Which background color you like best on Cedrick and his father Johannes Faustuz? ❤️💙💛 Comment below!🤗 - I ended up with red, though I really like blue just as much since it really contrasts with the Kaspers’ blond hair; red just draws you in like a hummingbird. Yellow is nice being monochromatic, but it’s a bit too plain and their eyes stand out too much - I’d have to desaturate them into more of a grey-green color. — #digitaldrawing #digitalart #ipadart #ipaddrawing #autodesksketchbook #originalcharacters #originalcharacterart #malecharacters #fatherson #blond #glasses #animestyle #mangastyle #red #blue #yellow #black #white #halftone

Hearts and turnips everywhere! - Freyja is finally convinced that it’s not a Skvader in her garden because Mama Wolpertinger is huge (Skvaders to her are supposed to be like small rodents); Baby Wolpertinger also seems to really like Freyja a lot too. Mama Wolpertinger is extremely happy that she and her baby will have enough food for their summer hibernation; for next season, the Kaspers will make sure they have turnips growing in their garden. As for the fairy... Well, there’s one more thing waiting for her. Apparently she’s been punished for being such a bad little sprite. - This was actually fun to draw since it’s all the characters in this story in one pic. The fairy was definitely a fun character to bring back, and she’s most likely to come back again in something else in the future. Next story in mind might actually take place in the fantasy world or go back in time when Freyja and Johannes Faustuz were younger. We’ll see.🤷🏻‍♀️ — #digitaldrawing #digitalart #digitalsketch #illustration #ipadart #ipaddrawing #ipadproart #ipadprodrawing #originalcharacters #originalcharacterart #malecharacters #femalecharacter #autodesksketchbook #fathermotherson #wolpertinger #fairy #turnips #animestyle #mangastyle #mythologicalcreatures

Somehow Johannes Faustuz managed to escape the wolpertingers to get turnips at the local store. If the whole family is at the store, they need to hurry before Mama Wolpertinger decides to go kaiju outside their garden. - Note📝: Despite being very close and attached to his father, Cedrick rarely calls him “Papa”, “Vati,” “Dad,” “Old Man,” or anything else out of respect. Faustuz, on the other hand, often calls his son by his nickname “Wunderkind.” — #digitaldrawing #digitalart #ipadart #ipaddrawing #ipadproart #ipadprodrawing #originalcharacters #originalcharacterart #originalcharacterdrawing #malecharacters #autodesksketchbook #fatherson #turnips #animestyle #mangastyle

Freyja and Cedrick are looking for their missing family member, and they find his glasses with a fairy ring. I did some coloring and adjusting to the original line art (last slide shows original expressions). Pretty amazing what slight redrawing of mouths can do.😬 - All three Kaspers together looking over the miniature apples Freyja bred herself; she calls them “Idun’s Golden Apples.” It’s not known whether these apples really preserve one’s youth or keeps doctors away. (Cedrick and Johannes Faustuz are both doctors; would that mean apples to them are like garlic to vampires?🤣) - Anyway, some sleep and after one more day of work, I’ll try to get the next page done. — #digitaldrawing #digitalart #ipadart #ipaddrawing #ipadproart #ipadprodrawing #lineart #originalcharacters #originalcharacterart #originalcharacterdrawing #malecharacters #femalecharacter #autodesksketchbook #family #fathermotherson #pottedplant #animestyle #frauv8_ocs

Meh... Felt like drawing one of these kind of sketchy pics. It’s pretty much official that Johannes Faustuz is a millennial with how he’s dressed and acts (getting old, but ain’t that old - just like ME!) This version of the Kasper Project also takes place in the near future. - You can actually figure out what year Faustuz would be born on by looking at son’s birthday - Cedrick was born on Friday the 13th of October. The last time we had one was in 2017, and 2006 before that (the year I started becoming invested with this project). If Cedrick was born in 2006, he’d be 15 in 2021; Faustuz would have to be born in 1981. To push it a bit more into the future, if Cedrick was born in 2017, Faustuz would be born in 1992. Whether it’s 1981 or 1992, Papa Kasper is 100% a millennial. — #characterdrawing #malecharacter #originalcharacter #digitalsketch #digitaldrawing #green #purple #red #white #ipaddrawing #ipadprodrawing #man #lineart

Mama Kasper wearing a polka-dot bikini in the colors of her home country of Sweden.🇸🇪 But blue and yellow are also Del Mar colors...🤔 Either way, Papa Kasper would be dying from a nosebleed nearby, lol. — #digitaldrawing #digitalart #ipadart #ipaddrawing #ipadproart #ipadprodrawing #autodesksketchbook #originalcharacter #originalcharacterart #femalecharacter #woman #swimsuit #bikini #hat #redhead #redhair #blue #yellow

