WHY~😓😫😭😪😑 - This time we have Johannes Faustuz and Vincent-Claude. These two are in a way close, almost like brothers with Leyon being a mentor to the Herr Doktor and the father of Vincent-Claude. But despite being close in age, they couldn’t be any more different from each other aside from their nationalities: Faustuz is serious and trustworthy while Vinnie is quite carefree and can cause trouble unintentionally. — #digitalart #digitaldrawing #autodesksketchbook #comicpage #originalcharacters #malecharacters #ipadproart #ipadprodrawing

Like Tricia, 55F/13C is #freezing for most people here in SoCal. Even 65F/18C is considered #cold for some people I know at work (which I think is crazy because I think it’s perfect 😎). Me? Hmm... I’d start complaining when it gets below 40F/4C, which happens to be about the same temperature inside the production truck I work in during the winter. I don’t mind the cold during the day; it’s just when the sun goes down or when I’m stuck inside for work is when I start getting uncomfortable, especially if I’m not wearing the right clothes. And I know there’s colder than 40F/4C - it’s snowed here once four years ago, and even that is obviously not the coldest it can get. There’s always someplace else that’s much colder. For Cedrick, his hometown Kiel borders Scandinavia where it’s definitely freezing. — #digitalart #digitaldrawing #comicpage #autodesksketchbook #originalcharacters #malecharacter #femalecharacter #teenagers #fauxfurcoat #tanktop #ipadproart #ipaddrawing

I guess this is the end? Maybe one more? Either way, I’m TIRED! 😴 And #thanksgiving is pretty much over now that people are overly excited about Christmas (I’m not - it’s a big reminder that I’m getting older since my birthday is Christmas Eve). - Tyrone looks like he’s getting over his fear of cutting into former living things, especially with chanting what his coworker had told him. And Tricia is actually quite a bully, especially towards Cedrick - she doesn’t play nice and thinks Cedrick is a total nerd. She also calls him Dutch when he’s Deutsch. — #digitalart #digitaldrawing #comics #comic #ipadproart #ipadprodrawing #autodesksketchbook #originalcharacteros #africanamerican #family #father #uncle #niece #daughter #thanksgiving #thanksgivingturkey #turkey #phone #knife #cuttingturkey