Father’s Day is coming. What will you give your dad on Sunday? - He may not look it, but Papa Kasper is quite happy with his cup of coffee. He likes it steaming hot, without cream, and a maximum of two teaspoons of raw sugar. - He actually got his signature #1dad mug from a work raffle, not from his son Cedrick; it was suppose to say “No.1 Doctor”, but it was a mislabeled box. He got the mug when people didn’t know he was an expecting father, so it shocked them when he started using the cup religiously for his daily doses of caffeine. Fifteen years later, Johannes Faustuz is still using the same mug for work. — #digitaldrawing #digitalart #ipadart #ipaddrawing #ipadproart #ipadprodrawing #originalcharacter #originalcharacterart #characterart #malecharacter #man #doctor #blond #character #glasses #mug #steam #drinkingcoffee #fathersday #dad

Cedrick’s first pair of glasses. - I was 10 when I first started wearing glasses, just like my dad. How old were you when you first got glasses? And the fairy is still pissed. Doesn’t help with Freyja calling her a cute little “Butterfly” instead of a fairy (“Schmettering” is one of my all-time favorite foreign words, along with “Pamplemousse” and “Yume”). — #digitalart #digitaldrawing #ipaddrawing #ipadart #ipadproart #ipadrodrawing #lineart #animestyle #originalcharacter #characterart #femalecharacter #woman #fairy #pink #green #orangeyellow

The fairy will be alright. Obviously she’s really pissed that she was randomly caught by a huge fluffy orange cat (last slide is a reminder). And the poor thing is covered with bandaids and gauzes - Cedrick only has human-sized items to fix her. - They look cute, but fairies aren’t usually liked by the Kaspers; they annoyingly enjoy peeping at Johannes Faustuz and Freyja at night, make really loud cries of attention (think Zelda games), and leave unwanted fairy rings (mushrooms) on their yard and garden. Fairies also don’t like being held by human hands - thus they really bite hard. — #digitalart #digitaldrawing #ipaddrawing #ipadart #ipadproart #ipadrodrawing #lineart #animestyle #originalcharacter #characterart #malecharacter #doctor #fairy #labcoat #blond #bowlcut #yellow #teal #white

THE END OF MERMAY! OMG!!!😩 - I just had to end the storyline with Johannes Faustuz wearing a tropical flower Hawaiian shirt as he holds his new preserved mermaid specimen in a jar. And the Herr Doktor has more jarred specimens aside from mermaids, which can be a future idea for a drawing. - So what’s next? Aside from miscellaneous character drawings and other things, I could make more series like this - but hopefully limited to a few pages versus 25 pages (32 if you include the character sheets and “Wunderkind Notes” - which is A LOT). And the halftone coloring is kinda fun since I really like using textures and patterns, so it’s something that won’t go away soon in my art. - Comment below on what you think - perhaps even suggest what mythological creature should be featured to keep the Kaspers busy? — #digitalart #digitaldrawing #ipaddrawing #ipadart #ipadproart #ipadrodrawing #lineart #halftone #animestyle #mangastyle #comic #originalcharacter #malecharacter #man #doctor #mermay2019 #mermay #fijimermaid #mermaid

Shot through the heart! And you’re to blame! (Seriously - I must stop it with the song lyrics🤦🏻‍♀️) - The mermaid is shot through her heart, turning into sea foam and bubbles. Page 20 is finally done! Now I need to wrap it up with a couple more pages...😩 At least after the arrow shot, another “Wunderkind Notes”, Kimiko waking up in Vincent-Claude’s arms, and Tyrone dropping by to pick up his daughter and niece with a souvenir from his trip with his wife Asia. Continuing with the mermaid running away in Kimiko’s form. - The mermaid managed to steal a few things from the Kaspers’ office as she makes her getaway: Cedrick’s favorite pair of slippers and lab coat with the Herr Doktor’s scrubs. Obviously Cedrick is not happy with 2/3 of his usual work attire gone. The mermaid picked his clothes because he’s the smaller of the two Kaspers even though he’s over a foot taller than Kimiko. - Now that she’s on the loose, who will the mermaid encounter next? Ouch. Then again, Tricia has always been mean towards Cedrick. But that’s why the mermaid is angry. Despite the mermaid’s hunger and desire to restore her beauty, Tricia isn’t a “pure maiden.” So who’s worthy of the mermaid’s bite? - I thought about coloring this, but again, I’m feeling lazy.
